ORAS OU My First Offensive Team

Well Hello Guys!
As you have seen from the title this is my first offensive team, thats why it might have some flaws; anyway first of all I'm going to give the sets, weakness of each pokemon and the *safe changes*, later
I´m gonna give the use of each and everyone; also I would try to say which pokemon could give me a little problem and how I´ll try to take them down; with all of this let´s get started.

N1.- Latios

381.png

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature (+Speed -Defense)
- Earthquake
- Draco Meteor
- Ice Beam
- Psychic

This is a lure latios as you may see it has 4 points invested in attack, earthquake and a nature that
dosen´t lower the attack stat this is because I want to hit latios's *safe switchs/checks* such as Tyranitar, Bisharp, Heatran, Metagross and Jirachi.
This will deal a lot or decent damage to unexpected trainers also it has Draco Meteor for a powerfull stab (The side effect of it dosen't affect Latios EQ) It has Ice Beam for type coverage and Psychic also as Stab (Might change it to Psyschok depending of what seems more usefull)

N2.- Gyarados

latest

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Ice Fang
- Dragon Dance
- Aqua Tail

This Gyarados would be one of the tankiest* pokemon in my team, as you may see it has Thunder Wave to try and slow down some pokemon that would cause some problems to my team, also it has the ability intimidate so it won´t take many physical damage as normal and for the offensive part it has Dragon Dance, Aqua Tail and Ice Fang this is because If i can get all of his checks Gyarados can sweep many teams with this.

N3.- Manectric (Mega)

latest

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Grass]

This Mega Manectric is the normal one besides having HP Grass, this is because I already have a lot of Ice Coverage.
This Manectic might benefit from any trainers who forget that manectric can have the Lighting Rod abillity and make an elecric type attack.

N4.- Scizor

scizor.png

Scizor @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Aerial Ace
- Knock Off
- U-turn

This Scizor is a Hard Hitter and maybe consider as a wall breaker, however it can be easily KO thats why I have the U-turn this for an easy way out and as well as a powerfull stab, it has Aerial Ace for coverage and because it gets a boost due the Technician ability, bullet punch for priority and Knock Off to punish the changes.

N5.- Victini

latest

Victini @ Choice Specs
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Blue Flare
- Dazzling Gleam
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball

This Victini will help for the accuracy boost in many moves also it is an special sweeper this means it will hit unsuspected pokemon, it won't get damage from a Ferrothorn; it also has many type coverage moves such as Dazzling Gleam, Focus Blast and Shadow Ball.

N6.- Terrakion
PCP639.png

Terrakion @ Assault Vest
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Iron Head

Although Terrakion isn't known for his bulkiness I have decided to put an Assault Vest in him because without any doubt Terrakion might be my most important Pokemon and I need to keep him alive, I have decided that his versatility and movility is more important in this team than his attack or speed, thats why I didn't used a choice item.

Well now that the team is already shown, I would say its type coverage.

Latios's Weakness.-
Bug - Covered by Gyarados, Scizor and Terrakion - 1/2 half of the team
Dark - Covered by Terrakion only (Backed up by his ability) - 1/6 [Must be carefull]
Dragon - Covered by Scizor only - 1/6
Fairy - Covered by Vicitni and Scizor - 2/6 [Must be carefull]
Ghost - Nothing covers it
Ice - Covered by Scizor and Vicitni - 2/6

Latios's Resistances.- Electric, Fighting, Fire, Grass, Psychic, Water
Latos's Immunities.- Ground (If there isn't any mold breaker, smack down/gravity users)

Gyarado's Weakness.-
Electric - Safe Switch by Manectric (If it hasn´t mega evolved yet) Covered by Mega Manectric and Latios 2/6
Rock - Covered by Terrakion only - 1/6

Gyarado's Resistances.- Bug, Fighting, Fire, Steel, Water
Gyarado's Immunities.- Ground

Manectric's Weakness.-
Ground - Covered by Latios and Gyarados - 2/6

Manectric's Resistances.- Flying, Steel, Electric (If already mega evolved)

