Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I'm having trouble hitting my target seed / time for pokeradar abuse. I wouldn't be fazed if my delay were off a bit, but instead my seconds are off by at least 2-3 each time. It's not just behind either - sometimes it's ahead 2-3 seconds.

I should note that I'm using Emloop to attempt to reach higher delays to get a flawless shiny ditto (and yes I know LightningFusion has a redis one but I want to try getting one on my own). I've had problems with having to adjust for Emloop before, so it may just be that.

My info:
Diamond Trainer ID: 47231 / SID: 02816
Target PID: 6937DA48 (MODEST)
Seed: 0A01082E
Frame: 122
Syncher: Modest Abra

Target Time: 3/2/2010 - 1:04:00 (Delay: 2084)
Clock Set Time: 1:03:00
Reset Time: 1:03:25.27 (using Emloop)
Delay: 34.73 sec.s (also using Emloop)

When I start the game, I'm in the middle of the field just outside of Canalave City. I'm pretty sure I've battled all the trainers. Help? Why are my seconds so off? I don't think I've hit my seed even once...

Help?

I'm about to jump into RNG for my wonder card Jirachi, then a thought came to my mind...does the save frame im on matter? I know it does for hatching so I have to figure out what frame I am on but is that the same for wonder card pokemon? If so do I just need to hit my delay and waste one go at it?

Not really, though you could if you really feel the need or if the NPC's are moving really soon after you start the game. The difference is in the amount of NPC's. There are some pokémarts (like Sandgem, the one I use) that only have one moving NPC to deal with.

can somebody please explain anything I need to do differently to get a Shiny Egg with the desired IVs in HG/SS (breeding RNG differences/changes).... even slight little tweaks.... and the same for Catching Legends (NON-roaming)

Im trying to capture my 1st legendary pokemon

Seed:990c026a(shiny timid hp grass 64 heatran by methodj)
ID: 19560
SID 7804
Date 6/6/2006
Delay 600 & 602 (but the delay im gonna hit is 612)
This result give me a frame and a actual frame, whic frame am I suppose use doing the calculation, frame or actual?
I think I got the seed from JavaRNG

Edit
I figured it out

Okay so I am restarting a ROM file on my r4i, and I'm trying to RNG for a specific ID/SID. Here's what I'm trying to abuse for:
ID: 01222
SID: 47328

or
ID: 24998
SID: 63376

I have been searching using Wild Eep's ID Finder for the past few days to no avail. Could I possibly get some help in finding a SEED with the correct times, delay, etc., etc.? It would be much appreciated.

ok has anyone one else had this problem while trying to abuse Gamestop jirachi, no mater what I do or how many times I resave the game refuses too land on the necessary frame 4 it always lands on 3 or 5 no matter how I adjust my frame advancements

umm... just a really quick question... is it necessary to have EXACTLY 5 pokemon in the party when catching the poke before doing the taps and whatnot? can it not be 3 or 4 or 2? if not... than just a suggestion... make a BIG note about that... and add that to the thing about what problems could be occuring when trying to hatch a shiny... I'm gonna feel REALLY dumb if it HAS to be 5... I don't quite understand why it would be that way but it may be and if so I am an Idiot... i've been doing it for 2 weeks with 3 pokes and cant seem to get a shiny... thank's everybody (and yes... I HAVE RNGd before and have made sure everything else is in order)

EDIT: @Nexus... I had the same problem a couple weeks ago trying to get a Surskit... I was trying to hit 58 and kept hitting 57 or 59... then I tried hitting 57 and hit 58... I think that the games know we're onto them... those BITCHES.... anyway... mine just kinda... resolved itself (I for some reason was finally able to hit 58) so... it may just do the same

Thats because you HAVE to have 6 Pokemon in your party because the amount of taps are multiplied by how many Pokemon are in your Party...
So if you have 5 Pokes when you begin the game and catch one that makes 6...

AHHHHHH.... I'M FUCKING RETARDED (thank you SOOO much...)
When I re-open a shop (hopefully in about 2 weeks... i'm giving you 5 credits)

My sincere apologies if this has already been brought up - I love your software, but I've noticed a bug in the chain to SID function. There is no option for 87.5% male and 12.5% female. Since I have a bunch of shiny Eevee I want to use to try to find my SID, this creates a bit of an issue...

Again, I don't want to be one of those people who posts about something that's already been brought up 10,000 times, but I can't seem to find any corroborations of this issue yet. So I just wanted to bring it up. Guess I'll try using my Pichu now.

Thanks again for your neat software!

Uh, look harder. I'm looking right at it (in the latest RNG Reporter, 7.10).

Hope it's not off topic, but HG/SS egg IV abuse is pretty much cracked. It's just that there seem to be a few "extra inheritences" here and there, but pretty much you can get it to work.

will there be a guide explaining the process? I know it's probably similar to DPPt but the RNG advancement works differently. I'd love to RNG in HG/SS :)

Yesterday morning, my delay was 631, and I managed to hatch one almost flawless Pokemon like that. As soon as I did that, 631 stopped working. I re-calibrated and my delay is now 625 or 623 (from what I can tell). Any reason why it would suddenly change?

most likely, I don't see why someone wouldn't write one especially with the release of the english copies of HG/SS less than 2 weeks away in North America and about 3 weeks for Europe and Australia, so more people are going to be curious, but for now the bits of information posted here and on the PRNG research thread will have to suffice.

when you hit "A" to set your DS time... the "second" hand was different from when you first did it (even the slightest moment changes it).... OR your button mashing speed was slower last time

Actually, the time you set it shouldn't matter unless it throws off your seconds value. If he's tapping as fast as he can each time, it would still be within 4 from his average.

As for your question Wis3on3, there's no real reason to explain it. My Diamond, for example, jumps around between 613 and 625 on rare occasions.

Hi, Im trying to RNG the new Jirachi that just came out. Im trying to hit an even frame but I dont have any wandering Pokemon. I read that you can quickly pause and then get the jirachi to advance the frame really quick but I kinda want that answered more thoroughly. Any advice?

Also, if a person moves in the pokemart while you're doing coin flips, do they affect the coin flips at all?

If you dont have any wandering pokemon, is your frame gonna start on 1 before you get to that first page in the journal? Or is it some random number between 4 and 6 like when you RNG eggs?

I read that you can quickly pause and then get the jirachi to advance the frame really quick but I kinda want that answered more thoroughly. Any advice? the jirachi doesn't advance its the NPC movements do and what it means is to let the NPC move once to get that 1 advancement you need to hit that even frame

Also, if a person moves in the pokemart while you're doing coin flips, do they affect the coin flips at all? no coinflips run on a different RNG called the IRNG so NPC movements don't affect it

Ok I get most of it. So if the NPC increases the frame by one each time it moves or something? If thats the case is it one frame per step that the NPC takes or is it every time the NPC moves and stops? Im not even sure if this'll matter or not.

well NPC frame advancement is odd, usually if it takes on step without turning that counts as one advancement, if it turns without taking steps that's still one advancement, if it turns and takes a step that would usually mean that it advanced the frames by 2. Although occasionally the NPC might not move for a long time and during that period it still advances the frames, this happened to me when abusing my jirachi the first time, him not moving advanced the frames by 4.

Got another question here:

Can you manipulate whether the delay will hit odd or even? I only have one flawless Ditto and I need a 31/A/31/A/31/A spread(Something like that) which is on a even numbered delay.

On platinum you can insert a GBA cart like Ruby or Leaf Green and it will switch the delay, alernatively you can change the year to 2009 and it will also switch
