My OU Trick Room Team v2

Ok, so I started playing Pokemon again after about a 10 year rest. I've always been a fan of Underestimated Pokes and Underused Moves. I started playing competitively, around campus, in May. My friend told me about Trick Room and I was instantly intrigued and began testing on Shoddy. Through all of my testing I bring you this:

Bronzong: AKA MichaelBay
Brave
Levitate
Lum Berry
252 HP / 252 Attack / 4 Defense
Moveset:
Trick Room
Gyro Ball
Stealth Rock
Explosion

In my opinion Bronzong is one of the best leads, and with his garbage speed, decent attack, and access to Explosion and Trick Room he was an obvious choice. I chose Levitate over Heatproof, just for an immunity. I chose Stealth Rocks over Earthquake for Bronzong, Why? So my sweepers will have a little help. Gyro Ball hits like a truck with 0 Speed IVs and is great for countering a Taunt lead. My first turns with Bronzong depend to go like this: 1. Stealth Rock, 2. Trick Room, 3. Explosion(Depending if they Switched Out to a Poke that has a Super Effective move)/Or I simply Switch Out to a sweeper.

Rhyperior: AKA Janitor
Brave
Solid Rock
Life Orb
252 HP / 252 Attack / 4 Defense
Moveset:
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Megahorn
Swords Dance

rhyperior.png

This was an amazing choice for a Trick Room. He's slow He does have two 4x weaknesses, which are pretty fun to play around and requires some prediction. With Trick Room your Sweepers have to do more work than regular Pokes. They have to have amazing coverage and monstrous Attack. With Rhyperior you get both of those. Rhyperior also has a pretty high Base Defense so he can take his 2x weaknesses like a Champ. Earthquake for a Great STAB, Stone Edge for Great STAB and High Crit Chance, Megahorn for those annoying Grass Switch-ins. Swords Dance is there if I since a Switch-Out, +2 Attack Combined with his already insane attack is stupid, no Pokemon wants to switch in on that.

Slowbro: AKA Bertha
Relaxed
Own Tempo
Leftovers
252 HP / 252 Defense / 4 Special Attack
Moveset:
Surf
Trick Room
Grass Knot
Slack Off

All of my Trick Room'ers are pretty bulky. Slowbro has a great base Defense, decent Special Attack and of course dirt slow. I chose Surf for Neutral Damage combined with STAB. Slack Off is for Stalling. I know some of you are thinking, But Why Grass Knot? Well, like most people my team kept running into a problem, Swampert. Unless the Swampert has high Special Defense, it's usually a 3HKO.

Machamp: AKA Conina
Brave
No Guard
Life Orb
252 HP / 252 Attack / 4 Defense
Moveset:
Dynamic Punch
Fire Punch
Ice Punch
Stone Edge

I had tried many Sweepers for this spot, Machamp came out on top. Machamp Has a ridiculously large Movepool. His base Speed is kind of garbage, especially combined with a negative speed nature. I was kind of disheartened when I saw there was no Trick Room build for Machamp. So, this Build has been tested thoroughly and is completely custom. Ice Punch for Neutral Damage and to take care of some of his Weaknesses. Fire Punch for those Annoying Bug/Steels and anything else with a Fire Weakness. Dynamic Punch for just about anything that is Neutral to Everything else and for a promised confusion.

Dusknoir: AKA Jeffrey
Relaxed
Pressure
Leftovers
252 HP / 252 Defense / 4 Attack
Moveset:
Will-o-wisp
Earthquake
Trick Room
Pain Split

Like I stated before, ALL of my Trick Room'ers are Bulky, this guy is no exception. He has RIDICULOUS base defense and only 2 Weaknesses and has 2 Immunities. Will-o-wisp Cripples their Sweepers. Earthquake helps take care of Infernape and other annoying Pokes. Pain Split is another stall option.

Porygon2: AKA Space Duck
Quiet
Trace
Leftovers
252 HP / 120 Defense / 136 Special Attack
Moveset:
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Trick Room
Recover

I love this Pokemon. He has decent base Defenses, a Great Special Attack, and a Great Ability, Trace. I love swapping into Gyarados Intimidating him and then Thunderbolt'ing, is really fun. It's also great to nab other abilities. Thunderbolt for Gyarados and other Water Pokes that can be annoying. Ice Beam for Neutrality and Super Effective on some annoying Pokes (ie. Gliscor.) Recover is for stalling.

Let me know what you think and thank you for stopping by.

You forgot to post the movesets for Rhyperior, Slowbro, Dusknoir, Machamp and Porygon2.

Also, this team can't really do to anything with Taunt, especially Stallbreaking Gliscor and Taunting leads, so i suggest getting Ice Beam on Porygon2 to OHKO Gliscor while he Taunts or something.

Can't really do much, as i've never used a Trick Room team before, faced many, though.

Alright, thanks for telling me that I forgot to post the rest of their MoveSets. The problem has been remedied.

On Machamp, I dont think you should use Payback, because in Trick Room(which is meant to be on at all times i assume) it should be faster than most things, meaning it will only hit for 50 base power. Maybe Earthquake or Stone Edge instead?

Yea, I've been thinking about this myself, I would probably go with Stone Edge.

I agree with destinybond, i just noticed Payback on Machamp since the movesets weren't posted before.

Anyway, i suggest using Bulk Up and replace Life Orb with Leftovers, with Machamp's natural bulk and excellent attack it can be a deadly sweeper after one Bulk Up.

Bulk Up is a great idea. I don't know about the Leftovers though. The team truly only has two sweepers, and with Trick Room your sweepers have to the work of the usual 3 or 4.

Haha, my trick room team is almost exactly the same as this! :P It's a good setup, but I've got an idea for a different lead. He's served me very well, and he nets about 1-2 kills per match.

Chuck Norris @ Focus Sash -- Lv1

Timid, 252 Speed EVs

-- Trick Room
-- Spore
-- Endeavour
-- Dragon Rage

The set up is simple. If you think the opponent will attack, or ideally set up rocks or something equally passive (swampert is a fantastic lead to set up on), use trick room and tank the hit with your massive 12 HP and 5 Defense/Special Defense. Then, just use Spore, outspeeding absolutely everything and ensuring some annoyance. Then just spam endeavour. If he doesn't switch, his lead will be left at 1 HP and asleep; if he does switch, you've crippled one pokémon and almost killed another. Then you can just clean up with dragon rage (kills everything other than Blissey with Leftovers after an Endeavour) and endeavour any other switch-ins until Trick Room runs out. Then you can resume as normal, with your opponent's team reeling from Chuck's tour-de-force.

This set is great fun to use, and although Taunt leads nip it in the bud (you can at least Endeavour whilst they Taunt), it's so worth it just to pwn with a Lv1 pokémon. An unfortunate side-effect is that people rage-quit like crazy when this happens. :P

Oh, and btw, the Evs are there for the event of another Lv1 Smeargle lead. In this case, you can just Dragon Rage immediately for the KO.

^ I seriously would recommend a priority attack over Dragon Rage. :P

Dragon Rage is fine under Trick Room, and priority moves are easily exploitable and can thus be a waste of a moveslot. That, and as the guy above me said, it leaves me walled by leftovers. If there's a situation where trick room runs out on the turn I endeavor, I'll switch to something with a priority attack of its own, which has enough power to kill.

Trick room teams imo have to be very offensive. You should lead off with amon that knows trick room and explosion so that way you start off with a bang to lead into a heavy hitting sweeper with slow speed for four turns. Preferably the sweeper knows explosion.

From there switch in similar mons. Rinse wash repeat. As long as you don't see taunt or an abundance of ghost types it does decent.
