My First RMT for wifi

here it is. i like to have my team structure as lead attacker supporter. im not doing to well on wifi. alot of misprediction and just plain getting outclassed. i need help with this team.

478.png

Magnus (Mamoswine) (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 SpDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk,-SpAtk)
- Earthquake
- Endeavor
- Ice Shard
- Stealth Rock
i love this guy. and he is always my lead. he can sweep with one hp :) and he can do well in SS or hail. endeavor and Ishard is a great combo and he is faster than what most ppl would imagine.
---
471.png

Electivire (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk,-SpAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Meditate
- ThunderPunch
this team started with him. he is my favorite pokemon and i wanted to finally use him. i was thinking about taking out meditate bcuz he doesnt get to use it that often. a fighting move would be good i was thinkin brick break? but when he comes in on an elec attack he is pretty beastly
---
472.png

Magmortar (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 40 Def/216 Spd/252 SpAtk
Modest Nature (+SpAtk,-Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power (Grass)
- Thunderbolt
this is electivires younger brother literlly i bred them to have the same father. well he usually comes in ona KO and blast monsters around with his huge sp atk+specs. i dont use him to often bcuz he usually gets KOed or the move its stuck on isnt a good matchup for the next pkmn. i dont wanna have to break up the fam but i might have to
---
398.png

Empoleon (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 12 HP/4 Def/240 Spd/252 SpAtk
Modest Nature (+SpAtk,-Atk)
- Aqua Jet
- Grass Knot
- Blizzard
- Hydro Pump
this is my replacement for dusknoir. i needed a good water type to aborb attaks for most of my team and hit hard so this guy came up. he survives by checking hiself with this moveset except elec type attacks
---
197.png

Umbreon (F) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP/128 Def/128 SpDef
Impish Nature (+Def,-SpAtk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Payback
- Heal Bell
wish and HB+synchro are amazing together she can takes hits and pass on some health to the one in need. but even with 0 ivs it can still out speed some monsters making payback colse to useless
---
334.png

Altaria (F) @ No Item
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/40 Def/216 SpDef
Calm Nature (+SpDef,-Atk)
- Roost
- Perish Song
- Heal Bell
- DragonBreath
she is my secret weapon. she can survive like crazy aginst a barage of attacks and stall and phaze almost anyone out of play. i find that she has the best synergy with mamo and vire
---

Okay. first off, you have 3 pokemon weak to Ground and Fighting, and with a metagame with Landorus and Conkeldurr running, around, this is simply a no with only one resistor. Firstly, I'd replace Altaria with Bulky DD Dragonite. Altaria is simply dead weight, with Dragonite being much more bulky AND it can actually hit for damage. He also shares the same typing as Altaria, providing the same Ground and Fighting resistances.

Secondly, I would replace Umbreon with Pride's Celebi w/ Heal Bell as seen below:

celebi_sprite.png

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 200 HP / 92 Sp Atk / 216 Spe
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)

- Heal Bell
- Leaf Storm
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn

Celebi provides another resistance to Fighting and Ground, while still giving Heal Bell support. This also means you can replace Stealth Rock on Mamoswine for another attacking option such as Superpower. Umbreon will not function well in today's metagame, with a Fighting weakness and no offensive moves to back it up.

Thirdly, I'd replace Electivire with Scarf Rotom-W. Scarftom will really support your team as a scouter with Volt Switch, and it also is immune to Ground. If you're uncomfortable with Scarf pokemon, you can use standard washtom too. Electivire is too slow to really sweep in today's metagame, or even get a hit off. Scarftom does this for you, putting you one step ahead with Volt Switch or doing good damage to anything that doesn't resist with Hydro Pump.

Fourthly, I'd replace Magmortar with Specstran. Spectran hits a lot harder than Magmortar, and Specs Overheat is going to 2HKO pretty much everything except for Latias, Chansey, properly EV'd bulk waters, and Blissey. Blissey iirc. Also, Heatran provides Steel type resistances you'll need, like Ghost, Dark, and Psychic.

Finally, I'd replace Empoleon with Jirachi, with a moveset of Wish/Protect/Iron Head/Body Slam. Your team will really appreciate the Paralysis support, and Iron Head + Parahax, is actually really good as a late game sweeper.

