Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Ohh.. so Howie, could you be generous and explain how you can get such IV spread? Say I'll want to go for any x/x/x/31/31/31 spread, how would I find the IV's/nature for that? How would I know when to turn on and how long to wait?

To get those crazy high-leveled Magikarp in the Resort Area, do I simply fish with the Old Rod in the little pond area with the island? Or is there something else I can do to get them? See, I keep getting variables for certain IVs in the level 50 pokemon I'm catching, so I don't get the best results.

you would have to find your range of delays, the time it takes to load up your game, and how fast you can grab the egg. For me it would be 14 seconds to start up the game (from hitting Start Select L R to pressing A on Continue), 3 frames into the game I would have gotten the egg, and I generally hit delay 618.
You would take your range of Delays, or delay as I did it :X, and the seconds it takes you to start up your game and plug it into the DPPt Time Finder, Offset is the frames it took you to get the egg, minimum delay is your minimum when you tested and for maximum... same thing except with your maximum delay, and seconds would be ... the seconds it took you to start up the game. Then you'd want to hit all the ==31 buttons to the right so that it'll look for a spread that has all 31's, in my case when I did it I got April 30th at 21:34:14 with a spread of 31/B/B/31/31/A.
not sure if I explained too well :X

So to clear things up,
I'm resetting for good IVs, and I know what to do(sort of)
But after I get the frame of the egg, what do I do with it, as the Time Finder only has space for two numbers in the offset

You have to save in front of an egg. Reset, grab it immediately, catch a pokemon, get the initial seed, and find under breeding dppt that egg. That is your offset. Do this a couple more times, if it is consistent, find using the search good IVs with the consistent offset and a delay you can get.

I'm always getting frame 2 when resetting for Palkia. I believe it's because I'm using a Syncher, so the first RNG call is to determine if Synchronize will work, correct?

Using method J with the syncher set?

(and if so, seeing it on frame 2 means it really is on frame 2, as method J code encapsulates all RNG calls. So basically you're getting frame 2. Which is uncommon from the test data I have, but not impossible).

1 - Change the date according to the Time Finder Output i.e 2009 4 30

2 - If the change of the date causes the journal to show up when the game is loaded, save again in front of the Old man after the date change is applied

3 - Set the time as one minute earlier than the time given by the Time Finder i.e. 00.58 and hit A to save the changes when the external clock reaches a new minute

4 - Load the game and wait another minute before you s-reset again (L+R+select+start). By this way you make sure you soft-resetted at 00.59 and since you know from the Calibration Phase that it takes you 15 seconds to load your game again this will let you start your game at 00.59.15. (Note : you have to hit A repeatedly after you s-reset)

5 - Receive the egg as soon as the game starts.

6 - Repeat the calibration phase to find the initial seed and the egg offset.

7 - If the baby in the egg desn't have the desired IVs repeat steps 1-6

I just don't get that part.
If you already have your info, why must you find it again?

6 - Repeat the calibration phase to find the initial seed and the egg offset.

7 - If the baby in the egg desn't have the desired IVs repeat steps 1-6

Because it will be different every time and you'd really want to see what your average is so that you can go for a spread you're likely to get. It's also to learn how to target a specific second and to practice doing that.

Yes, Method J, but I forgot to choose Hasty in the Syncher box. Now I did so and got frame 1.

Once you get the hang of it, it isn't so hard.

Currently going through J-method for good frame 1 spreads manually. Not so much fun.

Not sure how you are doing it, but if you look at the formula for seed generation it's pretty easy to manually jiggle your seed to look at large numbers of spreads.
