	Munchlax
Normal-type
Boom boom boom
[Overview]
- Massive Atk, SpD and HP
 - Great movepool
 - Weak to common fighting type moves
 - A Tank

name: Tank
move 1: Return / Body Slam
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Fire Punch / Ice Punch
move 4: Seed Bomb / Pursuit
item: Eviolite / Oran Berry
ability: Thick Fat
nature: Adamant
evs: 236 Atk / 196 Def / 76 SpD
[SET COMMENTS]
- Return provides as great neutral coverage and gets STAB bonus, paired with Munchlax's huge Attack, hits like a train
 - Earthquake has a great base power and hits many Pokemon
 - Ice Punch is for Gligar
 - Fire Punch for pesky Steel-types that may try to wall you
 - Pursuit nabs Pokemon as they try to switch and hits Misdreavus
 - Seed Bomb hits Frillish and many Water-types such as Tentacool

- Adamant nature boosts your Attack
 - The EVs increase your Defense a little more since you lack in the stat and Attack is so you can hit harder while Special Defense is for spending those extra EVs
 - Thick Fat provides a great ability with this bulky Pokemon allowing you to take Fire and Ice-type attacks as if you had a resistance to them
 - Eviolite is great boosting Munchlax's already great defenses even higher
 - Oran Berry can be used bringing Munchlax's health back up but is a lesser option compared to the boosts Eviolite gives
 - Stealth Rock provides a good thing to have with Munchlax giving you a change to KO a variety more of things

name: Curse
move 1: Curse
move 2: Return / Body Slam
move 3: Fire Punch / Pursuit
move 4: Rest
item: Eviolite
ability: Thick Fat
nature: Careful
evs: 236 HP / 36 Def / 236 SpD
[SET COMMENTS]
- Curse is a set run to a high effectiveness by Munchlax
 - Return provides great neutral coverage hitting many Pokemon hard
 - Pursuit is great hitting most Ghost-types for super-effective damage who are otherwise immune to your STAB
 - Body Slam provides STAB and some paralyze support
 - Fire Punch is for hitting Steel-types hard
 - Rest is Munchlax's only option for healing but still useful as when the enemy thinks they are finally over with you, they have another full health Munchlax to deal with

- Thick Fat is great giving your resistance to Fire and Ice-type moves
 - Careful boosts your Special Defense to a even higher state allowing you to take hits like a sponge
 - Careful is just the preferred ability, Sassy works also lowering Speed which also proves no use with Curse
 - EVs are to maximize the defensive stats we are not boosting

name: RestTalk
move 1: Rest
move 2: Curse / Stockpile
move 3: Sleep Talk
move 4: Whirlwind / Return
item: Eviolite
ability: Thick Fat
nature: Careful
evs: 236 HP / 36 Def / 236 SpD
[SET COMMENTS]
- Designed to make Pokemon take entry hazard damage
 - RestTalk is great allowing you to Attack/Set up after healing off
 - Curse is to raise your Defense mostly allowing Munchlax to live longer
 - Whirlwind is to force switches
 - Return is another option giving you a attack but is also baiting in Misdreavus and Frillish

- Thick Fat is great giving your resistance to Fire and Ice-type moves
 - Careful boosts your Special Defense to a even higher state allowing you to take hits on the side your not boosting
 - EVs are to maximize the defensive stats we are not boosting
 - Entry hazards required if running Whirlwind
 - Tesshido provides a great teammate setting up Spikes and Stealth Rock
 - Tentacool is good setting up Toxic Spikes
 - Snover sets up Hail helping to whither down Pokemon
 - Hippopotas can set up Stealth Rock and Sandstorm but while entry hazards are useful, must keep in mind that many common Pokemon resist Sandstorm such as Gligar and Magnemite
 - Duskull provides a great teammate with Will-O-Wisp also as both Munchlax and Duskull cover each others weakness but while it bolsters massive defense stats, Misdreavus sports a higher HP and great defenses so eithe is a viable option

[Other Options]
- Munchlax can run a Stockpile set also boosting both defenses to a maximum of +3
 - As another way to heal, Recycle and Oran Berry can be done but with the loss of using a Eviolite is more a gimmick
 - Chesto Berry can be used to wake up after Rest and does okay with Recycle, could make a decent Stall set
 - Munchlax can run a SubPunch set to some effectiveness, with strong subs and good attack, you are likely to KO something with Focus Punch
 - Whith Munchlax's massive Attack stat and good defenses, running a Choice Band set will work consisting of Return, Pursuit, Ice Punch, and Fire Punch
 - Selfdestruct will hit hard

- Stong Fighting-type Pokemon prove to be Munchlax's greatest weakness
 - High Fighting-type damaging moves, usually Physical such as Hi Jump Kick hit Munchlax like a train
 - Komatana proves to be a good counter resisting STAB then hitting hard with its large Attack stat
 - For RestTalk set Regeneration Pokemon such as Meinfoo and Slowpoke won't care about and Stealth Rock or Spike damage healing it off when Whilrwind is used forcing them to switch

- Gluttony
 - Eat you held berry at 50% health
 - Good if you choose to use pinch berrys such as Liechi but still all of them remain unreleased
 - Overall the ability seems to be outclassed by Thick Fat which gives you a 50% resistance to Fire and Ice-type attacks
