"Sucker punch" doesn't always imply a punch, as discussed before. But I am a 100% believer in the invisible hands theory.

I never understood Bullet Punch. Does a Steel pokémon use its body to wedge bullets between their fingers?

Grass Knot~It's a knot of grass?....okay I can see that but I don't see is it doing more damage to heavier pokemon than to lighter one. It's a freaking knot made out of grass, how the hell does Swampert suffers more than freaking Gastodon?

You're tying up someone in grass and hanging them. Heavier Pokémon put more stress on the knot. I think.

Gastrodon's pretty light.

With Grass Knot, I'm guessing it trips the opponent (so it makes sense that heavier = more damage). Similar to how Low Kick knocks the enemy off their feet or whatever they support themselves with.

I guess the idea with Grass Knot is that they trip over it. Gastrodon has no legs and therefore can't really trip. I don't get that Grass Knot is special though.

edit: pirate beat me to it.

I don't understand why they had to split the whole physical/special thing in the first place. For example, EQ never physically touches the opponent to my knowledge, like with the punches and such. My mental image of EQ comes from the first two Stadiums, when the Pokemon just jumps on the ground and creates an earthquake, which isn't too different from how Surf is depicted. I also fail to get how Bullet Seed is physical, while Bubblebeam and Spit Up are essentially similar but special, since I imagine the Pokemon spitting out bubbles and seeds and (I assume) stomach acids at the other Pokemon.

I also have no idea how the hell Weepinbell learns Slam and Tickle. o_o I wouldn't imagine Tickle from something that can also learn Cut and Swords Dance.

Well, the person hits the ground and the ground hits the poke.

There is no magic to it, just using your strength (or body) to shake the ground...xD

Yes yes, special. I'm multitasking(posting+breeding) leave me alone. =(

*backs off immediately and checks amazon to see if they sell bulletproof vests*

I never got how Doom Desire was Steel when it says in the description " summons strong sunlight to attack 2 turns later".

I always though the physical/special thing were done on how the 'Mon preforms the attack. IE, a punch, you sue your fists, or EQ, you slam the ground. With flamethrower, you just breathe on them, Psychic, you use your mind etc.

Trapnich and EQ... Isn't it a lil' small
