Welcome everyone to the seventh iteration of the Monotype Winter Premier. This year, your hosts will be goldmason, evakiyama!, and magialice. This thread is for the aspiring managers who would like to lead a team in this tournament.

This years format will be as follows:

For those who would like to manage a team:
Please make a short post in the thread following the example in the hide tag below. If you think you will have any activity major activity concerns for the duration of the tour, please do not sign up.

Additionally, please keep the name of your team in the format of an adjective/location followed by a pokemon name. Unless your name is Chaitanya, there is leniency to the names as it is a more fun tour, but they will be accepted on a case by case basis.

What is your favorite song at the moment?:

Draft budget is 120k auction credits. The minimum amount of players required is 12. (10 starters and 2 substitutes). If you are a manager or assistant manager and you want to play for your team, please make a signup in player signups. Your team will have to buy you. One manager buy costs 17.5k auction credits, two cost 40k auction credits. Total retains + selfbuys is 2. There will be no midseason. You can't buy any additional auction credits with real money.

Manager signups will end <t:1762750740:F>. This might end earlier, with a 24h notice.​

Why would we make good managers?: Managed in MPL abd been active in the community since 2015. I’ve managed in side tours as well and played in MFPL as well on a team. My co-manager is a true veteran and a former tier leader of Monotype who has won MPL twice before. He’s a fantastic person to team up with.

Confirming, for myself I’m an active community member and have managed two farm leagues including MFPL, and haven’t missed the playoffs and elevate the team. Let’s get a ring

Why would we make good managers?:
  • Been an active member of the mono community across the entire generation.
  • My first Mono Co-Managing experience in MOMPL I, I made it to the finals.
  • Just finished co-managing BDSPPL and my team also made it to semifinals.
  • I've been in a wide range of teamtours across the generations ranging from PUPL, NFEPL, UMPL, MPL, MWP, NDPL, and NDWC and more.
  • Ask anyone that has been on my teams and they will tell you I'm super active and motivated and that has clearly extended to my managing positions, always supporting my players and the current record is looking like I make playoffs everytime I decide to manage something.
My Manager KniY has the following under his belt:
  • Played in three editions of PTPL and was a finalist of the most recent MPL XI and managed to best Rinda in the one game he played. He also played in MFPL II where his team made it to semifinals so he has involvement in the mono tour scene.
What is my favourite song at the moment:

EDIT 03/11/25 (DD/MM/YYYY for the unhinged individuals)

Adding benladil as the second co-manager, he has made it into the Mono Swiss Playoffs, and has played in MFPL and made it to the semifinals of the BW Mono Open.

Why would we make good managers?: I managed a bunch of Mono tours (MPL, MWP, MFPL and BLT) and outside of that managed HPL and some WCs where i bolstered my team to playoffs. Ethereal sword is the rising mono star with being actively contributing monotype community with not only in analysis but with tour scene too by winning b2b MLT and added to this, he debutted his managerial stint in this year MPL and took his team to finals. Crossheart is a familiar face to monotype community managing MPL and MWP and took his team to playoffs numerous times.

Together we understand the community very well and supported, motivated and more importantly to bring back the glory days of Madrids to this MWP. We can confidently said that we had the greatest team environment of all time in MWP and we will continue the same this year too.

- Mada is an established manager across multiple Mono and official tours, including recent MPL, MWP, and SCL, where he routinely leads his teams to playoffs.
- mind is one of the most dominant tournament players in recent history and has also participated and managed in recent Monotype tours.
- I have managed in multiple Monotype tours, winning 3x, and making playoffs all but 1 time.

What is your favorite song at the moment?: Chopin Ballade No. 3 (listen to Zimerman or Cho)

Why would we make good managers?:
Icarus: The Gholdengo's Goose has managed many teams for unofficial tournaments such as the Old Phoques to losing to the winning team in ULC and The Contort's who won the previous trios MOM tour. Knows what to do for their players to push them into the right direction and to keep team morale high with this experience and is a vetted player.
Kraken: Established player in the SV metagame currently ranked 6th in the 2025 mono circuit, placed 3rd in winter seasonals, and helped take the Avaluggs Ice Chest to finals in EPL. Shows great knowledge helping others in the mono cord and has the super power of being French.
Uta: Knowledgable player in other monotype metas along with being a skilled player to boot and will be a great asset to a team in that regard. Has managed the Bolt Bleak Blizzards to MFPL's finals and also managed unofficial tours like HGPL to playoffs, MSPL to playoffs, and AXPL to playoffs.

Why would we make good managers?:* Sage is currently playing SCL, is the reigning Draft Circuit winner, two time DCL champion, farming the Randbats circuit, and has what it takes to be a Big Shot. I am funny.
What is your favorite song at the moment?: I currently freak with Snow White by Laufey. Sage is a big fan of Believer by Imagine Dragons. She's a really big Dragonhead.

Why would we make good managers?:
I am veteran of the community, I have multiple wins in individuals tours. I have years of experience in multiple monotype tours including MPL, MWP, MFPL and MWC. I am a very active contributor in the community.
July is another active contributor of the monotype community. He has good managing experience ranging from managing officials and sub-forum tours such as WCOP, SSPL, GSCPL, BDPL, etc. He has also recently played monotype in MFPL as well.
Yedla is also an active community member. He is also a member of the VR Council. He has been competing in monotype tours such as MWP and MPL for a while now and has good experience. He has also managed MFPL, this year as well.

What do we offer over other managers?:
We will bring pure hard work and dedication to bring out every one of our team member’s potential. We all actively compete in Monotype tours on Smogon and the PS room and are extremely in tune with the community. (I will admit I am a proud yapper in the mono room and serial Discord lurker). We will easily be able to build a cohesive draft plan with members that will mesh seamlessly together as a team, with our knowledge of the community. Between us 3, we can build and play every tier at a high level, and really put in the time necessary for each member of our team to succeed. Our goal(s) as managers will be to breathe new life into old gens and push the current gen metagame forward.

What is your favorite song at the moment?:
I’ve been doing a lot of team building lately and this is something I like to listen to while im cooking builds or when im playing a serious tour game and I need to lock in.
