And that's the fifth win in a row for adem, congratulations!

:spooky-plate: So, well, I wanted a Ghost-type for this cycle as Halloween is approaching, Gengar and Aegislash were done, and Blacephalon does have no sets... :spooky-plate:

:kasib-berry:
:kasib-berry:
Shedinja is an amazing wall for a lot of prominent Pokemon in the tier, including those mentioned in its analysis, which works really well in specific stall compositions spreading status all over the opposing team. However, it does have some other utility options (such as Final Gambit) which may give you the win this cycle... Good luck everyone!

Shedinja @ Choice Band
Ability: Wonder Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Shadow Sneak
- Trick
- Poltergeist/Shadow Claw

Basically 450 total atk is nothing to laugh at, considering it has access to sucker punch and shadow sneak, and to be really annoying once its about to die as a last minute attempt to screw with non physical attackers, trick the choice band, and for extra damage use shadow claw or poltergeist.

Calcs:
252+ Atk Choice Band Shedinja Shadow Claw vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 200-236 (50.7 - 59.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Shedinja Poltergeist vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 312-368 (79.1 - 93.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Safety Goggles gives Shedinja an opportunity to wall Arctozolt in the hail, something Stall teams can sometimes struggle to do safely. It also safely handles most other threats often found on Hail teams. You need hazard removal obviously but between MSab and fitting other hazard removal options its far from impossible to provide. This also technically works against Excadrill, although Tyranitar is an issue. X-Scissor allows you to hit Tyranitar for some damage (its like min 44% so if you chip Ttar over a game and play really carefully its potentially useful) while also OHKOing aggressive Weavile if you get your predictions right. Poltergeist has good damage, Wisp allows you to cripple Zolt and generally spread burns. Protect for safety.

Honestly it's kinda a bad tech, but i used it once and went ok. One of the main problems with shedinja's special sets is how freely it can let Heatran switch in, so HP Ground is usable in order to punish it a bit (chipping Heatran is important for certains stalls). It still does almost nothing ( 252+ SpA Shedinja Hidden Power Ground vs. 252 HP / 128+ SpD Heatran: 100-120 (25.9 - 31%) -- 3.5% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery ), but it outdamages leftovers recovery, which is something Hex can't do (It does 12.4% max roll, and Heatran gets two free turns of Leftovers recovery by switching into Shedinja.)

Congratulations Sputnik for winning the Halloween Cycle!!

Now your blood has turned cold, it's time to bring heat to the competition.

Mega Charizard Y is a great partner for Pokémon such as Weavile and Tyranitar who can able it to sweep thanks to them trapping the most prominent check in Latias Mega, as well as Slowking Galar. However, Charizard has proven itself to be a big threat on its own thanks to its high Special Attack, ability in Drought and strong and useful coverage moves which let it break past would-be checks. Will you be able to extract all its potential without using its main tools? Good luck everyone!

Charizard-Mega-Y
Level: 100
Hasty Nature
Ability: Drought
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Flamethrower/ Fire blast
- Earthquake
- Dragon dance
- Solar Beam/roost

Earthquake let you 2ohko galar slowking which charizard cant do with other move while still able 2ohko heatran without reliance on focus blast and 2ohko choice band tyranitar after rock. Dragon dance let you outspeed other team speed control such as tapu koko, mega loppuny, scarf tapu lele.
For last move, you can use solar beam to hit water type such as tapu fini and slowbro or you could use roost for recovery

Work Up allows Charizard to to punish passive checks like Toxapex at the cost of its recovery, letting it easily clean past weakened as barely nothing can check a +1 Char Y.

Toxic Yard basically lures stuff like the Mega Lati Twins (who tend to be one of, if not the only checks to Yard on teams using them) in order to put them on a timer and make them unable to constantly check you with recovery, therefore letting you break them down easily overtime. Getting rid of Solar Beam definitely sucks, but most bulky waters barring Tapu Fini (Terrain blocking Toxic sucks, but pretty easy to wear down) and Toxapex hate getting poisoned anyways.