Wow, I really mixed up your team :D Hope this helped, and good luck!

hey this is wat i posted it for :) im kinda new to competative battling but i know wat almost everything is and how it works i just needed some help to make this team great
and thank you so much i will add these mebers in and see how it fares.

Altaria is practically un-viable in OU, since Chansey or Latias can fill her role better in almost any situation. I would suggest bulky Latias, since she can help (But not completly solve) your enormous weakness to Terrakion, who can 6-0 the team the way it is now. She can also phaze and heal just like Altaria, and you get the bonus of stat boosting with Calm Mind.

Latias @ Leftovers
252 Hp/252 Def/4 Spe
Bold
-Calm Mind
-Roost
-Roar
-Dragon Pulse

You may want to consider using Gastrodon over Empoleon. You give up a little offense for a much bulkier pokemon that isn't weak to ground. It could also then absorb water attacks aimed at Magmortar and Mamoswine. Just a little something to consider.

Instead of Electivire, run scarf Rotom-W. Volt switch would great help you rack up SR damage, along with Pride's Celebi's U-turn. Since that celebi has SR, run a band mamoswine. Earthquake, Ice Shard, Superpower, and Icicle Crash / Rock Slide. It 1hko's Tyranitar, Heatran, Dragonite, Haxorus, Ferrothorn, and Chansey, if you use the appropriate moves. Icicle Crash 2hko's Skarmory after SR damage, if you run an adament nature. Instead of Magmortar, use Life Orb Infernape. Naive Nature, with 252 speed, 176 attack, and 82 special attack. Close Combat, Fire Blast, Hidden Power (ice), and U-turn. U-turn again is used against pokemon that you have the advantage against, racking up more SR damage, as 99% of the time your opponent will switch pokemon if he/she has the disadvantage. Instead of Empoleon, use Skarmory. Impish, with Spikes, Roost, Whirlwind, and Brave Bird. 252 Hp, 176 Def, and 82 attack. Umbreon and Altaria are really outclassed this generation. Instead Altaria, use the classic Dragonite. 248 HP, 252 special defense, and 12 speed. A careful nature with dragon tail, thunder wave, roost, and substitute, with the item leftovers. Instead of Umbreon, use Tyranitar. A sassy nature, with 252 hp, 176 special defense, and 82 special attack. Leftovers as the item with fire blast, payback, rest, and sleep talk for the moves.

Umbreon is pretty much useless in OU sadly. Chansey can fill her role much better and can run a status move to cripple Physical attackers. (something your team is VERY weak to.) Or if you really want to use an Eeveeloution, try Umbreon's better half Espeon. With Magic Bounce plus a dual screen set, it could be very useful.

Hmm okay I see Wat u all r saying and ur right they terrakion can and has swept this team before ( the one reason I wanted to Change it) so thanks for all ur suggestions I will do some serious testing for the next few days :)

Nice team, but you have huge weaknesses to ground and fighting. More than half you team except altaria dies to earthquakes and close combats. I suggest you try gliscor which resists both these types over either electivire/magmortar/umbreon.

Hmmm I've never thought gliscor would be a good match until u brought up that point. I knew ground was a real problem but fighting? I was pretty clueless lol. I'll try gliscor on the team but I'll check all the weaknesses this time hehehe :)

alright after seeing the responses i recieved (thank you to everyone who gave there input) ive come up with this new team. in theory it seems great and ive tested it a few times on pokemon online. but to be honest thats pretty fast paced considering i play random match up wifi in-game lol but anyways here is the updated team. i made one for pokemon online and one for in-game random match up. the only reason i have two different teams is bcuz i have some banned pknm for random MU and why im posting this team is bcuz i mostly use RMU
478.png

Mamoswine (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Endeavor
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
i decided to stick with the endeavor set because i like it so much :) no much change there.

