Hey. I’m new to this site, but not Pokemon. This is a RMT for my PBR team, so keep in mind if giving feedback that this is a 3 on 3 team. That being said, all feedback, good or bad, is welcome and appreciated. Thanks. (:
My favorite lead is definitely my Lucario. The move set is based on calling switches or predicting leads. Although, he stays in as long as at least one of his moves is at least doing regs damage. With his ability he is the best choice for lead on this team.
Lucario @ focus sash
Adamant nature
Ability: steadfast
EVs: 252 Att/ 252 Spe/ 4 HP
~Stone Edge
~Close Combat
~Agility
~Swords Dance
The idea is to start out with an agility, then depending on whether or not they switch out, a swords dance. If I manage to get both off then the opponent might as well give up because it’s going to be a sweep from there.
Another team member that will often lead is Metagross. I went with the common Agiligross theme, but to the best of my knowledge it is my own variant. With his move set and EV spread, he makes a dangerous lead, obviously.
Metagross @ leftovers
Adamant nature
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Att/ 132 Def/ 124 HP
~Agility
~Magnet Rise
~Zen Head Butt
~Thunder Punch
Always start with an agility, because he will eat almost any attack. I also enjoy having him to take an explosion. But as you are all probably aware, Metagross is a great addition to a team.
Swampert is there to curse and take hits for a while, then strike when the time is right lol. Basically his move set is your typical game-team move set, but on PBR it works like a charm.
Swampert @ leftovers
Adamant nature
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/ 132 SpD/ 124 Def
~Curse
~Waterfall
~Earthquake
~Avalanche
The only problem with this EV spread is to do any damage I have to curse, otherwise its attacks are going to no less than 3-shot with regs damage, and 2-shot with super effective moves. But if I get 2 curses off then he fairs pretty well, especially with the wide coverage his moves offer.
Here’s my wall. I love my Cresselia, because with her move set, she eats any hit like a complete champ. Really there’s nothing else to say, except she tends to not do so well when afflicted by burn or poison…but other than that she does extremely well.
Cresselia @ leftovers
Bold nature
Ability: levitate
EVs: 252 HP/ 124 Def/ 124 SpD/ 8 SpA
~Calm Mind
~Psychic
~Reflect
~Moonlight
Basically my first move depends on the pokemon I’m facing. If it is known for physical moves, then obviously reflect goes up, and calm mind for specials. If reflect is up, because of the lack of SpA I start calm minding, then psychic and moonlight when needed.
Typhlosion is by far my favorite fire starter, so I felt as if I just had to fit him on my team. So I did. With eruption and her speed she makes for a nasty revenge killer. Also, if I get a sunny day off then it’s just time for punishment. Also covers her weaknesses with the solar beam, but typically she will not stay in against bad match-ups.
Typhlosion @ charcoal
Timid nature
Ability: blaze
EVs: 252 SpA/ 252 Spe/ 4 HP
~Sunny Day
~Fire Blast
~Solar Beam
~Eruption
I used to have a Scizor, but the repetitiveness of swords dance/bullet punch got kind of boring, so I decided to go off the charts and bring on a Pinsir. I haven’t gotten the chance to use it yet, but my hopes are high, although he is likely to have some changes made with EVs and such.
Pinsir @ shell bell (likely to change)
Adamant nature
Ability: mold breaker
EVs: 252 Att/ 252 Def/ 4 Spe (also likely to change)
~Swords dance
~X-Scissor
~Stone Edge
~Earthquake
Basically he’s just backup power, but like I said I haven’t gotten to use him yet so we’ll see how he does.
Alright well that’s my team. Remember this is a PBR team, so 3v3. This team wins me most of my battles, the only problem is the ever-so-frequent Garchomp that so many people like to use on PBR, but, hey, what can you do. Well thanks for any feed back