Manectric's Immunities.- Electric (If it hasn´t mega evolved yet)

Scizor's Weakness.-
Fire - Covered by Latios, Gyarados, Victini and Terrakion - 4/6

Scizor's Resitances.- Bug, Dragon, Fairy, Grass, Ice, Normal, Psychic, Steel

Scizor's Immunities.- Poison

Victini's Weakness.-
Dark - Covered by Terrakion only (Backed up by his ability) - 1/6 [Must be carefull]
Ghost - Nothing covers it
Ground - Covered by Latios and Gyarados - 2/6
Rock - Covered by Terrakion only - 1/6
Water - Covered by Latios and Gyarados - 2/6

Victini's Resistances.- Fairy, Fighting, Fire, Grass, Ice, Psychic, Steel

Terrakion's Weakness.-
Fairy - Covered by Vicitni and Scizor - 2/6 [Must be carefull]
Fighting - Covered by Latios, Gyarados and Victini - 3/6
Grass - Covered by Latios, Scizor and Victini - 3/6
Ground - Covered by Latios and Gyarados - 2/6
Psychic - Covered by Latios, Victini and Scizor - 3/6
Steel - Covered by Gyarados, Manectric, Scizor and Victini - 4/6
Water - Covered by Latios and Gyarados - 2/6

Terrakion's Resistances.- Bug, Dark, Fire, Normal, Poison, Rock

With all this information it is easy to assume that I clearly have a problem with Ghost, Fairy, Rock and Dark types, fortunatelly I have moves that hit supper effective to those types.

And as you have seen I dont have an entry hazards remover neither an entry hazard user, this is because I actually don't see the point with this team but if I need a remover I might as well put defog in Latios or Scizor.

Anyhow I think I have a little disadvantage with Sylveon, Bisharp, Clefable, Charizard x, Dragonite and Thundurus maybe...

Well tell me what you think about it and please give feedback or some tips :D

Due to the amazing feedback you guys send me I have decided to updated my team based on your suggestions and in what I have seen my team struggle with; well here it is but first let me make an honorable mention to ong1324 and BreloomMyHomie

Manectric @ Manectite

Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def

- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Victini @ Expert Belt
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- V-create
- Dazzling Gleam
- Focus Blast
- Grass Knot

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe

Hi, good job with your first team! I'll definitely try to help you as much as I can with it. I'll leave the new sets below.

First of all, I think that this team would benefit more from Keldeo than Gyarados as an offensive water type. Keldeo is much faster, generally hits harder, and has the added bonus of not being weak to Stealth Rocks. Furthermore, Keldeo is an excellent Bisharp check, and can help somewhat against Charizard forms.

Now that you have Keldeo for some fighting type coverage, I believe that you should replace Terrakion with Tyranitar. Generally, Ttar is much bulkier than Terrakion, and can put out similar amounts of damage. Ttar would also help with that ghost problem that you outlined before, as well as checking stuff like Tflame better than Terrakion can.

The last major change I would like to suggest is replacing Victini with Talonflame. Talonflame maintains a strong attacking presence and has the added bonuses of being fast and having setup, as well as possessing arguably one of the best abilities in the game with Gale Wings. This makes Talonflame a revenge killer, wall breaker and sweeper rolled into one. I feel that the SD set would be good on this team for some extra set up and for the ability to do some cleaning late game.

Now for a few nitpicks. I would run HP Ice on Manectric, purely so that Lando T and Garchomp can't switch in without getting destroyed. I feel that hazard removal is vital on a team such as this, and as such Defog > Ice Beam on Latias. Furthermore, I would run Psyshock > Psychic purely to break through special walls. I would also run Swords Dance > Aerial Ace on Scizor for more set up.
Ok, I think that's it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me and I'll get back to you ASAP. Sets will be below.
Good luck and goodbye.

