THIS IS FOR STANDARD, NOT SUSPECT ANYMORE
Weavile, Gyarados, Salamence, Jirachi, Gengar, and Dugtrio.
I've made some big changes, swapping aerodactyl for Weavile, Starmie to Gengar, and Mamoswine for Dugtrio. With Garchomp gone, this team can do some nice stuff in standard, not just suspect ladder.
Now to start:
Weavile @ Focus Sash/Lum Berry/Expert Belt
4 hp/252 Atck/252 Spd
Pressure
Jolly
-Night Slash
-Fake Out
-Ice Shard
-Brick Break
My anti-lead to deal with a lot of the popular leads. Can't do much to bronzong except fake out and switch, but honestly, even the taunt/counter one can fail very easily. I ran Jolly so that I could outspeed most pokemon, with ice shard to outspeed any base 130's as well. I use fake out+ice shard to kill yanmega, ninjask, salamence, dugtrio, as well as lot of other pokemon. Night Slash for some STAB goodness that owns gengar and azelf. Break break for T-tar and other pokemon weak to it.
The main issue here is what item to hold: Expert belt guarantees I kill Salamence when I get intimidated, and adds some much needed pop against defensive celebis, and other pokes from aerodactyl to crobat. Focus sash helps against random choice scarfed pokemon (most notably gengar), and also other focus sash pokemon (gengar comes to mind again). Lum Berry is useful for those pokes who want to try to sleep me (sash, scarf gengar, come to mind again).
Gyarados@Life Orb
72 hp/252 atk/184 Spd
Intimidate
Adamant
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
Standard Gyarados that can get a lot of sweeps in. Dragon Dance on something that has been taunted to uselessness, and proceed to sweep. Sometimes I just straight out attack to see what they bring out and damage it. Waterfall for awesome STAB and the ability to flinch. The Stong Edge vs. Ice fang is a tough decision for me. Stone edge kicks other Gyarados' butt, and can get a 1hko on starmie with rocks and DD if she tries to revenge. Also wrecks Salamence and Dragonite. Ice fang is more reliable for that, but also happens to hurt Celebi who can otherwise wall Gyarados. I've now chosen stone edge, since it hurts so many things (just a bit more unreliably) and earthquake/stone edge is great coverage, and Celebi is now easily dealt with with Jirachi.
Salamence@ Life Orb
120 Atk/136 SpA/252 Spd
Mild
Adamant
-Draco Meteor
-Brick Break
-Crunch
-Fire Blast
I changed Salamence from a Choice Banded version to a Life Orbed Mixmence. With so many Scarftrans running rampant trying to kill my Jirachi, I found it more helpful to not be able to immediately threaten any Heatran immediately, but to also be able to hurt whatever comes in. I chose mild so that he can switch into Heatrans and take a little less damage from those STAB fire attacks. I preferred to keep his speed higher, because with Stealth Rocks and Salamence usually not needing to come so early in the game, enemy pokemon are already weakened, thus not needing the extra punch. This being a more offensive team, I decided to opt for Crunch over Roost to deal with Cresselia and Dusknoir.
Jirachi@Leftovers
80 hp/252 SpA/176 Spd
Serene Grace
Timid
-Calm Mind
-Hidden Power Bug
-Psychic
-Thunder
Offensive CM Jirachi. A great sweeper against an unprepared team. A great compliment to Salamence, as they resist each others weaknesses. CM on switches or against anything it resists (which is a lot), and then proceed to sweep. Hidden Power bug destroys Celebi (my new favorite setup fodder, besides Bronzong), which gives me more room with my other pokes to deal with it. It also 2hkos Cress. Big ground pokemon often switch in, and even unboosted psychics can do a lot of pain. I've considered using grass knot over thunderbolt to deal with those grounds even more (grass knot is debated a lot from the thread this set is from), but for now, I like the coverage that all this gives. STAB psychic for soem big pop and the special defense fall lets it take blissey out as well. Thunder to take advantage of Serene Grace (though the accuracy disappoints a lot). EVed to outspeed non nature+ salamences and with a lot of SpA EVs to hurt blisseys as the special drops come.
Gengar @ Black Sludge
4 hp/252 SpA/252 Spd
Levitate
Timid
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-Hypnosis
-Substitute
Ah, one of the best new gengar's around. Switch it in on something that should be scared, substitute on the switch, and wreak havoc. Hypnosis anything that's tough to kill (notably blissey, whom you can then focus blast for the kill), and use STAB Shadow Ball and Focus Blast for some immense coverage and power. Really can drive teams crazy. Substitute turns the poor accuracy of hypnosis and focus blast into something that doesn't matters (unless the other guy gets lucky with early wake ups) and protects from paralysis and other status to cripple Gengar. Timid to outspeed modest gengars and other pokes. EV's for max power and speed. I chose black sludge rather than expert belt or wide lenses because its important against sandstorm teams and for being able to recover a bit more often. Thinking about petaya berry as well though.
