Why is it that in relatively more intelligent folks the need for logic is greater? After reading some stuff on a website, I got the impression that being smarter meant having a greater link to the subconscious mind. Apparently, a greater link to the subconscious mind means "
1. Increased creativity
2. Increased intuition
3. Increased memory
4. Increased focus, concentration and direction
5. Increased mental and physical productivity
6. Increased problem solving ability
7. Increased insight into a situation
Increased emotional, mental and physical control

Not exactly the most rational stuff eh? If the subconscious mind is superior, why bother thinking rationally(I think there's a relationship somewhere in between being rational and conscious)?

Edit: Source for like, half this wall of text: http://www.geniusintelligence.com/subconsciousmind.htm

There is a big IF in that, it's bolded for you. You really can't even assess a proper answer (and one isn't even required) if that if is a negative, so it's pretty mucht the same basis that things like homeopathy use to sucker in new clients.

here is a simple question; how can one prove that the subconscious mind is superior, when by definition it is hidden?

also, as an art major, i would love to know how you are planning on quantifying creativity to prove that the subconscious mind is much more creative

First question: I'm pretty sure we could access the subconscious mind. My guess for proving it is better(if it is) is looking at what it does as compared to what the conscious mind does. Not really sure on that one.

Second question: I don't know how I'd do that. I'd wager "increased creativity" is subjective.

I just find it interesting that intelligent folks rationalize very often, considering they have a greater access to the subconscious mind, and that isn't very rational.

I have big ol' problems with the OP, mostly because the source seems to try to measure things that are, for now, unmeasurable. "increased intuition" and such phrases are ones that sound appealing but are in fact so ambiguous that they rarely mean anything.
