My First OU Team :)

This is my first team..... obviously :D I want to know if I should make any changes

1. Espeon @ Light Clay
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: (252 SpA, 4Hp, 152 Spd)
Nature: Modest
Light Screen
Psychic
Calm mind
Shadow Ball
I chose it because my team had a huge weakness to fighting, I also could use for another special attacker. I also love Eevee. I replaced Stored Power with Shadow Ball (thanks to Torty73) because Stored Power was useless when I had Psychic already. Light Screen is to set up when i'm about to switch to another Pokemon. Psychic if for a STAB move, calm mind is also to set up and Shadow ball is for coverage. Besides that, Espeon is pretty much just a filler pokemon but is can be useful.

2. Mega Gyarados @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Mold breaker (Intimidate when not in mega form)
EVs: (252 Atk, 128 Def, 128 SpD)
Nature: Adamant
Aqua Tail
Ice Fang
Earthquake
Dragon Dance
I wanted a mega on my team and it was originally going to be a rain dance team (I know its changed a lot) so it seemed to fit. I put as many types of moves on it to give it coverage and dragon dance to raise attack and speed for a sweep. I also split the EVs between Def and SpD to give it more coverage. It can be a good revenge killer sometimes. but it doesn't have bad defences so I can bring it in almost whenever I want without fear of it getting knocked out.

3. Weavile (SpiderWoman) F @ Focus sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: (252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 SpD)
Nature: Jolly
Night Slash
Reflect
X- Sissor
Aerial Ace
Not really much to say. I maxed out Atk and Spd because thats what she's good at. Like Gyarados I also tried to give her some coverage by giving it different types of moves. Reflect it because Weavile has terrible defences. I was going to give it Icicle Crash but Ive already bred and EV trained it without realising that you had to breed for it :( . Because of its high speed I can attack a pokemon that she is weak to, still live and set up reflect for another Pokemon to revenge kill if I need to.

4. Ferrothorn (Flerb) M @ Ganlon Berry
Abitily: Iron Barbs
Evs: (252 Hp, 252 SpD, 4 Atk)
Nature: Relaxed
Substitude
Giga Drain
Gyro Ball
Stealth Rock
Ferrothorn is in my opinion the best Pokemon on the team and the pokemon I semi- built my team around, kind of. He will very difficult to knock out due to the Substitute, leech seed combo and Ferrothorn's good defences in general. He is also very slow which will make Gyro Ball very powerful. I put stealth rock on it because..... why not? Right? I maxed out Hp and SpD and gave it the relaxed nature to make it well rounded and make it slower so Gyro ball does even more damage.

5. Jolteon @ Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: (252 Spd, 252 SpA)
Nature: Timid
Thunder Wave
Volt Switch
Thunderbolt
Shadow ball
Jolteon is pretty much just a faster version of Espeon (did i mention I love Eevee?). Jolteon will be my usual lead, being fast and having Thunder Wave and Volt switch. Shadow ball is because, well theres nothing really better to put there. I maxed out Spd and SpA for obvious reasons and the same goes for the timid nature. I chose Life Orb over choice specs because I wanted it to effect all the moves.

6. Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: (116 HP, 140 SpA, 252 SpD)
Nature: Modest
Soft-Boiled
Flamethrower
Toxic
Heal Bell
I put Blissey in because i needed something to take special attacks and well.... Blissey can do that :D. I put some SpA EVs on it because I wanted to be able to not only take hits but half decently attack back to. Thats what Flamethrower is for. Like Ferrothorn, Blissey can restore health with soft-Boiled, making it difficult to knock out. just incase It comes against something that is also bulky, I put toxic on it to help it knock things out quicker. Heal bell is to well..... heal things :D .

So, tell me what you think, im open to any criticism or advise you have :) .

this team isn't great, but try giving espeon an move like shadow ball as coverage, and changing the item to a leftovers or life orb. weaville would prefer a physical attacking move like night slash, and reflect should be replaced with brick break, and iron tail is too inaccurate and should be replaced with x scissor. ferrothorn is rubbish. try giving jolteon shadow ball over work up, and get rid of calm mind on blissey.

Hey! I suggest you bulk up your descriptions a bit, as they are a bit short. 3 lines is what is required in the RMT-rules. You can take a look at other RMT posts, and see what kind of descriptions they have written, and how they have built their own opening posts. Be sure to moderate the opening post to better reflect the RMT rules, and I'll be sure to come back and rate your team. Welcome to Smogon!

Are you using this on cartridge? Anyway, prepare for a wall of text dun dun dun lol
  • Your seem to be running Dual Screens Espeon. I suggest replacing Synchronize with Magic Bounce because Magic Bounce is hands down one of the best abilities in the game. Next, replace Life Orb with Light Orb Clay so your Screens stay up for more turns. Also, I also suggest running max HP and Speed and Timid. Espeon sits at a Speed tier with lots of threats, so you need to outspeed as much as possible if you want to successfully get your screens up
  • Run 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd and Adamant on your Gyarados (assuming you want the offensive DD set, not the bulky one). You do miss out on outpacing Mega Manectric at +1 if you're Adamant, but the extra power is too good to pass up.
    JOLLY
    +1 252 Atk Mold Breaker Mega Gyarados Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Rotom-W: 256-302 (84.2 - 99.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

