Hey everyone! I'm new to smogon but I've been lurking around the shadows for awhile now. :p Anyway, I decided I'd try my luck at competitive battling again, and after over a year of staying out of it, I had to make a new team. This team is still untested and I'm just wondering if there's any way to improve it (I'm sure there are plenty. :p). Don't mindlessly flame me if anything is wrong, but I do appreciate any constructive criticism that anyone has to give me.

I’ve had the urge to try out an old favorite pokemon of mine, Clefable. So I designed a build for this pokemon, a stalling and wishing moveset, and set to work.
Next, I figured I’d need a physical sponge. I would also need a spiker, spinner, and suicide bomber depending on the situation. And so, I chose on Forretress.
I then decided that I needed a tank, one that could take hits like a boss, and one that could tear down any enemy defenses. I figured a cursing Tyranitar might work well.
Next was to begin the offensive. With Salamence gone, I would have to choose some different pokemon than the basics that I usually use. Another pokemon I’ve been itching to use is Zapdos. With great defenses, decent speed and awesome Special Attack, it was a great candidate for one of my attackers.
Now I had my team with some bulky defenses and offenses, I would need to patch up any glaring weaknesses. The only weaknesses without atleast 2 switch-ins were Fighting, Ice, Grass, Fire, and Water. Metagross is an obvious candidate for the first 3 resistances, and he’s a great lead. However, he put up another glaring fire weakness (resisted by Tyranitar and is walled specially by Clefable)
With the addition of Metagross, however, it introduced my team to another Fire weakness and no water defenses. I decided that a Dragon pokemon could cover these weaknesses, and I realized that Kingdra could do this even more so. Double resistant to both Water and Fire, it would be the perfect switch in to almost anything that packs both those moves (seeing as the 2 most common OU Dragons are out, and they were the main threats to Kingdra, Kingdra is now a much more viable option for my team.
As per suggestion by Darkamber8828, I decided to swap out Zapdos for Gliscor and Clefable for WishBliss. He also suggested to not use AgiliGross as a lead, but ATM I'm working on a different lead or just a different Metagross.
THE MOVESETS
THE LEAD - METAGROSS
Extractor @ Life Orb
Adamant (+Attack, - Special Attack)
112 HP/252 Atk /12 Def/132 Spe
-Stealth Rock
-Iron Head
-Earthquake
-Thunder Punch
Metagross has a nice amount of bulk to him, and he'll be able to get SR up and then do some damage to the opposition afterwards. I put Iron Head in place of Meteor Mash after MM failed me a couple battles in a row.
THE TANK - TYRANITAR
Bradley @ Lum Berry
Careful (+SpD,-SpA)
252 HP/40 Def/216 SpD
-Curse
-Payback
-Stone Edge
-Rest
Tyranitar is an old favorite of mine, and I’ve been using him ever since I started battling competitively. Curse is a great attack with him, and if I can get him in the game right, then he’ll be tough to stop. Lum Berry and Rest let’s him get back to full health after tanking out a few turns of Cursing. Payback is a given because he’ll be so brutally slow after a couple turns of cursing that Payback will always have 150 base power. Stone Edge is another great STAB attack, and it’ll rip through a lot of threats. Also, before you comment on his name, it’s from an actual tank called an M3A3 Bradley. :p
THE SPECIAL SPONGE - BLISSEY
Medic! @ Leftovers
Bold (+Def,-Atk)
Natural Cure
252 HP/252 Def/4 Spe
-Wish
-Protect
-Seismic Toss
-Toxic
Wish Clefable is very outdone by WishBliss in OU, so I replaced Clefable with Blissey. Wish and Protect are for healing and scouting respectively, Seismic Toss is for doing damage, and Toxic is for stalling out and crippling enemies. Toxic, then repeating between Wish and Protect will definitely stall out my enemies.
THE PHYSICAL SPONGE - FORETRESS
Hiroshima @ Leftovers
Relaxed(+Def,-Spe)
252 HP/112 Atk/144 Def
-Spikes
-Rapid Spin
-Gyro Ball
-Explosion
Forretress provides the physical support for my team, and he is the spikes & spin support for my team. Gyro Ball is his standard attack, with STAB bonus, plus a lot of attack points for him being so slow. Explosion is if he’s on his last limb, or if he no longer serves a purpose in the battle.
THE MIXED OFFENSE - KINGDRA
Roku @ Life Orb
Brave(+Atk,-Spe)
252 Atk/24 SpA/232 Spe
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Outrage
-Draco Meteor
Kingdra is a nice sweeper, capable of doing some serious damage if he gets set up right. And with his wide range of resistances, it’s easy to switch him in, and DD on a switch. Then begins the sweeping. Waterfall and Outrage let him keep his 2 physical STAB attacks, and Draco Meteor nails enemy pokes with bulkier physical defenses.
THE STALLBREAKER - GLISCOR
The Devil @ Leftovers
Jolly(+Spe,-SpA)
252 HP/40 Atk/216 Spe
-Taunt
-Earthquake
-Roost
-Toxic
Gliscor was a suggestion by Darkamber8828 of Smogon. With Blissey in place of Clefable, Zapdos was no longer necessary, and Gliscor is a great pokemon to stop stall teams in their tracks. Taunt and Toxic cripple any stalling pokes, Roost is self explanitory, and EQ is a nice STAB attack to deliver some damage while he’s taking hits.

That whole RMT came out to almost 900 words in iWork Pages.. :p Anyway, please give me some constructive criticism, I only want to get better. :D
