I tried to breed for shinys in this game with no luck i think that when i get there ill ask for help on that ok lol
 
I've run into something odd with the RNG in the SS Safari Zone.
Seed: B60F175D
Method K Frame: 36 with Adamant Sync

I've used it 3 times already in different zones and had no problems, verify seed, pay to enter and walk into desired zones grass, call elm to locate my current frame, advance to 34, sweet scent and there it is.

Although this time I sweet scented using surf, so same process but only called elm up to 33 (as SS on water is +3 frames typically) BUT to my surprise it was actually method K frame 168....

How did I jump so many frames? Or is this just one of them 'HGSS quirks' we need to deal with and forget about?

Safari Zone on a retail card is not possible, as you get weird frame...I used emulator and kazo's rng helper to locate my frame, otherwise it ain't (yet) possible.
 
Would a legendary that's been bred using the instant-egg AR code, then RNG abused for IVs be of any worth trade-wise? 'cos I have a Latias and a shiny Shaymin done like this, but I don't know if anyone would want them.

Do you mean sweet scent on water in the safari zone to abuse is not possible or that abuse int he safari zone isn't possible at all with a retail cart?
 
Im calibrating with the RNG, and bearsfan092 sais I have to change the date. I used the current date for round 1 (18-3-2010), but what dates should round 2-10 be?

Unless im reading this wrong, that's an obvious hack... you cant breed legends...
 
On Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver, can you use the Red Gyarados' IVs to determine your SID? I know it's the same as a regular shiny, I just want to make sure there isn't some special case or anything because it's an event Pokemon.....
 
It's not the same as a regular shiny. It's the same as a Chained Shiny, so you need to catch it, note the IVs/Nature, reset. Do it again, noting down the IVs/Nature.

Do it a few times, then go into RNG Reporter's Chain to SID, and input those informations.
 
Okay this may be a stupid question, but how can i get my frame in Pearl to be even from odd? I heard if you put in a GBA game in the other side it advances it by 1 but this isn't working. (It's my Leaf Green cart)

I keep getting 13 when I need 14. I'm breeding for IV's if it matters.

inserting or removing a GBA cart changes the delay not the frames from even to odd and vice-versa so either recalibrate your frame or wait a little bit longer to get your egg.
 
I need help. I re-calibrated my DSi, I reset the date and everything, but whenever I soft reset and try to get the initial seed, it says there is no "reasonable" seed.....It has been working all day.....

It keeps saying to check the date and time, but I have already dug through and fixed everything. My clock and DSi have the same times and dates.....

are you trying to hit a higher delay? and what game... if its HG/SS did you remember to click the bottom left button that says "HG/SS delay"?

I am using my Platinum. I went to the generation 4 seed finder, and went to the "find seeds by stats tab". I am using Sweet Scent to find the Pokemon. I'm in the initial calibration phase......And it says there is no reasonable seed for whatever Pokemon I catch....I have been catching Pokemon from lv 48-50 when calibrating it, and it's worked, but now......

Rules of the thread listed on the front page:

If you are asking for help, these are questions you need to be answering in your post.

What are you trying to capture\hatch? Please specify whether you are attempting to breed a shiny Pokémon, breed IVs onto a Pokémon, or capture a Pokémon.

What is your target seed and frame? What is the delay of that seed?

How did you verify your seed? If using Elm's responses or coin flips to verify, tell us what YOU got. Not what RNG Reporter says.

If you tried and failed, what results did you get? You NEED to know this so you can figure out what went wrong. Results are either the IV\nature of the Pokemon you caught, or an ID\SID if you are attempting ID\SID abuse.

Posts asking for help without following these rules will be ignored.

You're missing a few of these. I see you got it working again, but you need to be answering these questions.
 
I was only calibrating it and getting the delay/seconds.....I wasn't trying to get anything yet....

Thank you, though. It's working now, so....
