Hai thar! This is my first attempt at Bulky Offense, and I think I did pretty well, but i want to see if I can get my team better here. So ummm, My team at a glance:
Btw, If anyone can get show me how to get x and y sprites, that would be much appreciated :D
So umm, Onto TEAMBUILDING!!!
First up, I wanted to build this around one of my all time favorites, Dragonite.
So then, I thought about good synergy with steel types and fairy types. Then I realized one of the most underrated megas would work good in here: Enter Mega-Mawile.
I needed some coverage for Steel types so D-Nite wouldn't get walled, and ever since that "Not So Sacred" thread came out, everyone was all over Entei. So I tested him out and he worked great!
Then, because of entry hazards that mess up D-Nite's Multiscale, I needed a defogger. I wanted to test out Zapdos, and he did much better than just be support.
Just in case D-nite was forced to switch out after a beating, I needed support. I tried out Latias, because she was my only option. Luckily, she was actually very supportive!
I wanted some scouter, so I first tried out Lando. He didnt work so well, then I tried out Tornadous-T. Regenerator U-turn is so OP :D
So then I tried out Chesnaught instead of Latias, and he helped against the battle of the Rotom-W.
ONTO THE SETS!!!!!
PuffDaMagicDrag (Dragonite) (F) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscale
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Thunder Punch
- Earthquake
The main star of this team, The Magical dragon of all time, HERES PUFF!!!! What basically happens is i send out Puff, Opponent uses ice/fairy/dragon moves, does literally nothing, I get off a free DD that turn, and then I sweep :D Thunder Punch is for coverage instead of the old lame fire punch. It helps against Azumarill. Only threat is possibly set-uped Azumarill, and SD-ed Mega Garchomp.
Underated RU (Entei) @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 60 HP / 252 Atk / 196 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Bulldoze
- Extreme Speed
- Stone Edge
So since that post "Not So Sacred" made people realize how great Entei is, I decided to try him. He made a great addition to my team, with dat CB Sacred Fire. It hits great on anything that doesn't really resist it. He's such a great wall breaker, and deals with those Magnezone running around. The CB lock hasn't really effected me much, since he's just supposed to get rid of steel threats or more.
SuckerPunchLOL (Mawile) (F) @ Mawilite
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
- Swords Dance
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
There's my mega, the one with two heads, the best typing of all typings: MEGA MAWILE! I love Huge Power combined with Sucker Punch. Her typing helps against... well, anything! She usually sweeps, then my other Pokes come and clean up, then D-Nite from there on. If I can predict it, I can get a free SD off then sweep 6-0 fresh and clean!
Anti-RotomW (Chesnaught) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Serious Nature
- Spiky Shield
- Seed Bomb
- Hammer Arm
- Synthesis
Pretty much his Nickname sums it all up. He comes in, Spiky Shields, then choose appropriate STAB for the situation, and Synthesis to heal. I need a little help with the moveset, but besides that, he is one of the best RotomW counters ever!
Dat Roost (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 136 HP / 252 SAtk / 8 SDef / 112 Spd
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Roost
- Thunderbolt
- Defog
- Heat Wave
This is the hazard cleaner, but Zapdos usually gets off 2 or 3 pokemon dead. Most hazard setters are grass, so I can Heat Wave them and then start my sweep. Roost for coverage, and Thunderbolt for STAB. The EV's are a little weird, but they work good.
RegenerateUturn (Tornadus-Therian) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- U-turn
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave
- Focus Blast
And rounding up my team, the last but not least... TORNADOUS-T!!!! One of my best sweepers and scouters, his Regenerator ability makes him one of the best Life Orb sweepers ever. I usually go in as the lead, U-turn to a counter to the opponents lead, then in mid game, can sweep with ease. You don't even have to worry about healing, the nickname basically says it all.
So that's my team, please put suggestions, and maybe a new moveset for Chesnaught. I was thinking about maybe stored power clefable, but meh, she might not work good in the metagame. This team is really good, and can usually win without even getting to Dragonite! I will probably not leave a importable though. Thank you for reading this really long post, and leave suggestions pls :D