A good example of a team this set could beat with good prediction is the sample Mega Latias Team, as the Gastrodon and Mega Latias on that team can easily fall victim to Toxic while the Helmet Pex and Offensive Heatran are both easy victims to Scorching Sands.

That's another win for adem, congrats!

Ok I know I haven't been submitting staple mons lately so here you have a big one.
:ss/tapu-lele:
Tapu Lele, the Akala guardian, is a strong force in the tier thanks to its superb STAB combination along with a great ability in Psychic Terrain and great coverage moves in Thunderbolt and Focus Blast. Furthermore, some sets can even run Future Sight or Calm Mind to take advantage of these unexpected options. But this is nothing compared to the wide movepool Tapu Lele has. Who will take the crown this cycle? Good luck everyone!

Reserving twisted spoon + fsight

Tapu Lele @ Twisted Spoon
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Future Sight
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast/Hidden Power Fire/Thunderbolt

For this hot-fire lele tech I mainly went off of the idea that fsight lele tends to get walled by special walls a lot, and if you cant kill a special wall, why not put twisted spoon psyshock on it? Other than the first three moves, the last move is dependant on what you want to hit. Thunderbolt is to hit corv, focus for steels and psychic resists such as Ttar, Melmetal, Excadrill, Zone, Heatran, and Ferrothorn (I recommend this option). HP Fire is exclusively for Mega Scizor (It hits a couple of other steels but focus blast is preferred in those situations). For extra utilization of twisted spoon, switch in Lele right before fsight hits to guarantee both twisted spoons and psychic surges bonuses.

notable calcs:

252 SpA Twisted Spoon Tapu Lele Future Sight vs. 244 HP / 244 SpD Gliscor in Psychic Terrain: 292-345 (82.9 - 98%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Tapu Lele Focus Blast vs. 40 HP / 104 SpD Melmetal: 322-380 (76.4 - 90.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Tapu Lele Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 348-412 (102 - 120.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Tapu Lele Hidden Power Fire vs. 248 HP / 244 SpD Scizor-Mega: 208-248 (60.6 - 72.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Tapu Lele Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Corviknight: 204-240 (51.1 - 60.1%) -- 88.3% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Twisted Spoon Tapu Lele Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Blissey in Psychic Terrain: 370-436 (51.8 - 61%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Twisted Spoon Tapu Lele Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Slowking-Galar in Psychic Terrain: 246-291 (62.4 - 73.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Explaination :
Hidden power fire let you hit ferrothorn, mega scizor harder and with 100% accuracy but walled by heatran, if your team doesnt have problem against heatran you can afford to run this set. Psychium z because you can nuke stuff lol

EVs: 136 HP / 252 SpA / 120 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Moonblast
- Future Sight

This is, in my opinion, the absolute best set for using future sight with Lele. Choiced sets can run future sight but the loss of coverage isn't desirable and it's awkward to pull off. AV Lele sets up future sights more easily and punishes an immediate switch to a dark type with moonblast. Outside of abusing future sight, modest AV Lele still packs a ton of power. Combined with Lele's natural special bulk and AV boost, you can use this on offensive teams to soft check Ash Gren, Volcarona, Kyurem, Serperior, Koko, and a bunch of other threatening special attackers plus Mega Scizor by virtue of your terrain and hidden power fire. The given speed EVs creep modest Heatran by a few points so that you can also get the jump on Lando-T, Gliscor, and some other mons that EV for that specific benchmark.

:ss/tapu-lele:

Tapu Lele @ Leftovers
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Iron Defense
- Draining Kiss
- Stored Power

Really cheesy set, ID + CM Lele can be extremely hard to kill due to its ability to boost both defenses, as well as being able to bluff a CM + Z Move set, meaning defensive switch ins like Heatran and Corv will often switch out and provide an extra turn of set up. This set obviously doesnt work all the time, and without a Fighting or Fire Move it lacks the ability to immedietely threaten Steel types, but a double boosted Stored Power hits hard enough to warrant dropping it, especially when boosted by terrain. DKiss offers an extra burst of recovery and lets it clean teams easier.
