my first warstory: nyczxjay vs. Chozo [a twist of fate]

hey! so this is a warstory of a battle between me and Chozo on shoddy. i'm relatively new to battling and was surprised when Chozo came up when i did the ladder match since he's one of the top 100 battlers in shoddy. i think it was a pretty good battle so i hope you guys enjoy lolz... anyways, here we go!

Rules: Ladder Match, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause

hmmm it's a gyarados opener so i guess it's bulkydos... probably going to use dragon dance but even with a dragon dance it won't outspeed my crobat so lets...

Nightwing used Mean Look.
Gyarados was trapped!
Gyarados used Taunt.
Nightwing fell for the taunt!

hmmm smart move by Chozo... it's to be expected from one of the top 100 on shoddy... it's a lose lose situation here i need a way to take this guy down before he sets up...

ok he's probably going to use another dragon dance since blissey can't really do much to it so let's try to make it sick.

Argh!!!! i messed up again... this isn't looking good -.-" i don't have anything left that can outspeed gyarados so whatever... i choose...

oh shit another dragon dance... at this rate my whole team is going to get swept big time... maybe if he decides to go overboard on power and use another dragon dance... just maybe...

nope no such luck... it was really obvious that i was going to use thunderbolt though... honestly at this point i already gave up but i didn't want to forfeit so what the hell let's go Nightwing!!!

ouch... yea it's all over... as Nightwing is being dragged off the battlefield, wings twitching, Chozo is probably laughing his ass off thinking "this is too easy"

alright gyarados should have crazy ass speed right now... so since i'm basically screwed at this point why not just try some crazy shit so...

O.O wth? how the hell my garchomp outspeed a gyarados with 2 dragon dances under its belt? JabberJaw has choice scarf but still... i was just amazed... i guess his gyarados didn't have the 223 speed for bulky gyarados after all... not only that... how did garchomp survive the supped up waterfall? oh well time to take advantage of this chance... it's on again baby!

ok... might not have killed off gyarados but at least i forced a switch so now it'll have to set up all over again... cresselia is definitely packing ice beam so time to swtich for...

YES! paralysis didn't stop it this time... togekiss is definitely going to nasty plot one more time so time to heal JabberJaw's wounds from gyarados' rampage.

alright things are looking pretty good now... sure i'm still down by 2 but i'm not in any real danger at the moment... i hope that togekiss will do another nasty plot so that...

ugh... damnit... he saw that coming... i'll admit that it was a very predictable move on my part but a guy can hope right? now i'm in trouble... Sp00ks is gone and so is JabberJaw, leaving me with practically no offense and a powered up togekiss waiting for the kill... alright i'll go with the only offensive guy i have left, my favorite pokemon of all time and the star of my team... GO!!!!

YESS!!!! alright i know that i'm suppose to use substitute first... but i thought that if i drumed my belly and by some freak chance survive the air slash, it would activate salac berry regardless... but i guess i don't have to worry about that anymore... bellyzard is halfway complete and is already faster than togekiss... and i highly doubt it'll have extreme speed on a special set... which means that he's going to switch.

and with an incredible display of power, Kagutsuchi avenges his fallen comrades and delivers an impressive win over Chozo.

and there you go, that was our battle... there were a lot of mistakes made by me in this battle and Chozo had me backed into a corner for most of the match. overall, i want to thank Chozo for the great battle and for being a good sport and not disconnecting when i set up bellyzard because a lot of people have done it to me... Good Job Chozo! =D

  • should've used hypnosis instead of mean look in the beginning... i have no idea wth i was thinking -.-"
  • not predicting the taunts from gyarados because now that i look back on it... it was pretty obvious he was going to use taunt when i sent out CrEaM PuFF (blissey)

EDIT: Also, i highly doubt a 3-0 Bellyzard Sweep justifies a warstory, regardless of how badly your ass got handed to you in the opening turns.
 
And this is why I'm probably no longer top 100 on Shoddy =(

EDIT: Ahahahaha, I lost nearly 60 points through bad luck/shitty play (PROTIP: never play Pokemon when you're frustrated with homework, it doesn't help) and I'm still like 97.
 
Stupid mistakes in the beginning. That hax from the Slash did Chozo in -_-

Anyways, you might want to look over your war story again. You're missing some details and a turn or two.

your beginning play was so bad, Chozo didn't have to use any skill. This battle was very boring...
to sum it up: easy gyrados sweep, finally countered after pointlessly losing pokes, turn around from a 5% chance, bellyzard sweep. I could count the switches in this match on one hand.

I feel bad for Chozo
 
Heh, not the greatest battle of all time but it really shows how quickly the tide can turn. One moment all was lost, and two turns later there was a +6 Attack, + 1 Speed Blazing Charizard hiding behind a Sub.

Anyone who uses Togekiss deserves to get some bad luck, and anybody who uses Bellyzard deserves a little fortune...justice was served. :naughty:
 
This warstory shows how easily luck can turn the tide. I mean, you were going to lose, but because Air Slash missed...(5% chance), you were able to set up Charizard. However, why would you switch Blissey into Gyarados, even think about using Mean Look, and not have a counter to Gyarados(lol), but even so, this was an ok warstory.
 
Lolno. Ever faced a BellyZard player with half a brain? +1 Speed and +6 Attack plus Zard is hiding behind a Sub means it's gg unless you have a Scarfer with multi-hit moves, a fire-resist hazer, or a quick sweeper with a Sash.
 
That was... ok. Shows how the tides can turn with a single miss. Ironic that a Togekiss got haxed.

Top 100 on Shoddy, though admittedly I hang out at the bottom half of the list (best was, like, #51 for a short period).

And despite all the "lol Togekiss got haxed" posts, I could've pulled it out despite that. The obvious answer would have been to sacrifice Togekiss to break the sub and then get into a switching game with Gyarados and Heatran and take Charizard out with prediction: admittedly this is a terrible guessing game to play when the stake is your entire team, but I don't have a rock solid Bellyzard counter and I'm generally content to let the meta's utterly disdain for Charizard do my work for me.

But hey, that's what you get when you don't think. All battles are won in hindsight, right?

You won by a 5% chance of missing.
The battle teaches readers absolutely nothing other than "with enough hacks, even a clearly outmatched player and team can win." Grats.
 
Beating Togekiss by a 5% chance is better than losing to it by a 60% chance... 6 turns in a row.
 
If you're afraid of losing to a damn HaxKiss, then you must suck. Plain and simple.

Kiss hate is just retarded. I don't like it either, but you don't see me laughing my ass off about it.
 
This warstory was a waste of time. It was obviously not approved because it isnt entertaining to read. It only proves that hax can turn battles. Since the hax is this battle is totaly one sided, its dumb. Especialy since its on your side.
 
Hmm . . . ok I did some calcs and w/ blaze activated +5 ATK (intimidate) Fire Punch does 83-99% to either Salamence or non-bulky gyara (252/252 ATK-SPD). So yeah, Bellyzard is going to wallop them too. However, with full health they will survive. So in the normal case (where bellyzard doesn't get to keep his substitute) they can beat him.