503.png

Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Trick
after thinking for a while this guy seemed like a good replacement for my partner pokemon electivire :'( i still miss him. but the combonation of water and elec has been amazing. i like the option of trick to volt switch out of there. i was thinking about using fire instead of ice hidden power. idk tho ive seen more times when i could use fire instead of ice but experience has taught me that ice would be a better choice.
490.png

Heatran (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Pulse
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Grass]
this set is pretty straight forward: use wat i need and try and get out of there if something comes up lol. and to the person who wuggested him thank you he is definitly a better fire type than magmortar :) lets see he can hit pretty hard with this set and has a good typing coverage.
477.png

Gliscor (M) @ Flight Gem
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake
- Substitute
honestly i havent had the time to test this set yet. and i know wat your guna say. poison heal is a much better set for gliscor. i know but this is my random match up team and getting its dream world ability would take more time than i would like. so i went with this set. the concept is pretty simple try nd switch in on an earthquake or elec attack and set up with swords dance or substitue then SD. then sweep with or without the flight gem and EQ.

113.png

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Heal Bell
- Softboiled
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss
need i say more? its chansey! come on lol but anyways i was thinking about replacing heal bell with wish. its massive hp should be enough for anyone to be at full health >:) softB to wait out the toxic and seismic toss to help it along mwhahaha but now that i think about it i think i will but wish in instead of HB

380.png

Latias (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Roost
- Roar
- Dragon Pulse
ah and this is my other wall/phazer. she can come in on almost anything and survive long enough to either roost CM or roar a potential threat out of play. again i was struggling with a move slot. i like DP bcuz of its power but i like dragonbreath bcuz of the paralyzing factor to cripple and possibly phaze.

---------
all in all i like this team alot bcuz it puts a good spin on my old team. of course i could always use more help so if anyone has something to say please dont hesitate. also i was thinking bout putting in a gengar. i cant tell you how many times fake out messed up mamos strategy :/ problem is idk who to take out. i was thinking heatran bcuz of the weakness to ground and fighting which was my main problem to begin with. and thanks to anyone who gave there input. i took all of your suggestions into concideration and this is the team i came up with that seemed like the best from everyone who offered advise

Okay here's your full rate. You now have a very solid team, with no major weaknesses to any single Poke. The raters and you have done an excellent job of improving the team. Since there are no major weakness I just want to improve your sets to squeeze the full potential out of them. Seriously you probably shouldn't switch any Pokes since this will most likely open up big hole in your defensive. Also DO NOT replace Heatran with Gengar, Heatran's role is one of the most vital, and Gengar doesn't have much to add to the team that it doesn't already have.

Mamoswine: His set is just about as good as he will get, but the Focus Sash should be replaced for an item like Life Orb or Leftovers. Since Stealth Rocks are run on almost every threatening team in the OU meta game, Focus Sash is close to useless. Leftovers could give a nice recovery, and Life Orb could bring up the offensive intensity, helping to KO threats like Dragonite and Landorus on the revenge kill. Test both items to see what works for you. Although DON'T switch the item if you want to stick with using the lead Endeavor set, since it is the only time when the Focus Sash is actually useful. If you do end up switching the item, replace Endeavor with a coverage move.

Rotom-W: This set is also about as good as it will get, although try testing out Modest nature instead of Timid, since with Choice Scarf and max speed EVs, Rotom-W is already able to out speed everything it is meant to counter. With now stronger offense, Rotom-W can put even larger dents when Volt Switching and OHKO Scizor with Hydro Pump in Rain. As for the move set, I think it is perfect for what you're using him for.

Heatran: Since Heatran will mainly be supporting your team with type coverage, Expert or Choice Scarf might be much better options as a held item goes. Choice Specs isn't needed since Fire Blast OHKOs everything he needs to counter without Choice Specs anyway. Also Fire Blast should be replaced with Flamethrower since when Heatran needs to go in and OHKO Scizor, he can't risk the miss. If you need the speed go with Choice Scarf, and if you need the power go with Expert Belt.

Gliscor: You need to be running the Poison Heal set, since without it Gliscor has no reliable form of recovery. Also test out Protect in place of Substitute, since it is a nice scouting move, and allows you to restore a large amount of Hp with Poison Heal.

Chansey: Perfect set, just go ahead and test Wish in place of Softboiled since your team could use the recovery and Heal Bell seems pretty important for Pokes like Latias so probably don't replace that.

Latias: I was the one who suggested this set, seems like it's going good for you.