    ADAMANT
    +1 252+ Atk Mold Breaker Mega Gyarados Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Rotom-W: 282-332 (92.7 - 109.2%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO
  • Replace Weavile's Focus Sash with Life Orb and run a moveset of Ice Punch / Night Slash / Ice Shard / Pursuit or Low Kick or Brick Break (whatever Fighting move you have). Ice Pinch and Night Slash give you two decent STAB options. Ice Shard has high chance of OHKOing Garchomp with Life Orb.
  • Replace Ferrothorn's Big Root with either Rocky Helmet or Leftovers (Leftovers is usually better for SpDef one). Next run a moveset of Gyro Ball / Leech Seed / Stealth Rock / Thunder Wave or Power Whip or Protect. This allows Ferrothorn to support its team and sponge in strong special attacks. I also think there's a better EV spread for a mixed wall Ferrothorn, I suggest you look that up.
  • Replace Jolteon's Thunder Wave with Shadow Ball and if you can, replace Roar with HP Ice or Grass. This gives Jolteon as much coverage as it needs (Jolteon has a pretty shallow movepool).
  • Run max HP and Defense and a Bold Nature on Blissey. While Blissey has usable SpA, you're better off patching Blissey's horrible Defense. It allows her to tank hits from both sides (kinda). Also, replace Stealth Rock with Aromatherapy / Heal Bell.
Sorry 'bout the wall of text. And sorry again if I make some mistakes about compatibility issues (Knock Off + Icicle Crash is illegal on Weavile iirc) and if some changes are pretty hard to do in cartridge. I hope I helped though. Good luck with your team!

Not gonna lie your team needs a lot of work. You seem to be new to the competitive battling scene. First off I suggest you read this entire thing because I will help you. Second I suggest that you Put this team on Pokemon Showdown that way you can test it out and also make changes quickly.

Ok let's go through your team.
Espeon: you're item is a life orb so let's make this a more offensive pokemon. You're moveset should be something like this

Calm Mind
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Signal Beam

The ability should be magic bounce. It's far superior to Synchronize.

Your EV's are messed up also. Espeon isn't made to take hits. It's supposed to be fast. With base 110 speed it's a sin not to invest in it.
Run this; 252 SpA/252 Spe/ 4 HP

The nature should be timid because when your speed is that high you should maximize that stat.

Gyarados is also messed up. Giving it intimidate was a good idea so essentially you have two abilities.

You're EV's are weird though, again Mega Gyarados is supposed to be a fast, powerful attacker. The EV's should be 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 HP

You're moves are mostly ok but there's definitely a lot of things messed up. Aqua Tail should be Waterfall. Aqua Tail may have more power but 90% will miss more than you want it to. Waterfall is just a little bit weaker but it also has the nifty 20% chance to flinch. Ice Fang and Earthquake are fine but the last move you are running is making me sad. Toxic? Why would you run toxic? A much better option is Dragon Dance. You get a boost to your extremely powerful attack and a nice boost to your speed. If you vs set up two of these you should be able to sweep weakened teams! Try it out! :D

Adamant nature should be jolly because you want to maximize speed. Because in this metagame speed is everything.

You're Weavile isn't lookin too bad. Trade out Focus Sash for Life Orb do your moves pack a bit more of a punch. You're EV's and nature are looking great! The moves are a little bit weird. Again why are you running Reflect? This thing isn't bulky enough to run Screens.you even say so yourself that it's defenses are terrible. Get rid of it. Try out this moveset
Fake Out
Ice Punch
Night Slash
Ice Shard

Fake out gives you priority on your first turn in. Ice punch and night slash are good STAB coverage and Ice Shard is there for reliable priority.

Ferrothorn isn't looking too pretty either. The EV's are fine. Clearly you want this to be a specially Defensive wall. But why would you run specially defensive Ferrothorn with a blissey on your team?! Make that physically defensive 252 HP/252Def/4 Atk with relaxed nature. Big Root isn't a competitive item switch it out for Rocky Helmet. That way your opponents pokemon takes big damage when they damage you with a physical hit.
Ingrain isn't a good move it means that when the opponent brings in a fire type you won't be able to switch. Giga drain is no good with such a poor SpA stat. Self-Destruct is just normally a bad move. Make your moveset

Stealth Rock
Leech Seed
Gyro Ball
Protect

This is the standard Ferrothron set.

Jolteon is looking good but I recommend life orb or choice specs. But air balloon works fine :D
EV's are looking fantastic. The nature has to be timid. Speed is everything. If you give it a modest nature you get outsped by Alakazam, Noivern, Greninja. (just naming some off the top of my head)
So make sure you go timid.

Now the moves Thunder Wave isn't very good on Jolteon so I recommend Hidden Power Ice to get the classic BoltBeam Combo. Volt Switch and Thunderbolt are great. What I don't think you realize about roar is that it has decreased priority so no matter how fast you are that move will always go last. Based on that, it means whenever you go for roar Jolteon is taking a hit, and because it isn't very bulky it's definitely not worth it. I would recommend shadow ball or something else.

We're gonna make Blissey your special wall. 252 HP/252 SpD/ 4 Def. Watch out almost any physical hit will destroy you. Nature should be calm (+SpD, -Atk) never run a serene grace blissey try natural cure that way you have a status absorber your moves look pretty fine
Softboiled
Protect
Toxic
Seismic toss

This is a standard blissey set!

Good team overall just some specific stuff you will get to know over time. I hope I was some help. Other than that good luck with your future endeavors!
