My Very Overused Team (Go Go Power Rangers!)

So I've done nothing lately but amble around with teams revolving around mono dark teams and pokemon that generally don't work but are fun...and because of that I lose to...well, the guys I am about to present.

My Team!

Billy!
Levitate Lead Azelf (Of Course!)
Focus Sash
Naive
4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Stealth Rock
Psychic
Explosion
Grass Knot

Pretty Standard SR Azelf. Set up a stealth rock, hit things hard with psychic and Explosion when your done seems to be the theme on most but I prefer to keep mine around lategame. That's why I have grass knot over a fire attack, as it gets rid of hippowdon and takes nice chunks out of the heavy tanks of the game. Explosion is my last ditch effort.

NOTE: I am looking to replace Azelf but I needed Stealth Rock. I am interested in a special sweeper with grass knot. Names that come to mind are Alakazam, Gengar, Togekiss, Starmie (I think)...to name a few. Please, if I need feedback about anything it is this(I would throw SR on Skarm).

Jason!
Intimidate Special Sweeper Salamence (Oldschool!)
Choice Specs
Timid
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Draco Meteor
Dragonbreath
Flamethrower
Hydro Pump

Most Salamence are physical now, so a bad prediction means a free physical wall kill for me. Draco Meteor hits hard against most things. Flamethrower beats steels and rocks scizor. Hydro pump beats heatran and fire/rock/ground types...who really shouldn't be facing off with salamence anyway. Dragonbreath is chosen over dragon pulse just for the clutch paralyze, since if i wanted power I would be using meteor.

Zach!
Sand Stream Physical Sweeper Tyranitar (Breakthrough Idea...or not)
Choice Band
Adamant
176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spe
Stone Edge
Crunch
Aqua Tail
Fire Punch

No Pursuit!? I'm insane! Well maybe. But from my experience people just assume pursuit is coming for the revenge kill and just try to hit Ttar with their strongest attack before he crunks them. Plus this way the opponent has to actually worry about the attack i've choiced myself into, so I dont have to switch immediately. Aqua Tail and Fire Punch give me coverage on Hippowdon(who I really dont like) and most steels. Stone edge and crunch for strong stab attacks and type coverage.

Trini!
Keen Eye Physical Wall Skarmory (are you serious?)
Shed Shell
Impish
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Spikes
Whirlwind
Sleep Talk
Rest

I've chosen the sleep talk set over roost so I can have a sleep absorber. This really doesn't hinder the wall too much in my opinion, as I rarely found myself using drill peck. Sleep talk cancels out the priority of -5 for whirlwind, so if I'm faster I can cast them away before they even get an attack off. If I get rid of my lead azelf there will have to be changes, and likely skarmory will lead with stealth rock. shed shell lets me escape magnezone. If they taunt I switch. Period.

Kimberly!
Natural Cure Special Wall Blissey (We've all faced this before...)
Leftovers
Calm
252 Def / 80 SpA / 176 SpD
Wish
Protect
Toxic
Ice Beam

Wishbliss. It's the answer to all the special sweepers out there. Well, some can kill it, so I guess it's not a perfect answer, but it's the best OU offers. Wish+Protect accomplishes the same thing as softboiled except it takes two turns, allowing for more stalling (PP and Toxic HP Depletion). Ice beam is my only ice attack, which I just realized and that is certainly bad news. At least it hits everything. For the record I hate wishbliss because it absolutely wrecks the more fun UU pokemon I sometimes try including in my teams...save houndoom sometimes.

OH MAN ITS THE GREEN RANGER TOMMY! EVERYONE LOOK OUT
Technician Swords Dance/Revenge-ish killer Scizor (The OU of the OU)
Life Orb
Adamant
32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe
Swords Dance
Brick Break
X-Scissor
Bullet Punch

Hmmmn. Nothing will hit a dark pokemon harder than that. Anyhow, this scizor outspeeds tyranitar and beats it with brick break. Bullet punch/Technician/Stab/Priority is rediculous for revenge killing, and X-Scissor just deals a lot of damage, though I've been thinking about swapping it for U-Turn for the odd time I outspeed a counter. Swords dance lets me set up on the opponents switches.
Sorry for my lack of detail I guess. I gave it a shot. Anyhow this is how my very overused team turned out.