Dugtrio @ Choice Band
252 Atk/4 SpD/252 Spd
Arena Trap
Jolly
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Aerial Ace
-sucker punch
The infamous Dugtrio and its ability to trap and kill helpless pokemon. Choice Band for as much power as possible and Jolly for the speed required to outrun timid 115's like Starmie. The list of pokemon that Dugtrio can just trap and kill is absolutely huge. Earthquake for STAB and for a lot of the fire pokemon that can kill Jirachi (and T-Tar), Stone Edge for fliers like Salamence, Gyara, Aerial Ace for Heracross, and sucker punch for gengar, deoxys, etc. The lack of move choice severely hurts Dugtrio, especially when Heracross and T-Tar are on the same team and can pursuit poor duggy as he switches. He also gives free set-ups, which is a pain. Unfortunately, I feel that without CB, expert belt and life orb just don't cut it for the revenge kills he needs to make.
------------------------------------------
I'll finish the threatdown later.
Threatlist:
Aerodactyl-Weavile can fake out, ice shard for heavy damage, and intimidate from Gyarados, Salamence hurt it too. Almost exclusively a suicide lead, so weavile usually takes it out.
Azelf-Fake out+night slash from weavile. Duggy can also take out with night slash.
Blissey-Most of my pokes all have something kill it with.
Breloom-Almost no problems unless duggy has to switch out. Either way, salamence and gyarados with intimidate can put a lot of pain on the thing
Bronzong-Bronzong can't do much to jirachi or gyarados or salamence, who can all hit it fairly hard
Celebi-Defensive ones are a pain. Night slash doesn't do too much. Mainly have to use jirachi hidden power bug, salamence's fire blast but paralysis cripples them
Cresselia-can't do much to jirachi, and depending on its moveset, I can use nightslashes, crunches, shadowballs, etc.
Deoxys-s-Jirachi walls very well, fake out+ice shard hurts it pretty bad, gengar under a sub can hurt too. Dugtrio can sucker punch.
Donphan-Doesn't really cause much trouble except for ice sharding salamence. Gyarados is a fine counter.
Dragonite-fake+ice shard hurts him bad, draco meteors, stone edges, all hurt too
Dugtrio-fake out+ice shard is great. if its not CBed, may not 1hko jirachi and a boosted psychic kills
Dusknoir-shadow balls, crunches, nightslashes, etc.
Electivire-Dugtrio completely owns. only thing with an electric attack is jirachi and a 1hko isn't guaranteed from earthquake
Forretress-fire blast destroys it, can also hurt with powerful neutral hits
Gengar-duggy and weavile tear apart non-scarfed, scarfed ones are just set-up fodder for jirachi
Gliscor-gyarados is excellant, 2+ CM's means psychic kills it, ice shard hurts
Gyarados-My own gyara, salamence are great even if it gets a DD (depending on whether it has ice fang or stone edge). Duggy can stone edge if things get out of hand, gengar can hypnosis
Heatran-gyarados, salamence+jirachi cover weaknesses. No scarf means that dugtrio owns it.
Heracross-Fire blasts, psychics, shadow balls, aerial ace. even ice shard can hurt it pretty hard.
Hippowdon-gyarados is excellant
Infernape-dugtrio completely destroys. gyarados is often my first pick to use though
Jirachi-Dugtrio can tear it apart unless it is defensively oriented. salamence also packs fire blast
Lucario-Gyarados and salamence both hurt it bad. Jirachi too. Gengar if it doesn't have bullet punch.
Machamp-Tough to handle. Gyarados can 2hko it if it doesn't pack stone edge. Draco meteor kills, as does psychic
Magnezone-brick break, earthquake, fire blast, focus blast, etc. Jirachi can continue to set up against magnezone as thunderbolt does less and less, and then finally blow it with psychic
Metagross-gyarados, duggy, and salamence are excellant, depeni
Porygon-Z-It's usually scarfed, so after switching to something else to take the hit (jirachi is a great choice), I can then setup, or if its stuck on t-bolt, trap and kill with duggy
Rhyperior-Tricky one. Usually have to handle it very carefully. Generally, Gyarados with intimidate and quad effective waterfall works the best
Salamence-Definitely scary. Weavile can ice shard well, Gyara can stone edge and my own sala can draco meteor. Jirachi's psychic doesn't fare too badly either. Gengar can hurt it bad if its weakened, and duggy can stone edge. Never know what kind it is though
Skarmory-salamence fireblast is deadly, jirachi can thunder.
Slowbro-crunch, nightslash, thunder, shadowball all hurt
Starmie-duggy can trap and kill, weavile hurts bad, as does jirachi
Suicune-jirachi is my best bet. can always sleep with gengar
Swampert-Gyarados is my best, though draco meteor hurts it hard
Tangrowth-fire blast, hidden power bug
Togekiss-Thunder, stone edge, even ice shard all hurt
Tyranitar-gyarados, salamence, weavile, duggy
Vaporeon-jirachi
Weavile-gyarados, jirachi, gengar if it has sub
Yanmega-fake out and ice shard for the kill. otherwise gyara, salamence can handle
Zapdos-stone edges, ice shards. lot of options but defensive stall ones are a pain.
