Project National Dex Monotype Core Laddering Challenge (On Break! Suggestions appreciated :3c)

Cycle 1, Slate 3: Spikes

For the third slate we propose cores that utilize Spikes to make a certain breaker shine. Ghost and Bug teams also have numerous options that also benefit from Spike's ability to wear down the opposing team, making this week offensively focused.

:ss/froslass: :ss/aegislash:
Example Tag: CCGh1 Neko
Froslass is the premier suicide lead for Ghost teams, as it sports an excellent Speed tier that allows it to shut down opposing Entry Hazard setters such as Galvantula and Ferrothorn, has access to Spikes, and can potentially trade with the opposing team with Destiny Bond. This maiden of ice complements Aegislash, which can utilize multiple sets to wallbreak or sweep the opposing team.

:ss/golisopod: :ss/scizor:
Example tag: CCBu1 Style
Golisopod exerts pressure on the opposing team due to its access to strong priority, allowing it to lay down Spikes to soften the opposition further. Scizor greatly appreciates Golisopod's ability to threaten pesky Psychic- and Dark-types such as Victini and Hydreigon, and repays this by removing faster, but frailer threats such as Mega Aerodactyl and Gengar. You are NOT allowed to use Mega Scizor for this challenge.

I made a mistake due to Timezone differences. You still have 18 hours to finish the challenge and submit the required Screenshots / Replays. I'll use GMT+8 from now on to prevent confusion on my side...

After the said time passes, any other submitted requirements will not be accepted. Sorry for the confusion :wo:

Slate 1 results have been compiled. Huge shoutout to schwipper for topping the NDM ladder with the flying core, and to Ashbala and AtraX Madara who mastered the water core.

Congratulations to ASKid679 for attaining Platinum with Bug this challenge (:vivillon: gang). We also want to congratulate Riku Sakuraba for finishing with Gold on both challenges (the nicknames were very nice too :o), and AtraX Madara for getting Gold with Ghosts.

Cycle 1, Slate 4: Sweep

For the fourth slate we propose cores that utilize setup moves to sweep opposing teams late game. Dragon and Steel teams have the bulk and the means to setup and sweep. The only question is, who will be able to sweep first?

:ss/jirachi: :ss/lucario:
Example Tag: CCSt1 Neko
Jirachi is famously known for setting up Z-Happy Hour then flinch its enemies to submission, making it invaluable in matchups such as Poison and Flying. Aside from this, Jirachi can specialize and use a plethora of sets to help Steel teams defeat certain types or checks. The Wish Pokemon would be supported by Lucario, which deals with Dark- and Steel-types that Jirachi struggles with due to its coverage and access to Nasty Plot and Swords Dance.

:ss/latias-mega: :ss/kommo-o:
Example tag: CCDr1 Style
Mega Latias is an excellent win condition for Dragon teams, due to its excellent bulk which allows it to setup and sweep teams such as Normal and Electric. However, Mega Latias is usually walled by Steel- and Dark-types, which Kommo-o thrives against. Latias must have Latiasite in this challenge.

Bronze: 1300 ELO
Silver: 1400 ELO
Gold: 1500 ELO
Platinum: 80% GXE

This challenge will end at: February 25, 2022 at 9 PM (GMT +8). Please submit your requirements on or before the deadline
