My Bad Habit

Okay hey guys, its me, Kristy and I want to tell you about my bad... no HORRIBLE... habit. </3 Okay, so pretty much ever since I started competitive battling in Pokemon I've never played the games the same way. Before, I used to just train whatever Pokemon that I liked and I'd just have fun. But now, I'm like.. paranoid about everything. Like, when I get a Pokemon, it HAS to be the right Nature and have the right EVs for me to train it and "like" it.

Even my starters and every Pokemon I captured had to have the right IVs and nature. Do you guys do this or do you just train your ingame Pokemon separately from your competitive ones? I REALLY want to stop this habit but I feel like my Pokemon are "imperfect" when I don't train them with the right nature/IVs. ;____;

I am one of the most (BAN ME PLEASE) players I've ever heard of when it comes to "completeness" (this is why I trade/offer so much in the Wi-Fi forum; I want EVERYTHING), but I didn't give a shit to this Machop's IVs. It's in my team, and her nickname is "Failchamp".

If you're playing through ingame befor the competetive spot, its more efficient to grind against all enemies and ignore those stats, and then breed the pokemon you need. I don't have wi-fi though, so my competetive experience is limited to the battle tower... which makes me really excited for the battle frontier. I did make a habit of grinding my infernape in acuity lakefront so my infernape could do more damage with its all physical moveset, and using berries to drop its defenses so I could kill more helpless medichams and snovers for my own gain.

XD So pretty much you are just like me Areal? Yeah I feel like I HAVE to be a perfectionist in the game and its REALLY keeping me from fully enjoying it.

And I'm sorry for you not having WiFi Darth Meanie but I am also very jealous too because WiFi + competitive battling REALLY ruined my ingame experience...

De ja vu!

I think we all suffer from this Kristy, but if not for this level of depth I would have stopped playing long ago. It just wouldn't be the same if each and every Pokemon I hatched had perfect IVs...the good outweights the bad here I feel.

But heck yeah, I train my ingame Pokes seperatley. I don't give a crap about them guys. I went through the game with an Adamant Empoleon and a Quiet Staraptor then threw those dudes in the PC as soon as I could Pal-Park.
