So this is my ideas for my first team, I apologize if it really sux, but please bear with me even if it is extremely predictable and bad.
1. Sceptile @ Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 56 HP, 75 Atk, 125 Def, 252 Spe
~ Leech Seed
~ Substitute
~ Leaf Blade
~ Toxic
I’ve always wanted a lead Sceptile, and so far, I have loved the leech seed + substitute+ toxic combo. Often times I can get one pkmn seeded, the next toxic’d on the switch, and then a simple leaf blades ftw. I’m also considering a special Sceptile w/ HP fire and grass knot, so tell me which you think works better.
2. Gyarados @ Life Orb
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 6 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spe
~ Dragon Dance
~ Ice Fang/Outrage (from Platinum)
~ Waterfall
~ Earthquake
All-out-attacking Gyarados, and I must say, with the Outrage move tutor possibility in Plainum, it has become even more beastly in my opinion.
3. Metagross @ Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP, 240 Atk, 18 Def
~ Meteor Mash
~ Bullet Punch
~ Earthquake
~ Explosion
Typical Gross, though at one time I considered the possibility of fitting thunder punch somewhere on his move set.
4. Dusknoir@ Leftovers
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP, 6 Atk, 252 Def
~ Pain Split
~ Will-o-wisp
~ Shadow Sneak
~ Thunder Punch/Fire Punch
By far my favorite new evolution from 4th gen, Dusknoir is just plain awesome. The one thing that I am not sure of is which elemental punch to put on, thunder punch takes down Gyrados and Milotic faster but fire punch go to town on more steels that resist it. The main beef I have with fire punch is that it makes Heatran so much deadlier w/ flash fire.
5. Umbreon @ Leftovers
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP, 252 SpD, 6 Spe
~ Curse
~ Toxic
~ Payback
~ Baton Pass
Typical Curse passer, most likely target would be Metagross.
6. Porygon-z @ Focus Sash
Nature: Timid
EVs: 6 HP, 252 SpA, 252 Spe
~ Nasty Plot
~ Tri Attack
~ Dark Pulse
~ HP Fighting/Ice Beam
Great Special Attacker, although I feel as though HP Fighting would be a better choice over ice beam to get rid of dark and steel types, many of which can wall porygon.
So like I said before, if my team sux, please help me improve it in any way possible. Like I said above, this is my first team, so its highly probable that it is not very strategic and is more or less a complete mess. Thanks!