Sets:
Keldeo @ Choice Scarf/Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Icy Wind/Hidden Power Electric

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 100 HP / 252 Atk / 156 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Superpower
- Pursuit

Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Cool team and unique format! However, there are some things I feel are iffy about the team. First off, the teambuilding process. Trying to cover each type and not the threats in the current metagame will honestly make the team worse in quality, so in the future, try to focus on the threats in the current metagame first. Now let's get on to the team. Immediately, I can see that one of the biggest threats to this team is Charizard X. After Charizard X sets up a Dragon Dance, it can sweep the entirety of your team. I am aware that you have Thunder Wave Gyarados, but with no defense investment, Gyarados isn't a reliable switch-in. You could add defense investment to take on Zard X, but I wouldn't recommend it because the archetype of the team is Offense, not balanced. The sand offense core of Tyranitar+Excadrill can be hard to deal with as well, since every Pokemon is atmost 2HKOed by Excadrill's STABs except Gyarados, which is 2HKOed by Rock Slide after Stealth Rock damage. In addition, while you do have a check in Terrakion, it's pretty difficult for you to switch into Bisharp, especially when you have two intimidate Pokemon that give Bisharp a +2 Atk boost due to Defiant. Another issue with this team is that it lacks Stealth Rock, a move that almost if not all teams should have on their teams to make it easier to kill your opponent

My first suggestion will be Landorus-T>Gyarados. I believe that Gyarados is one of the more expendable Pokemon on your team, simply because Thunder-Wave Gyarados is more used on bulkier teams. Furthermore, getting rid of Gyarados means that your team has one less intimidate user, thus, hindering Bisharp's chances of getting a Defiant boost. In addition, with Landorus-T, you should be able to handle Charizard X as well as Excadrill more comfortably by taking anything they want to throw at you and threaten them back with the Earthquake.

My next suggestion will be to change Scizor's set into Choice Band. Choice Band Scizor with Pursuit and Superpower allows you to trap Lati-Twins. This is important because without Pursuit on your Draco Meteor switch-in, the Lati-Twins can spam Draco Meteor without having to worry about a thing.

My third suggestion will be to replace Terrakion with Keldeo. Assault Vest Terrakion isn't viable in the current OU metagame, and adding Keldeo on the team mitigates the Bisharp weakness. Sub+CM seems to be the ideal as it gives your team a set up sweeper that appreciates Scizor's Pursuit trapping capabilities.

My 4th suggestion would be to change Specs Victini into Expert Belt Victini with V-Create>Blue Flare and Grass Knot>Shadow Ball. Shadow Ball on Victini doesn't hit anything hard in the metagame that V-Create won't. Grass Knot allows Victini to lure in it's initial switch-ins such as Slowbro, Gastrodon, Hippowdon, and Quagsire and deal a ton of damage. In addition, I feel like V-Create fits better on this Expert Belt Victini, because it allows it to hit Chansey on the physical side.

Some minor changes would be to replace HP Grass with HP Ice on Manectric. Hidden Power Grass really only hits Gastrodon and Quagsire which are both taken care of by Latios, Keldeo, and Victini, while Hidden Power Ice allows Manectric to hit Garchomp and Gliscor for Super Effective damage. I'd also change Latios's set to a standard 2 attacking Defog Roost set to provide hazard control for Victini as well as for the rest of your Pokemon. Because that specific set does not have any Physical attacks, I would also like to suggest Timid>Hasty Nature so you don't inexplicably lose any bulk.

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys, I have tried this team 20 times and incredibly I managed to get 16/20 wins and as you may see Gyarados might have been the one who didn't worked at all, so thanks for letting me know a good remplacement, right now Im gonna try the Choice Band Scizor that BreloomMyHomie suggested as well as the Keldeo ong1324 suggested; however I have decided to keep victini because his abillity was super handy, I barely remeber a miss in all of my games but as BreloomMyHomie it might be more usefull to change victini to his set...
And last but not least I will try to change terrakion into a scarf one or change it for either Landorus or Tyranitar that you guys suggested; thank you very much.
