My Team

This is my first team and i would like to point out that all my pokemon are female because i absolutely hate attract.

Mienshao (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Fake Out
- U-turn
- Drain Punch
- Hi Jump Kick

Obvious lead for easy switch ins and damage to focus sash/sturdy users. hi jump kick for massive attack and drain punch to avoid the risk of crashing with some health boost.

Infernape (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- ThunderPunch

I started with garchomp, but decided it might be uber so i should get used to not having him. This man is a beast revenge killer. flare blitz and close combat for strong stab damage with earthquake for other fires and electric types. thunderpunch is subject to change and i only use it when i predict a switch into waters like gyrados.

Gengar (F) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt

Gengar is my special sweeper with shadow ball as my obvious stab. HP ice because i do not have any dragon types on my team. psychic if for free switches into a fighting move and then a super effective hit. t bolt is again for coverage of waters and flying.

Ferrothorn (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Power Whip
- Thunder Wave

Obvious hazards with sr and spikes, t wave to cripple obvious checks and power whip for swamperts and stab.

Vaporeon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 224 Def / 4 SAtk / 28 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Wish
- Protect
- Roar

vaporeon is the only healer on my team and a duel wall. scald for stab water with a chance to burn. protect to stall out burned or poisoned foes and get a wish in. roar to take out boosting foes while staking hazard damage from ferrothorn.

Gliscor (F) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Acrobatics
- Fling
- Protect

poison heal is great. gliscor is not very bulky but his immunity to ground makes it easly to switch in on ground pokemon trying to take out my infernape. protect for first turn to assure they dont get a t wave or WoW and stop my poison heal. fling to inflict damage, poison, and double the power of acrobatics. EQ for stab coverage.


i was thinking about switching t wave on ferrothorn for toxic, as it would help vaporeon stall out end game, but i am not sure. also the nature on mienshao because there are some un scarfed leads the i dont out speed, but im not sure if it would help or not.

Without a boosting move of some kind on Gliscor, running a defensive spread is better. 252 HP 72 Spe 180 Def +def -spa nature. 72 outspeeds something.
 
for ferrothorn, use max hp with max spdef with the rest into def. it works much better than it would with 128 evs for both defenses. also for infernape if u r running choice scarf, use an adamant nature bcoz a 115 base spd monkey with a choice scarf is something that is hard to outspeed even without jolly.
 
I'd swap Thunderpunch for U Turn on Infernape. A STAB Close Combat has more power than an SE Thunderpunch, unless it's Gyarados, so it's largely wasted. U Turn lets you scout around.
