Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Is what i dont understand is my delay exactly like i know your supposed to call elm and check if you got it but how do i know what to add in the pika timer to change the time a little bit

Ohh ya and btw to catch level 50 pokemon in HG/SS, you go to Mt. Silver and after some rock climbing you will go outside to where there is grass and stairs. Just put a level 50 pokemon in front and use a repel and run around till you get what your looking for.

Riski: Well I used RNGReporter Seed Finder, but was I suppose to enter in the IVs I want in the above section of the Reporter?

But are you saying I should use PokeRNG to generate seeds?

Gray: I see. So if using JavaRNG, I should lower my IVs a little?

Yes, you just have to hope you get lucky that your ID/SID give a good shiny spread.
I was lucky enough to get a 31/27/29/29/27/31 timid shiny spread, and even that isn't too good, just cross your fingers and hope for the best

For captures, I always use PokeRNG. It works for me.

However, don't ignore what I said about shiny spreads. Your wanted shiny spread may not exist in your game if your SID/OT doesn't have it.

That's very easy. Land in your game, do the Elm call/roamer verification and RNG Reporter tells you where you landed in your game right on the lower window in Seeds to Time. I wrote this in the guide. Go read it again, more slowly, while you actually do the RNG. That's how it was meant to be done. Read the guide while looking at your results so you can get a feel for what's happening when you RNG.

Alright. Lets start from the beginning.

You are saying I should use PokeRNG to find my seed?

(I am kind of getting confused as someone has been showing me how to use RNGReporter)

Quick note, you don't want to mention a flash cart, you aren't confessing to a cop...

I wanna RNG me a Jirachi but how does RNGing WonderCards work? I tried learning how to for egg hatching but it was really complicated and the instructions weren't clear for some parts.
Reposting. Also said the thing about flash carts because there was no need to specify you're using an illegal utility... We really didn't need to know and to be frank who cared? You're probably American so it's fine.

Thanks Riski and for your guide: To catch level 50 pokemon in HG/SS, you go to Mt. Silver and after some rock climbing you will go outside to where there is grass and stairs. Just put a level 50 pokemon in front and use a repel and run around till you get what your looking for.

It's up to you how you find your seed for captures. PokeRNG is faster and worth learning how to use; that's all I'm saying.

Hey, I am trying to hit a delay in HG, but whenever I enter the results of the roamers in my game (I have all 3 out) to find what delay I hit, I never get results, it just tells me it could not be found, can someone help?

Let me get this straight. Are you trying to calibrate?

Or are you trying to actually do an RNG on something, like an egg or capture?

Which are you doing?

*sigh* Well I have no problem downloading it, it is just it seems like someone keeps telling me something new to use. Which causes confusion onto me as I get use to using one thing and then am told to use another thing.

im trying to catch and in your guide is says you dont know where to catch level 50 pokes in HG/SS so i was saying you could put that in there. sorry for the confusion lol

Main tools: PokeRNG to find capture spreads, RNG Reporter, and pikatimer. I think that about covers everything you'll need in captures. There is one more program out there that works similar to PokeRNG and downloading the radioseed thingy isn't too bad either, haha.

Alright. Thank you Bakus. I am inputting the info into PokeRNG right now. Once I find my seed, I will head back to RNGReporter. I will post back here if I have any other questions.

Everything looks fine. Now you need to use the timer and find out where you land in your game. You use the mistakes (landing on the wrong delay) to adjust the timer to get closer to landing on the right delay.

Edit:

@ Wishy, do not change your Pikatimer values. Keep the wanted seconds the same as you have in RNG Reporter. Simply change the minutes of the DS clock to either one minute earlier or one minute later, depending on if you are landing earlier or later. One minute on the DS clock accounts for one second getting into the game.

 1:10:50 (except wrong delay, oh well >_>)

Took a little trickery and some observation and I found the time that works (As well as taking out my FireRed cart, once I did that it worked... And I've been getting Even delays which is good cause 950 is even).

weehooo

Garchomp, do you mean the Elm calls in RNGReporter?

If so, let me guess you enter it the second time and they say you can't find anything?

Everything before this post led me to believe that you already know your usual delay and usual seconds. You only need to capture a level 50 pokemon in HGSS to calibrate. That is the only time you need it. Elm calls and roamers tell you everything else once you have a seed and are ready to do an actual RNG. Do not confuse the sections of the guide for HGSS with the sections of the guide for DPPt. They are not done the same way.

No, I need to advance the frame 9 times (or, so says Coktal who is walking me through this since I dont really know what Im doing) so he said to use the Roamer Method to find what Delay I hit since Elm wouldnt work, SO, I put in the roamer locations and all that...but it always said it found no match...so now what?

It means you put something in the RNG Reporter fields incorrectly, such as the saved positions of the roamers before you started your soft resets, or the dates/times, or the dates/times on your DS. So check everything again. Re-save your game and make a note of the roamer positions before you start the soft-resets again.

hey so my friend had to leave in the middle of giving me some instruction so I have my OT my SID my delay and my seconds and I want to breed a non-shiny flawless pokemon so what do I do

From your guide:For those without the AR and who are on HGSS, I'm not sure where the level 50 pokes are, but one person on this forum suggested catching Ho-Oh several times. Since you soft reset, just master ball him without saving. Or you could collect about 15 to 20 rare candies and use these to level up level 40 and up pokes. Whatever you do, catch your poke fast. The leveling up can be slow, but the catching has to happen as soon as possible, within the first minute preferably.

The way i said is just a little easier imo and maybe... you could add it to the guide is all im saying and ya my usual delay is 489

Riski, is there a good min and max delay, I should put into the PokeRNG to find a good Shiny latias?

So far my results seem to fail.

Um, Coktal said I didnt need to put there locations in before saving, DO I have to then?

That statement was made for people who still need to calibrate in HGSS and that was all it was for. You need to keep reading to get to the steps of doing the RNG.