Well, please test all of the suggestions and make the changes that do work out. Good Luck Dexs Kid

Okay sorry it took so long for me to reply i was doing alot of testing. well i do alot of in-game battling so i tested this team on wifi and at the battle institute and subway. and im proud to say that on wifi battle i finally got to win 50 battles with this team :) i really like this team thank you to everyone who helped make this team incredible. and to Dragone especially thank you for all your help and the Latias (i named it after you bcuz its the best wall ive ever had). but i digress so here is the team

478.png

Magnus (Mamoswine) (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Endeavor
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
i decided to stick with the endevor set bcuz i just cant imagine my team without Magnus starting it off. and before you say anything i did try the other set with all attacks and a life orb but that didnt work well for me so i stuck with this set and it hasnt failed me yet. if your wondering why there are only two of my pknm have nicknames its bcuz i feel like they should earn there names lol i know its dumb but thats the way i roll hahaha

503.png

Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Trick
now this guy is described in one word: Awsum! since i changed its nature from timid to modest its been a beast on wifi. what i like about this set is the three basic type attacks good for nearly all coverage. i also like the option of either switching out or trick someone out of there item. or i also have the option of sweeping with a stab hyroP. and with so many ppl using a rain team these days it comes in handy alot.

490.png

Heatran (M) @ Black Belt
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Dragon Pulse
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Grass]
Again thank you Dragone for suggesting that i use the black belt its been sweeping very well since. i think its the ability to use different types of attack that makes him a deadly threat. also with mamo starting i can switch into heatran when i can predict a fake out, bullet punch, or fire type attck then come back at them hard. also i switched out fire blast for flamethrower. i like the accuracy over the power.

477.png

Gliscor (M) @ Flight Gem
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 SDef / 72 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake
- Protect
wow what can i say about gliscor. he is great. i love him but it took me awhile to come up with a set that works. i went with this more defensive set over attack bcuz it was getting KOed to easily without the extra HP. i also gave him an attack set instead of an stall set bcuz it wasnt doing anything with a stall set and i just wasnt feeling that it was good for this team. i didnt feel that i needed to put any EVs into attck bcuz i can usually scout an attack with protect and if i dont get poisoned from toxic orb then ppl usually think this i doesnt have the ability poison heal so they use toxic sometimes while i set up with a SwordsD then proceed to sweep while restoring any lost health. its a great set and is incredible for this team.

113.png

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Heal Bell
- Wish
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss
for this nurse let me just say: you dont realize what you have until you dont have it. i didnt really like it on the team at first so i replaced her with a LickiLicky. it was good but chansey was just better. i went with wish instead of softboiled simply bcuz my team needed it. she can survive alot of attacks and wish either her or a teamates health back. or she can stall out a poisoning and hit back with seismic toss.

380.png

Dragone (Latias) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Roar
- Calm Mind
- DragonBreath
- Roost
ah and now we come to the princess of the team. i cannot thank you enough Dragone for this gurl. simply amazing! alot of times she is an even better wall than chansey bcuz she can stall and hit extremely hard and the possibility of a parahax makes stalling while i set up with a few CMs extemely easy. she will always have a place on my team.

this team is incredible. i cannot thank everyone enough for helping me make this team. its way better than the team i sarted off with but it is far from perfect. i know alot of it is me bcuz of my inexperience with competative battling but i can only get better with practice. if anyone has any suggestions on how to make this team better i am always open to any ideas and will test them before i make them a part of the team. also bcuz i dont really use pokemon online that much i use random match-up on wifi. this is the team format i use: Lead which is Magnus, Attacker which is either Rotom, Heatran, or Gliscor, and supporter which is either chansey or Latias. so for the way i battle this team gives me alot of options. again thank you everyone and especially Dragone for the anaylsis :)

My my, this team has turned out really well since you first posted it. A very solid team overall; you also appear to have great success with it, too. Keep it up! And nice rates, everyone! :D

yes i am having good succes with this team and i couldnt be happier with it :) the evolution of this team has been incredible although i still miss the old members lol but as long as i continue to practice battle (and hopefully get into battle 101) i think this team could be a threat. but if anyone can give me a good three team combo for random match up on wifi and the battle subway i would relly appreciate it. so far my combo are: mamo, washtom, latias. mamo, heatran, latias. and finally mamo, scor, and chansey. i picked these combo bcuz of move coverage and type resistance. but i am still a novice so i could us some experienced help lol thanx to all again
