Hi, I'm Puzzle King and this is my first competitive XY OU team. It's a hyper-offence team and does have its fair share of flaws. It would be nice if you could leave suggestions and ideas on how to improve it. Thanks.
Infernape @ Focus Sash
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Mach Punch
- Thunder Punch
- Fire Punch
Infernape is my most common lead and a great coverage physical sweeper. It is great for countering some of the most common leads in the game (i.e. Ferrothorn, Forretress). I have Close Combat and Fire Punch for STAB and Mach Punch for priority. Thunder Punch is counter pokemon like Azumarill before they can set up.
Crawdaunt @ Focus Sash
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Crabhammer
- Knock Off
- Dragon Dance
Crawdaunt is one of my main sweepers. It has an amazing ability in Adaptability and has one of the most powerful knock offs in the game. It truly becomes one of the most dangerous physical pokemon in the game after one dragon dance. However, it is very frail and can easily be OHKO'd by a lot of things, which is why I gave it the focus sash.
Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 HP
Mild Nature
- Giga Drain
- Earthquake
- Sludge Bomb
- Leech Seed
Mega Venusaur is a tank. It has great defensive and special bulk, loses two of its main weaknesses and has decent special attack to utilise. Leech Seed and Giga Drain are great health recovery and Sludge Bomb is deal with those damn fairies. Earthquake is to counter MegaZard X and Heatran.
Haxorus @ Yache Berry
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 36 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Poison Jab
After some testing, I've changed out my old set of to a more offensive dragon dance set, which allows Haxorus to become a potential physical sweeper instead of a revenge killer and utility. Earthquake and Poison Jab for coverage and Dragon Claw as a good STAB (I don't want to lock myself into outrage and allow a fairy to come in and kill Haxorus)
Assault Vest, what the hell? Yes, Assault Vest on a Haxorus. Haxorus with Assault Vest gains significant special bulk. Haxorus can also outspeed most of its counters with its speed IVs and Jolly nature and OHKO them before they defeat Haxorus.
Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 68 SpA / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Defog
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Roost
Zapdos is a great special attacker. With Thunderbolt as a strong stab move and Hidden Power [Ice] for coverage, Zapdos is great for taking care of common problems on my team, like Ground and Water types. Defog is a great move to prevent my focus sashes from being broken by clearing Hazards on the field.
Kyurem-Black @ Assault Vest
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpA
Rash Nature
- Fusion Bolt
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Dragon Pulse
Kyurem-Black is my 'clean-up' pokemon. It takes care of the remainder of my opponent's team after problematic pokemon have been dealt with. It can tank hits with relative ease with its decent defence and Assault-Vest boosted Special Defence. It can hit most pokemon for at least neutral damage with its move set and can take them out with relative ease. It is also a great Dragon revenge killer because of the STAB Ice Beam being able to take out most dragons well.
Problems:
-Azumarill
-Volcarona
-Mega Mawile

Please leave your suggestions and ideas to help my improve my team. Thanks
