Hey everyone! I have one question, are you bored of not being able to kill the same A+ rank mon everywhere? Yes? So this project will please you!
What is a lure? A lure is defined as any Pokémon that manages to draw out (or "lure") and eliminate an opponent's Pokémon which serves as a potential roadblock to the sweeper of your choice. (For more information read that Concept Of Lure)

• Every round, I'll pick one Pokemon from the "National Dex VR" to be discussed. The submission stage will last from Monday to Thursday.
• During the round, post a Pokemon of your choosing from the Viability Rankings which is able to lure the current target, with a Sprite, a Set , Description, and Calculations if necessary. (Note that they MUST be viable, no gimmicks.)
• From Friday to Sunday, you'll vote for one or two lure, and, at the end of the round, results will be archived with a link to the posts so that eventually we'll have a bank of lure for each viable target in the tier with descriptions and sets to match.
• The same Pokemon may be picked, but they have to have a different set.

Rules:

• Only post viable pokémon from the current Natdex VR, or I will reject your submission. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to let me know on here, Pokémon Showdown!, or Discord.
• If you think someone else's submission is unviable, please let me know with a reasoning of why.
• If your submission isn't clear enough, back it up with some calcs (you can use this website to calc.)
• Please do not submit any Pokémon or items from the blacklist, I will reject your submission and most likely ask you to delete your post.

Toxapex is a common check to Urshifu Rapid Strike due to it resisting its stabs and being able to pivot in and scout, however you can trap it with Whirlpool and Taunt it so that it cannot use Recover. You stay in and Thunder Punch until you kill it and now you open up your team-mates who don't break Pex as easily.

Slowking isn't the first thing you'd think of when you think "Pex lure", but in reality it serves as an excellent Pex lure, since despite its Psychic STAB, the nature of Future Sight usually means that Pex can come in on FS, fire off a Toxic, Scald, or Knock, and pivot around the FS when it lands. This set decides to take advantage of that sequence and uses a Z-crystal to fire off an extremely strong Shattered Psyche, OHKOing physdef variants and having a chance to OHKO Spdef variants after rocks. This set works best on builds that have a Z crystal and really, really hate Pex

This is an absolutely hilarious set that traps and PP stalls opposing Toxapex as well as a number of notable mons such as Clefable, Tangrowth, Amoonguss, Ferrothorn, Mega Charizard Y, Mega Venusaur, Blissey/Chansey lacking teleport, Heatran lacking taunt, even Gliscor without SD or Uturn. Using this set is pretty straightforward. Get Toxapex onto the field and click your 4th move of choice while hiding block/spite until the target you wish to trap switches in. Toxapex is a fairly common switch in to Pex so that they can exchange scald burns, thus you should have very little trouble making this set work. Once trapped, click spite until the opponent struggles to death and have a good laugh at their expense.

This set requires 3 moves to function properly leaving the 4th slot up to your discretion. Scald or Knock Off allows Pex to do its usual dirty work even when there is nothing to trap. Toxic or Tspikes are equally good options to spread status. Tspikes deserves a special mention as trapping a Toxapex often means you can keep Tspikes up for the rest of the game. Haze is an alright option which, coupled with some speed investment, will allow you to 1v1 and PP stall Reuniclus. It also has a huge 48 PP which enhances your stalling capabilities. Toxapex usually runs standard Pex items on the trapping set. However, you can opt for shed shell which has two notable upsides. Being able to drain PP from Heatran's magma storm or earth power and then immediately switch out will greatly improve your matchup vs this mon. Additionally, you can freely click block vs teams with Mega Sableye, Mega Diancie, Hatterene, or whatever other random magic bouncers and not worry about trapping yourself. A super niche option is leppa berry which will let you trap multiple pokemon in a single game by replenishing spite back to full PP. Pretty funny but I don't recommend it.

Spite Toxapex is straight from hell. If you use this mon, I'm not liable for any eternal damnation that might occur after your passing. Enjoy!

Toxapex is a perfectly fine switchin to normal utility Tapu Fini with Defog, and gets a Knock Off or a Scald for free into the Fini, and is still able to pivot out if Tapu Fini shows the CM Taunt set. However, Fini can immediately trap the Toxapex with Whirlpool, and overwhelm it with Whirlpool damage + Nature's Madness + Taunt, while Toxapex can do basically nothing back except for knocking off Tapu Fini's leftovers. This Tapu Fini set is also perfectly functional in situations where there is nothing to trap, checking Ash-Greninja and Non-Grassium Z Heatran as it usually does.

Okay i might unfortunately not have the time to do a real desc, so i'll do a quick description already if i don't manage to get the time to do a good post:

Since this Toxapex is spdef, it loses if it switches into SD into Sand Tomb. If they attempt to Haze they still lose, so they have to try to fish for a scald burn. Sand Tomb has a decent power thanks to technician + the biding damages, and also hits Heatran and Magnezone. The speed allows you to outspeed Modest zone, while full atk investment is needed to effectively beat Toxapex. Rest is dumped in HP.

The set also has some other benifiets, as the other coverage options for steel types in Flamethrower and Earth Power either leave it walled by Heatran, or Corvnight and Ferrothorn. Otherwise it buisness as usual, checking mons such as Non-Ice Beam Ash-Gren, Aegislash, and Kyurem (It cannot switch into anything besides EP though).

However, the addition of Low Kick onto CB Weavile changes this dynamic entirely, letting the little weasel outright OHKO Mega Tar.

Low Kick Weavile has other uses as well, being able to nail Heatran and Ferro hard, though losing out on priority can suck. Still, Low Kick Weavile does a great job of luring in Mega Tar and eliminating it.

Reuniclus's tendency to bring in Dark types such as Mega Tyranitar to halt setup makes this set a great lure to turn the matchup on it's head...70% of the time. Despite Focus Blast's trash accuracy, Colbur Berry allows Reuniclus to setup on the Tyranitar switch-in, live Crunch, and OHKO Tyranitar.

Mtar is a solid mon, but its lack of recovery means that it doesn't switch into many things reliably. Generally if it does switch in it's on mons it can pursuit trap, allowing it to avoid being outlasted. This is why I wanted to pick a mon weak to pursuit, so as to more reliably invite in Mega Tyranitar.

Most Glowking sets can threaten Tyranitar with a scald burn, but due to Tyranitar resisting both stabs and OHKOing standard Glowking with Crunch/boosted Pursuit people will often risk the burn. This is where the set comes in.

Glowking avoids the OHKO from Crunch/Pursuit after sandstorm damage (ugly EVs are optimized don't @ me). The 8 EVs not needed to live Crunch are dumped into SpA to guarantee the OHKO with the z-move, as well as to help +1 Focus Blast rolls. Fightinium also hits the steels which want to switch in on Glowking's STABs, and the other Pursuit trappers in the tier. I added Shadow Ball for the perfect coverage™, but it can be swapped for one of Glowking's many options. If you blow the z-move you can CM as it switches in and then possibly OHKO with Focus Blast (more likely with hazard chip), but this risks a miss and involves revealing your fighting coverage, which will discourage the Tyranitar from switching in.
