(I'm new to these forums so I might not know about some shortened words and stuff)
So, here's my team and I want you guys to rate and help it become good in not only the UU metagame, but also the OU one.
My Team at a Glance
Nidoqueen
EV Spread
252 HP / 218 Def / 40 Spe
Nature: Relaxed (+ Def - Spe)
Ability: Rivalry (Curse Pearl's new ability... and no I can't change it...)
Item: Leftovers
Moveset
~ Poison Jab
~ Stealth Rock
~ Earthquake
~ Crunch (To get rid of those pesky Psychic types *COUGH*Gardevoir*COUGH*)
Nidoqueen is just to get Stealth Rock put up, and take a bit of damage while causing some too. But with one slot taken it's limited since I want to keep STAB moves. (Plus it's the only Poison user on my team) The important thing is to be unpredictable. Most OU people (Or at least the people who don't even go to UU or NU) would not guess that it would set up Stealth Rock. She's decent, but not that good as an attacker.
Phione
EV Spread
252 HP / 6 Def / 252 SpA
Nature: Modest (+ Sp.A - Atk)
Ability: Hydration
Item: Damp Rock
Moveset
~ Rain Dance
~ Surf
~ Grass Knot
~ Rest
Phione just seems to be so underrated. It's ability is really useful and it can work well with a Swift Swimmer, rather than putting another Water Type like Miltoic to Rain Dance that won't have much help from the weather besides powering up water moves. Surf is it's STAB move and Grass Knot was chosen over Toxic because I preferred an attacking move, also it can help to get rid of Steelix. Phione can be useful, but you have to be very careful with it.
Omastar
EV Spread
6 Def / 252 Sp.A / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid (+ Spe – Atk)
Ability: Swift Swim
Item: Life Orb
Moveset
~ Surf
~ Ice Beam / Protect
~ Earth Power
~ Ancientpower / Protect
Why is there no Rain Dance you ask? Well I got Phione to cover that. Phione serves a useful purpose since Omastar doesn't waste a turn with Rain Dance and can just get to attacking immediately. Protect was put in the mix for when Phione uses Surf, but Phione doesn’t have Protect due to types. Anyhow, Omastar a great addition to this team and can cause a huge dent in any environment.
Regice
EV Spread
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Sp.A / 4 Sp.D
Nature: Calm (+ Sp.D – Atk)
Ability: Clear Body
Item: Leftovers
Moveset
~ Ice Beam
~ Rest
~ Sleep Talk
~ Thunderbolt
The reason why I added Regice is because it was on my old team. (My old team with mixed tiers) Regice won me many battles when I saved it for last. It especially won battles on Pokémon Battle Revolution Wi-Fi, against Empoleons and Salamences. Regice is just overall a great Sp.D and a great overall Wall. I personally think it’s better than Blissey, but that’s just my opinion.
Sceptile
EV Spread
56 HP / 200 Def / 252 Spe
Nature: Modest (+ Sp.A – Atk) or Timid (+ Spe – Atk)
Ability: Overgrow
Item: Currently:Occa Berry / Later: Salac Berry (If anyone has one, I can offer some TMs to trade)
Moveset
~ Leech Seed
~ Hidden Power (Type unknown at the moment)
~ Substitute
~ Energy Ball
Sceptile had its throne of fastest grass type taken away by Shaymin Sky Forme. The thing is that now it’s in uber, Sceptile is now the fastest non-uber grass type. I took use of that speed with Leech Seed, so he can seed everything on the battlefield. Substitute will b e used first so he can seed without getting KO’d, and then use maybe Energy Ball. Sceptile is a great Pokémon and should never be underestimated.
Blaziken
EV Spread
106 HP / 252 Atk / 152 Spe
Nature: Adamant (+ Atk – Sp.A)
Ability: Blaze
Item: White Herb
Moveset
~ Blaze Kick
~ Stone Edge
~ Superpower
~ Brave Bird (Weird how it can learn it...)
Blaziken is a powerfull Pokémon and one of the few Physical Sweepers in my team. I chose Blaze Kick over Flare Blitz, because I already put in a self damaging move. Although I left in Superpower, for I still have a few White Herbs left. Even so, I did put in one self-damaging move Brave Bird. Having no flying types on my team at the moment, I didn’t want to leave that type out. Stone Edge was put in there in case there is a Pokémon weak to rock and Omastar is down. Blaze Kick and Sky Uppercut were put as STAB moves. Blaziken is a great physical sweeper and even a mixed sweeper.
Alright, so rate my team and tell me what you think and what to fix. Just remember this is my UU Team, so I can’t put any OU Pokémon. Well thanks for reading this, because if you are reading this I’m pretty sure you read the whole thing...
