My 2nd RMT - Currently at 1637

This is my second RMT. On my first one I got some good advice but as I got higher up the ladder my team started to be less effective so I decided to make a new one. And so far it has been GREAT. I'm not actually sure what type of a team this is (would it be an offensive stall? Idk) Here it is -

mega_charizard_x.png

Charizard-Mega-X @ Charizardite X
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 248 HP / 32 Atk / 188 SDef / 40 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roost

I just love tank zard-x. Whenever I try out a different mega I find myself coming back to him. He has the ability to cripple and wall many top tier out Pokemon like azumarill, mega mawile, thundurus, bisharp, and rotom wash to name a few. With the event spread I have earthquake is a gaurenteed OHKO on heatran and he can outspeed bisharp, and a few other relevant threats. Dragon claw is a great reliable STAB boosted by tough claws and it hits hard even with the little investment I have in attack. Roost is very important in allowing me to last longer and to stall out burned pokemon who can't touch me.

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 16 Spd
Bold Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Heat Wave
- Roost
- Defog

Zapdos functions as my physical wall/hazard remover. He can take pretty much any physical attack (I haven't been ohko'd yet) and he walls a few top tier threats like talonflane and mega pinsir. He can take a +6 aqua jet from azumarill with no problem and KO with tbolt. Heat wave adds great coverage gets me KO's on quite a few important threats. Roost let's me increase its longevity and deog let's me get rid of those pesky hazards.

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spd
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
- Roost

Oh skarmory. Skarmory is my go-to physical wall. He can easily find multiple opportunities to set up rocks due to how little physical attacks actually do to him. Rocky helmet is useful for punishing physical attackers without knock off. I love switching into a predicted brave bird and watching talonflame take double the recoil damage. Whirlwind is very useful for shuffling my opponents Pokemon and for functioning as a panic button if an opponent gets set up and I can't deal with them otherwise.

Chansey_by_Xous54.png

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Def / 4 HP / 252 SDef
Bold Nature
- Aromatherapy
- Soft-Boiled
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss

Chansey has always been great on any team I have used it on, taking all special and many physical hits without a problem and stalling out and whittling down my opponents with soft-boiled, toxic, and seismic toss. Aromatherapy really helps out my team and prevents me from being toxic stalled or crippled by burn/para.

aegislash_by_theangryaron-d6rscu6.png

Aegislash @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Quiet Nature
- King's Shield
- Shadow Ball
- Shadow Sneak
- Flash Cannon

Aegislash is S -ranked for a reason! STAB shadow ball and flash cannon hit many things hard. I am running flash cannon over iron head/sacred sword because it let's me surprise mandibuzz's and let's me hit physically invested fairies harder than iron head. Shadow sneak is great for finishing off opponents who barely live one of my attacks. In shield form aegislash has the bulk to live almost any super effective hit which is why I am running weakness policy. I love when a ttar/terrakion tries to earthquake me only to be easily killed by a +2 flash cannon. Not much can live the combination of +2 flash cannon/shadow ball and then a +2 shadow sneak.

shiny_greninja_blue_outline_by_thecorvid-d6wt750.png

Greninja @ Expert Belt
Ability: Protean
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Extrasensory
- Grass Knot

Greninja is such a strong and versatile Pokemon and a great help to my team. With STAB on everything he can sweep like crazy. I have expert belt over life orb because I hate recoil damage. Surf/hydro pump/scald is pretty much mandatory on greninja and I chose surf due to its power+reliability. Ice beam can OHKO dragonite through multiscale and hits a lot of things hard. Extrasensory is for the mega venusaurs, conkeldurrs, and keldeos that are so common and could wall me otherwise. Grass knot is a great coverage move that allows me to ohko many bulky ground and water types I could have trouble with otherwise. He also adds some speed that my team is somewhat lacking.

Well, there's my team. I will appreciate any and all feedback on how I can improve on this team and make it even better:)

Bump. I made some changes after using this team a little more. I decided to go more defensive and switched out mega ttar for tank zard-x and azumarill for skarmory.

Ability: Stance Change

I think this is a very ineffective item for the Aegislash youre using. It has a very situational use, and necessitates that you take a big hit putting it to use. If you do survive a super effect attack (you will its aegislash) and want to switch out then youre left itemless later in the game. Leftovers is bog standard but veyr powerful on AEgislash.. with all the kings shield use. I suggest that change.

Greninja @ Expert Belt

Timid Nature

Greninja is a frail Pokemon, and although it can hit a lot super effective it cant hit everything. Charizard X, Scizor, and a number of important threats take huge damage from Life Orb Hydro Pumps but not all that much from Expert Belt. I sugges Life Orb in this slot as the recoil isnt that much of a concern to Gren. Secondly, Grass Knot is a good move if you fear MEga Gyarados however against two rather pervasive water types Rotom-W and Manaphy Grass Knot is very, very weak. Hidden Power Grass can end up being more efficient in this slot, though I do agree Grass Knot does have some merits, so consider that.

On Aegislash I think I will be keeping weakness policy. I tried leftovers out under a different account and wasn't too happy with the results to be honest compared to weakness policy. And I have won battles with greninja barely living with like 3% health and if I had life orb I wouldn't have won so I'm gonna keep expert belt. I prefer grass knot over HP grass because my goal is to take out the big water and ground types since I have stuff to deal with rotom/manaphy. Thanks anyways though
