My first stall team (OU)

I've started formulating my first stall team, and this is what I have come up with.

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sandstream
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD
Nature: Impish
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Earthquake
- Slack Off

My idea with hippowdon is to get stealth rock out as soon as possible, and then start to deal some damage/roar the enemy. I have noticed that I find roaring through a whole team is a lot of fun, and so I have tried to make a lot of phazerish pokemon for my team.

Skarmory @ Shed Shell
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Atk / 176 Def / 16 Spe
Nature: Impish
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Spikes
- Whirlwind

A pretty standard Skarmory, but the spikes/whirlwind are important to my team.

Tentacruel @ Leftovers
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpD
Nature: Calm
- Hidden Power Electric
- Surf
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic Spikes

My rapid spinner to get rid of those pesky SRs and other things. Toxic Spikes is a no brainer. The HPE is to counter gyarados and other water types that I would otherwise have issues with.

Rotom @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Nature: Bold
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Thunderbolt
- Will-O-Wisp

Rotom is my way to stop people from using rapid spin and also a counter for gyarados (I'm so afraid of that dang gyarados). Rotom seemed like a good choice to tank a couple of hits.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 128 HP / 252 Def / 128 Spe
Nature: Calm
- Baton Pass
- Acid Armor
- Aqua Ring
- Roar

Once again, roar to cause some frustration on my opponent's team. Baton Pass + Acid Armor + Aqua Right should help me increase another pokemon's tanking, like Skarmory or Hippowdon.

Brongzong @ Macho Brace
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 / 84 Atk / 80 Def / 92 SpD (0 speed in IVs)
Nature: Sassy
- Trick Room
- Stealth Rock/Hypnosis (I already have a stealth rock, but it might be useful to have 2 in case hippo gets KOed and my stealth rocks get rapid spinned away)
- Gyro Ball
- Explosion

Trick Room should make it so that if I get really low on HP I can quickly use explosion, at least taking one of them with me. It also lets me use Gyro Ball easily for a lot of damage. I already talked about SR/Hypnosis.

Any help is appreciated, and don't hold back. I'm new, so I understand if this build sucks.

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sandstream
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD
Nature: Impish
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Earthquake
- Slack Off

Not a terrible, lead, and sets up sandstorm nicely.

Skarmory @ Shed Shell
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Atk / 176 Def / 16 Spe
Nature: Impish
- Drill peck
- Roost
- Spikes
- Whirlwind

Drill peck > brave bird on a stall team, you will want to keep skarmory at high health, especially with shed shell.

Tentacruel @ Leftovers
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpD
Nature: Calm
- Ice beam
- Surf
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic Spikes

I would recommend Ice beam over hp electric, it hits more, even though you are screwd over by other water types, those water types cant do too much to you, while you set up toxic spikes and rapid spin. Yes, water/grounds owns you in this situation, hp electric doesnt hit swampy anyways.

Rotom-H @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Nature: Bold
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Thunderbolt
- Over heat

Ditch WoW for overheat, I did this for two reason, you have toxic spikes which will screw over will-o-wisp half the time. Overheat hits things like heracross, who will get a boost from toxic spikes, it also hits steels nicely.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 128 HP / 252 Def / 128 Spe
Nature: Calm
-Wish
-Protect
-Surf
-Ice beam

Good idea, just not going to work too well. Try a wish set, you tema could use wish support for sure. This is your second bulky water, so you may want to replace him later on, but I think this guy could really help your team.

Brongzong @ Macho Brace / light clay / leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 / 84 Atk / 80 Def / 92 SpD (0 speed in IVs)
Nature: Sassy
- Trick / light screen
- Hypnosis
- Gyro Ball
- Explosion

Use hypnosis for sure. Ill explain the item and top move. Use trick with macho brace, it will mess your opponents sweepers up badly, and you may get leftovers from the trick. Light screen otherwise, your team takes physical hits much better than special, light screen will do wonders. MAcho brace with trick only. Light clay for elongated screen support. Leftovers are standard for healing.

This team has potential, take my advice if you like.

Welcome to smogon. Before posting an RMT, please check the RMT rules to see what is expected here.

Rule 3 said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.

Feel free to post another thread if you fix up your descriptions.
