My First Attempt at an Uber Team

I have strictly been an OU player in the past but I am starting to get into Ubers. I have been trying different things and have come up with this team. It's been mildly successful but I know it can be better. I'll be the first to admit that my experience with ubers is relatively limited so my assessment of certain pokemon might be off. That's why I'm here for help. Any changes are welcome.

Mewtwo-Choice Scarf
Modest
EV spread: 252 Special Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
Aura Sphere
Grass Knot
Shadow Ball
Flamethrower

One of the most powerful pokemon in the game right off the bat. This set is designed to do as much damage as possible as fast as possible. Grass Knot hits both Kyogre and Groudon for massive damage. Flamethrower is for Scizor and Metagross. Shadow ball takes care of Deoxys-S, Deoxys-A, Latios, Latias and Wobbuffett. 447 Special Attack and 550+ speed hurt a lot.

Giratina-O-Platinum Orb
Modest
EV Spread: 144 HP/252 Special Attack/94 Speed
Calm Mind
Shadow Ball
Dragon Pulse
Thunder

Basic Calm Minding Giratina right here. The plan is to come in on something that doesn't scare Giratina-O and calm mind up. Then use the power of STAB and thunder to do as much damage as possible.

Garchomp.jpg

Garchomp-Life Orb
Jolly
EV spread: 252 Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
Swords Dance
Outrage
Stone Edge
Earthquake

"Garchomp is outclassed by Rayquaza". A lot of people have told me this. However it's not true. Garchomp can do some things that Rayquaza can't do. Garchomp is faster letting it outspeed more important threats. Garchomp also is bulkier and can stand more hits than Rayquaza.

Blissey-Leftovers
Calm
EV Spread: 252 HP/216 Special Defense/42 Defense
Softboiled
Thunder Wave
Ice Beam
Thunder

With my two main sweepers being weak to ice, Blissey is an excellent choice to come in and wall special attackers who pack ice beam. Everybody hates her, but she does her job well.

Dialga-Adamant Orb
Careful
EV Spread: 252 HP/252 Special Defense/6 Attack
Bulk Up
Rest
Sleep Talk
Outrage

Bulky Dialga can be real powerful after two or three bulk-ups. Dialga attracks a lot of pokemon with ground moves that can lead to free switch-ins for Giratina-O and can give Garchomp opportunities to swords dance as those pokemon with earthquake run away.

Scizor-Choice Band
Adamant
EV Spread: 252 HP/252 Attack/6 Special Defense
Bullet Punch
U-Turn
Superpower
Pursuit

Classic CBScizor. This set works generally the same way as it does in OU. Use U-Turn to switch out to a counter when the opponent switches and hit fleeing pokemon with pursuit. Bullet Punch also lets me take out frail sweepers such as Darkrai and Deoxys-A.

Threat List

Rayquaza: Garchomp outspeeds it and can hit it with Outrage. Mewtwo also outspeeds it and will hit with enough damage to put it in KO range from Scizor. Dialga can come in on outrage, bulk up and then KO with its own outrage.

Groudon: Mewtwo has Grass Knot. Giratina-O can set up on it.

Kyogre-Mewtwo has Grass Knot. Dialga resists its most powerful attacks and can PP stall.

Lati@s: Mewtwo has Shadow Ball to deal with them. Scizor can hit them with pursuit. Dialga can hit them with Outrage. Blissey can paralize them so Garchomp can outspeed and KO with Outrage.

Darkrai-Non-Timid Choice Scarfers are taken care of by Mewtwo. Scizor can also heavily dent it with Bullet Punch. Darkrai without focus punch can be dealt with by Blissey.

Palkia-Garchomp outspeeds and can hit it with outrage. Dialga can switch in and dent it with Outrage. Choice Scarfers can be paralized by Blissey and KOed later.

Scizor-Mewtwo can hit it with Flamethrower. Dialga sets up on it unless it has superpower.

Blissey-Garchomp, Dialga and Scizor take care of it.

Dialga-Garchomp outspeeds it and dents it with earthquake but has trouble switching in. Mewtwo outspeeds and can hit with aura sphere. Scizor annilates it with superpower.

Mewtwo-Scizor can handle non-flamethrowr/fire blast varients with U-Turn/Pursuit.

Deoxys-A-Scizor stops it.

Metagross-Mewtwo outspeeds and severly hurts it with flamethrower. Garchomp also outspeeds and can hit it with earthquake.

Lugia-Garchomp outspeeds and KOs with stone edge after a swords dance. Giratina-O has shadow ball to deal significant damage. Mewtwo has shadow ball to dent it.

Ho-Oh-Could be a problem. Garchomp can switch in on sacred fire but doesn't like being burned. Could use some help with this.

Tyranitar-Garchomp, Scizor and Mewtwo all have attacks that can harm it.

Garchomp-Another potential problem.

So that about covers everything. I could use some advice on how to deal with Garchomp and Ho-oh. All other suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

I've been using a similar giritina with pretty good success, but I find substitute is really good on it. Being able to protect yourself against status is a huge plus, as is the scouting benefit. Often I find there only reliable counter switches in only to watch me hide between a sub and take care of it no problem =)

just a thought, good luck with your team

ice beam some where on mewtwo maybe? Ice beam covers rayqauza and latias (i know so does shadow ball), and ice beam has higher BP anyway

Having stat upping pokemon is risky as it is (generally ok if you only need one turn, like Rayquaza or Garchomp). However, you have 3. Ubers is very fast paced and can hit you very hard and very fast, often before you even know what hit you. You will have issues finding time to set up one pokemon, but you're going overboard with stat ups (that many doesn't even work well in OU). You should change a few of your sets to hit hard immediately.
