My OU team

This is my second OU team and it has done pretty good so far, but I feel like something is missing (hoping someone can find it).
Here it is:

A closer look:

jirachi.png

Jirachi@ choice scarf
Nature: Jolly
EV's: 78 HP, 252 ATK, 180 SPD
-iron head
-thunder punch
-trick
-U turn

Since I am using a Charizard on my team, I need to prevent stealth rock, so I started looking for an anti-lead. I was thinking about Machamp, Aerodactyl and Jirachi. Machamp was too slow, I disliked Aero's typing, but CS Jirachi had the speed, the typing, and the 60% flinch rate that I needed. Iron head is for flinch hax, thunderpunch kills Gyarados, and trick cripples walls, and U-turn is mainly when the matchup isn't in my favor. The extra Spd EVs are so I can outpace other Jirachi leads.

claydol.png

Claydol@ Iron Ball
Nature: Relaxed
EV's: 252 HP, 252 SpDef, 6 Def
-Earthquake
-Trick
-Rapid Spin
-Stealth Rock
At first I tried using Forretress, but he ended up getting killed to often. So then I went on the Serebii Moveset Calculator and found this guy. He can set up SR and rapid spin away the opponents rocks, and cripple a sweeper with trick. He also provides an electric immunity that my team semi needed.

gallade.png

Gallade@ Salac Berry
Nature: Jolly
Ev's: 252 ATK, 252 SPD, 6 DEF
-Swords Dance
-Close Combat
-Psycho Cut
-Night Slash

Gallade is my primary physical sweeper. His great SpDef lets him take special attacks with ease. He usually gets Sword Dance, barely survives which activates Salac, or the constant sandstorm Tyranitar brings usually activates Salac which lets hit a comfortable sweeping speed. Close Combat is my main attack, which surprisingly OHko's a LOT of pokemon after Swords Dance. Psycho Cut is for Pokemon who resists Close Combat, and gets STAB, and Night Slash are for Ghosts and Psychics who can easliy wall Gallade.

shaymin.png

Shaymin@ Choice Scarf
Nature: Timid
EV's: 252 SpAtk, 252 Spd, 6 SpDef
-Seed Flare
-Air Slash
-HP Ice
-Earth Power

I want to thank DahliaSky for this suggestion, becuase it has been great! Seed Flare murders all Bulky Waters, and not even Blissey can stay in for long because of the SpDef drops, and T-wave is nullified by natural cure. Air Slash is primarily for Celebi and Breloom, because I hate them that much. HP Ice is for all the Dragons in the OU, and Earth power is a reliable way of killing Magnezone and Heatran without having to use Sceptile's unreliable focus Blast.

dragonite.png

Dragonite@ Life Orb
Nature:Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 Hp
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-ExtremeSpeed
-SuperPower

I needed another Fire-Type resistant pokemon that could also pack a punch. Since I love a pokemon who Dragon Dance pretty well, I had to make a decision between Dragonite and Salamence. Mence had Initmidate, Speed, and Power. But Dragonite had ExtremeSpeed, Bulk, and Superpower. For now I am using Dragonite, until someone convinces me otherwise. With Outrage and DD, Nite tears hole in the opponents team which makes it easier for Charizard and my two scarved pokemon to clean up in the end. ExtremeSpeed to pick off weaker pokemon, and Superpower to kill tyranitar and the pink blob.

charizard.png

Charizard@ Petaya Berry
Nature: Timid
EV's: 252 SpAtk, 252 Spd, 6 Def
-Fire Blast
-HP Grass
-Dragon Pulse
-Subsitute

Charizard is on my team, mainly because of the surprise factor, and that he is my favorite pokemon. Subsitute brings me to petaya range so I can sweep. Fire Blast for general Stab and Power. HP grass to hurt water types like Swampert, and Dragon Pulse is so I can kill the Dragons.
P.S I will not subsituting Charizard for anything (moveset changes are accepted though) Changes are in red, and any other replacement would be awesome!

Gyarados is an evil prescence to this team. If TTar doesnt have a Dragon Dance, He'll be hurdle. While he's not the most damaging thing to your team, I still suggest putting HP Electric on Vaporeon.

Here are two Considerations:

1) Rapid Spinning Hazers: Blastoise and Tentacruel (Breeded)
2) Entry Hazard Setters: Cloyster (W/ Rapid Spin)/ Foretress (Spikes/Toxic Spikes/Stealth Rock)

I could use more suggestions.

Tentacruel could fit in as a spiker and a spinner.
I would suggest Hippowdon, because he can set up Stealth Rock, the best move in the game.

Tentacruel *can* work, but the problem is that Toxic spikes are alot less useful to your team, as its not about stalling. I'd recommend Forretress, Stealth Rock/Spikes/Rapid Spin/Explosion. This gives you the ability to set up your own traps, get rid of theirs, and explode if the need arises.

I'd also like to say that you're running alot fo berry sets, with no reliable way to live through it. Many attacks have a large range, so your sweeps are up to the luck of the draw. Charizard, for example, *has* to not only be faster than the bulky water, but be able to survive the hit, with any where between 1-24.99% or 51-100% life remaining (the first range to get the berry off, and the 2nd one to know you're not gunna get 2hko before the berry goes off). This is the reason Charizard is in NU, its typing forces it to have exact conditions. I'd recommend Dropping Sunny day on charizard, grab another move for coverage, or possibly roost to keep up a sweep, and get a sunny day user.

On that same note, Tyranitar - REALLY fucks over your charizard, cutting its solar beam in half, forcing it to waste a turn on set up (sunny day), and hurting it for a 6.25% each turn. You also cant always count on getting rid of stealthrocks, so your first turn out there, you're down to 43.75%.

To remedy both these problems, I'd replace TTar with Jirachi, or Celebi. Since you already have a Jirachi, we have to go with Celebi. Usually I run cleric celebi's, but you're special and need to have coverage with this guy. I'd run Sunny Day, Grass Knot, Ancient Power, Baton Pass or Toxic/Twave. Twave will be more useful, as it cripples all kinds of sweeps. Baton pass to pass +1 everything, should you get lucky.

I think this team would have alot more potential if you dropped charizard. I know you're not gunna, but I figured I should say it. These were just my thoughts on your team, if you have any questions, or anything, dont hesitate to PM me, though i'll be checking back in this thread.

if all you're using sceptile for is revenge killing, shaymin or celebi with a choice scarf seem to both be better options in my opinion. Shaymin can hit more than once with its main stab attack without the stat drop, and celebi can hit with 2 stabs instead of one. Celebi can also trick off the choice scarf and cripple a wall after its revenged a couple times.

as everyone else has said, if you have the Zard, have a spinner. Beside the fact that it's really hard to get any charizard to actually work in OU without covering the same spot as heatran without flash fire, its definately much harder if you have to deal with SR.

In fact, for typing considerations and flash fire you might consider switching to heatran anyway. Sunny day is unreliable and easily disrupted in OU, and if you run with sub and HP grass you can take out swampert, as well as get free shots at your opponent. You'll also then have a decent counter to outraging dragons and scizor.
