Protective Pads Wallbreaker
:ss/urshifu-rapid-strike:
Urshifu-Rapid-Strike @ Protective Pads
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Surging Strikes
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- Focus Punch / Thunder Punch

This set is well-known in OU. While you don't usually exploit Urshifu-R being Choice-locked the way you do with many other wallbreakers, Protective Pads allows it to use Surging Strikes without fearing Ferrothorn's Iron Barbs or Rocky Helmet from Pokemon like Corviknight, and you can use U-turn more freely. Focus Punch is the preferred option for the last slot because the added power is enough to KO Mega Scizor and Corviknight with Focus Punch into Close Combat, but Thunder Punch is an alternative when used with Tapu Koko so you can 2HKO Toxapex while hitting Tapu Fini harder.

Congratulations and welcome to the HoF TailGlowVM!

And now, one of the classic big boys.
:ss/tyranitar: :ss/tyranitar-mega:
Tyranitar has been a important member of every OU generation, and National Dex isn't less. It can act as a wallbreaker or a special wall able to Pursuit trap foes like Latias-Mega and Slowking-Galar. Its wide movepool makes it a great Pokemon to use in a project like Next Best Thing, so here we are! Who will come up with the best set? You can use both standard and mega. Good luck everyone!

DOUBLE DANCE TYRANITAR

:Tyranitar:
Tyranitar @ Leftovers :Leftovers:
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Iron Defense
- Rock Slide
- Body Press

This Tyranitar set can definitely pack a punch, with the heightened special defense in sand and Iron Defense build up, it's really hard to kill after setup. After setting up strong defenses, you move on to the offensive boosts. Dragon Dance now makes Tyranitar fast and hit like a truck. Steel types that threatened Tyranitar threaten it no more because of max boosted Body Press. Rock Slide is there for the STAB and it can initiate really helpful flinches.

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 48 SpD / 168 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Lash Out
- Pursuit
- Superpower

So yeah this is the standard CB set for TTar except it has the move Lash Out, which baits Lando-T to switch in and then it gets destroyed or takes heavy damage at the same time, it doesn't have to sub out one of it's stabs or superpower for ice punch because lash out is 75 bp and crunch is 80 bp so not much of a difference. Calcs: (I made lash out's power be 140 because the intimidate drop)

-1 252+ Atk Choice Band Tyranitar Lash Out vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Landorus-Therian: 280-330 (87.7 - 103.4%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
-1 252+ Atk Choice Band Tyranitar Lash Out vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Landorus-Therian: 280-330 (87.7 - 103.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
-1 252+ Atk Choice Band Tyranitar Lash Out vs. 0 HP / 12 Def Landorus-Therian: 276-325 (86.5 - 101.8%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
-1 252+ Atk Choice Band Tyranitar Lash Out vs. 0 HP / 12 Def Landorus-Therian: 276-325 (86.5 - 101.8%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO
-1 252+ Atk Choice Band Tyranitar Lash Out vs. 252 HP / 112+ Def Landorus-Therian: 226-267 (59.1 - 69.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

And my vote goes to Lash Out, so congrats Icegod777 for winning your best cycle.

Love is in the air! But nobody would submit a thing for Alomomola so...

:ss/lopunny-mega:
Lopunny is one of the best pivots in the tiers thanks to having access to Fake Out +U-Turn and its excellent Speed tier which allows it to act as your Speed control without wasting a Choice Scarf slot. It can perform well with a Encore+PuP set aswell. But Lopunny has a lot of unused but useful moves. Who will come up with the best set? Good luck everyone!

Lopunny-Mega @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Frustration
- Close Combat
- Healing Wish

The fast Healing Wish is for team support, you revive a teammate from your battered team like weavile that could clean up the opponent quite hard, scoring you the win for the unexpected surprise as the opponent usually will be unable to stop the healing wish + they don't know the set until it's revealed

Lopunny-Mega @ Lopunnite :Lopunnite:
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Endure
- Reversal
- Fake Out
- Return

I've returned with the Endure + Reversal set but on Lopunny-Mega this time. At one HP reversal has a BP of 200.

252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Reversal (200 BP) vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Corviknight: 253-298 (63.4 - 74.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Reversal (200 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Diancie-Mega: 312-367 (129.4 - 152.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Reversal (200 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kommo-o: 279-328 (95.8 - 112.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
