Brief Introduction
I started off choosing a decent tank/sweeper to start off with; Scizor. With a natural bulk in defence, I worked my second member towards it's major weakness; fire types. A great addition to the quad resistance OU tier to fire is Kingdra. With stats all around, I decided to make it a bulky chestoRest Kingdra. To accomadate it's only weakness to Dragon types, I paired in a CalmMind Jirachi and a reliable revenge killer; Flygon. With a great advantage in speed and attack, Flygon will be my mid-game switch and scouter. Jirachi covers some of my weaknesses such as Gyarados.
Team Members
Aerodactyl (Lead)
Jolly/Pressure/Focus Sash 252Spe/252Atk/4Hp
-Stealth Rock
-Taunt
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
A lead with both taunt and stealth rock proves useful later in game. One of the most overused sets for Aerodactyl, I use him mostly as a death fodder. Rock Slide and EQ are used to get some damage off before dying.
Scizor (Swords Dance)
Adamant/Technician/Leftovers 56Spe/252Atk/200Hp
-Swords Dance
-Bullet Punch
-Bugbite
-Roost/Brick Break/Superpower
Yes, Scizor is one of the strongest OU priority sweepers in 4th gen, but I chose him for one more reason; his resistance to most of my team's weakness. With a natural bulk in defence, I can easily switch into something that does not carry fire-moves, SD it up, and sweep. Still need to decide on my 4th move.
Gengar (SubSplit)
Timid/Levitate/Life Orb 252Spe/252SpA/4Hp
-Substitute
-Pain Split
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
According to Smogon, SubSplit Gengar possibly became one of the most useful moveset for Gengar. As briefly explained in the introduction, Gengar helps out with walls such as Blissey. Gengar also acts as one of my Special Sweepers.
Flygon (Choice Scarf)
Jolly/Levitate/Choice Scarf 252Atk/252Spe/4SpD
-Earthquake
-Outrage
-U-Turn
-Fire Blast
Someone suggested a reliable revenge killer for my team (Thanks Zeph!), so I opted for Choice Scarf Flygon. I chose Fire Blast in particular to handle Scizors and Forretresses; a big pain to my team. Outrage is just there as his 'trump card'; quoted from Smogon. The rest is self-explanatory.
Kingdra (ChestoRest)
Adamant/Swift Swim/Chesto Berry 144Hp/160Atk/40SpD/164Spe
-Rest
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Outrage
With a natural bulk and a few DDances up, Kingdra could possibly sweep a whole team of 6, without a scratch thanks to ChestoRest. Two priority moves never hurt, plus the side effect of confusion from Outrage can be easily healed with Rest when need be. Kindra acts as a synergy to my Scizor and his 4x weakness to fire.
Jirachi (CalmMind)
Timid/Serene Grace/Leftovers 252SpA/252Spe/4Hp
-Calm Mind
-Grass Knot
-Thunderbolt
-Psychic
-Hidden Power Ground (Need to swap a move out)
A bit of a mixup, I chose to go for an all out Special Sweeper Jirachi. With it's amazing movepool and Calm Mind, Jirachi is possibly one of the best pokes to cover weaknesses. A natural sp.def and defence bulk never hurts. Some users mention I should include HP ground in Jirachi's moveset. Need more opinions on this.
Please criticize my team (but constructive) in any way that can improve it. Thanks! :)
