That's strange...it worked for me. I caught Zapdos, then I defeated Articuno and Moltres.
After that, I went to the pokemon league to beat the E4.
When I defeated them I just went to Eterna and talked to Oak.
Did she talk with Oak?
 
Why are you walking in areas with wild Pokemon? For the birds? It doesn't matter because their IVs are set when you talk to Oak. So nothing you do after that really matters.

If you're RNGing for wild Pokemon - sweet scenting is prefered rather than running around waiting for one to appear.
 
do you have to force the journal to appear after hitting continue or do you just use it in your key items when advancing the RNG?
 
last question, if there is no caught pokemon on the journal entry, it doesn't advance the RNG at all right? so if you only have 1 page with a caught pokemon, you can just switch around to that one page?
 
kk now i only need to get the time right and the journal flips right, with a some luck I can achieve my first project for a shuckle, thanks for answering my questions

How does your math work w/a Frame of 2 (Target frame), 0 Roaming legends, and a Frame of 1 of Legends(for Giratina in Turnback Cave)?
 
So it says that if a pokemon is sweet scented in a cave, grass etc, it starts on frame 2? So if I need to get to frame 117 do I subtract 3 frames?

You're sweet scenting in a cave, right?

So it would be 117-2= 115. So you need to walk 1 step foward (without changing direction), then do 57 flips.
 
Okay so, I flip the journal 55 times(110) and walk with 5 pokemon in my party(5) Then I sweet scent 110+5+2=117?

Nope, read my above post.

Walking where there are wild Pokemon increases the frame by 1 each time you walk forward/turn direction.
 
That's correct. So just do 57 flips, step forward once (make sure you have a repel active). Then sweet scent.

Did you check the encounter tables and the frame to make sure you'll have the right Pokemon?
 
Has anyone here SRed for Flower Paradise Shaymin yet? The OP says its initial offset is 1, but I'm getting 2 all the time. Is it just with me?

Target frame - Number of Wandering Pokemon - Monster Frame

2 - 0 - 1 = 1
Walk 128 steps with one Pokemon in your party then catch Giratina right away.

EDIT: Anyone know if you encounter wild Pokemon in Giratina's room? If so, save so you have to take one step forward. Then just walk forward and catch Giratina right away.

That easy? Are you sure? I have to do that everytime I think I hit my Delay, right? What if I encounter a poke in a wild battle? Doesn't that increase by 1 or something? Or if I use Repel, it'll also increase the RNG, right?
 
You have to advance the frame by one.

Simply, if the room you get Giratina in has wild Pokemon, just walk forward one step (without turning) and catch him right away. Make sure you use repel just in case.
If it doesn't, walk 128 steps with ONE Pokemon in your party, then catch him right away. Make sure you hit your target time in delay though by using the coin flip method so you don't catch Giratina a few times and realize he's the wrong one.

Your target frame is 2 right?