I have very few common weaknesses so my typing is good in my opinion. Nape might cause me some problems if it comes out lategame. If I were to drop Azelf I'd need a replacement who did more than add a fast pokemon with grass knot, which is why a trick alakazam or a spinner starmie may be useful. I'm fairly new to all of this so constructive criticism is actually appreciated, it will help me learn. Thank you for reading this nonsense, and respond with anything that comes to your mind. Thanks :)

GO GO POWER RANGERS!

I hate Power Rangers. Please move the pictures (plus it makes it harder to read your post).

Azelf:

You have Grass Knot on Azelf, because you want to keep it till late. It is very difficult for a suicide lead to survive for that long. Ideally, if you want to have Grass Knot, you should have it on a different pokemon.

Anyways, if you want a different lead with SR, try Lead Metagross. It's bulky enough to not need the use of a Focus Sash and a Occa Berry means it takes Fire hits better than Azelf. It still has SR and Explosion, but it hits harder with its main source of STAB (Meteor Mash). Have Earthquake as your last move to punish the Fire pokemon leads and make great use of your Occa Berry. There is little need for Bullet Punch when Scizor has a stronger one. Metagross may not have a ground immunity, but you've got two other pokemon with one should should such an immunity be needed.

Salamence:

If you want to abuse Dragonbreath for the paralysis, why are you using a Choice Specs? The aim of Specsmence is to hit as hard as possible on many different pokemon. Dragon Pulse is used to sweep late game, which is something that Dragonbreath is very poor at - Draco Meteor cannot do that either thanks to the SpA drops.

If you wanted Grass Knot for Swampert, you could replace Specsmence with SpecsLatias. However, Mence's Draco Meteor already does significant damage to Swampert (83.04% to 98.00%). Ideally though, Latias is much better at taking down Swampert, for unlike Mence, she shrugs off Mixpert's Ice Beam. Latias is also generally a better Specs user than Mence thanks to superior Speed, a lack of a x4 weakness and Trick, allowing it to cripple SpecsMence's bitch, Blissey. She also laughs at Infernape, a trait that many pokemon would love to claim for themselves. Replace Mence with the standard SpecsLatias (Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Surf, Trick). Just be careful of opposing Pursuit threats - Tyranitar and Scizor being the main culprits.

Skarmory:

It is unbelievable how much it hates Taunt. I know Skarmory can switch, but none of your teammates are safe switching into a DD boosted Gyarados. Your team has problems against Gyarados and Scizor. Skarmory fairs decently against them. Replace Rest and STalk with Brave Bird and Roost. A sleep absorber is much less important than the ability to deal with Gyarados and the #1 most used Pokemon.

Well the theme makes me laugh. But seriously, having no Electric attacks is bad. Azelf could carry T-Bolt, but that'd be about impossible to go up against Gyarados, unless you were to switch in exactly when it does.

celebi could work over any sweeper i think for countering gyarados, it works really well with skarmbliss to counter alot.

Tyranitar absolutely needs Pursuit. The beauty of the move is that even if they know the Pursuit is coming, there is nothing they can do about. Say the opponent has a Choice Scarf Gengar and you come in on anything except Focus Blast...Pursuit means its a free KO.

It is one of the best moves in the game, and Tyranitar is arguably the best at using it. It is really what makes him such a good user of the Choice Band.

Sorry for such a brief rate. I don't have much time right now.

Good luck with the team.

PS- get rid of the Power Rangers thing.

I just want to thank you guys for your input. I tried changing things up a little with dragonbreath and the resttalk skarm, but I suppose if I want to be OU I have to play OU. I like the idea of using Latias, I missed that generation of pokemon so I'm unfamiliar with a lot of things that came from it (plus I thought Lat was Uber for some reason).

Thunderpunch nape could help me out with a fast fire and lightning attack. But I'm stuck with what to drop for it, since my weaknesses are spread out and in my opinion very balanced right now.

Again, pardon the noob, just trying to learn.

And the power ranger theme is going to stay because...well because no one else does it! :)

Plus a mixnape could hold grass knot!

So right now im thinking Latias, TTar, Nape, Bliss, Skarm, scizor.

On that note Im assuming Nape is faster than a 1 dd gyarados...am i right? do I need a fast nature? I lack the knowledge to calculate this stuff myself

I've removed the large, irrelevant images to make the thread a little easier on the eyes. Sorry!

11. Put some effort into the presentation of your RMT. Adding tasteful, reasonably sized pictures of your Pokemon is encouraged as it helps with legibility. Note that this is entirely up to the discretion of the mods.
