And my vote goes to SeedTect so congratulations GiyuForPresident for this cycle!

It's the funny day today and in Next Best Thing we couldn't be less!

:ss/mr-mime:
Mr. Mime is a staple in the tier thanks to its superb typing allowing it to switch into titans like Latios and Kommo-o. Its wide movepool allows it to fulfill multiple roles like setup sweeper, screener, support... These are some traits that allowed it to be at the peak of the Viability Rankings. Submit your best set for this beast!

Deadline: Sunday 3rd
No banned sets.

sleep paralysis demon (Mr. Mime) @ Pinap Berry
Ability: Soundproof
EVs: 252 Atk
Adamant Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Hypnosis
- Nightmare
- Wake-Up Slap

it approaches you in your sleep
deaf to your screams

it has a pineapple also

Usage:
swap in on dragons, feign scarf, then put foes to sleep or paralyze if sleep clause is active. rest assured that even without hypnosis, wake up slap hits komala for a 2hko.

Focus Sash Tapu Lele

uhhh sorry

Focus Sash Mr. Mime

:Mr. Mime: :Focus Sash:

Ability: Soundproof
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Dazzling Gleam

Luring kartana in and focus blast it to oblivion as it SD, even if it attacks the focus sash will allow mr.mime to destroy the origami. Nasty plot will give it a shot at wallbreaking if not outright sweeping.

+2 252 SpA Mr. Mime Psyshock vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 288-340 (40.9 - 48.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Congrats for your win this cycle ibleachyourskin!

As a Katy Perry fan, today we will have the Hot and next cycle we will have the Cold...

:ss/volcanion:
Volcanion was a great discover for the tier when Ox the Fox added it to their famous Hail team. It Specs set hits pretty hard and those who can switch in it are crippled by Toxic. Today you will make use of its decent movepool and incredible stats to come up with new sets. Good luck everyone!

:Volcanion:
Volcanion @ Grassium Z :Grassium Z:
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Solar Beam
- Steam Eruption
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power / Sludge Bomb

Volcanion is regularly walled by common bulky Water-types like Gastrodon, Slowking, Toxapex, and Tapu Fini. A common way to deal with these counters is using moves like Hidden Power Grass, Earth Power, and Sludge Bom/Wave. While Grassium Z is sub-optimal for Toxapex due to it being neutral and Earth Power existing, it greatly deals with the other 3. It also surpasses the capabilities of HP Grass, alowing it to secure OHKO's or force risky switches.

:Volcanion: ➡ :Gastrodon:
252+ SpA Volcanion Bloom Doom (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Gastrodon: 744-876 (174.6 - 205.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Volcanion Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Gastrodon: 236-280 (55.3 - 65.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

:Volcanion: ➡ :Tapu Fini:
252+ SpA Volcanion Bloom Doom (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Fini: 362-428 (105.2 - 124.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Volcanion Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Fini: 116-138 (33.7 - 40.1%) -- 33.9% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ SpA Volcanion Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Fini: 182-216 (52.9 - 62.7%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ SpA Volcanion Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Fini: 172-204 (50 - 59.3%) -- 74.2% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

:Volcanion: ➡ :Slowking:
252+ SpA Volcanion Bloom Doom (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Slowking: 306-362 (77.6 - 91.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Volcanion Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Slowking: 98-116 (24.8 - 29.4%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO

:Volcanion: ➡ :Toxapex:
252+ SpA Volcanion Bloom Doom (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Toxapex: 167-197 (54.9 - 64.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Volcanion Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Toxapex: 158-188 (51.9 - 61.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

:volcanion:
Volcanion @ Heavy-Duty Boots/Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 32 HP / 252 SpA / 224 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Steam Eruption
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Wave

Volcanion forces a lot of switches due to its high power.
It can abuse that with sub to gernate momentum.
Sub also helps out against walls like pex, fini and clef.
If you run Leftovers, you will need o good Defogger.
Hdb appreciates wishpass.

Have fun!

3A shuca berry volcanion

:volcanion: :shuca berry:

Volcanion @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Steam Eruption
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Wave
- Toxic

Volcanion's middling speed means that it's usually used as setup fodder by ground types, since they scare it out with eq. However they are in for a nasty surprise when they click the eq. However unlike heatran, it can't use air balloon effectively due to it's weakness to rock, which will make the grounds just click stone edge instead and volc still dies. Burning the grounds will neutralise them, saving significant amounts of health for their counters such as landorus-t and tangrowth

Vs garchomp :garchomp:

:garchomp: :rockium-z: vs :volcanion: :shuca berry:
252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Volcanion: 282-332 (93.3 - 109.9%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO

252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Shuca Berry Volcanion: 141-166 (46.6 - 54.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

+2 252 Atk burned Garchomp Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Shuca Berry Volcanion: 140-165 (46.3 - 54.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Garchomp Stone Edge vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Volcanion: 188-222 (62.2 - 73.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

They won't recklessly use a z without a boost

:volcanion: :shuca berry: attacks :garchomp: :rockium-z:

252 SpA Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Garchomp: 205-243 (57.4 - 68%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

If you sack it burning it is a good thing since you save health on something like lando or tang

Vs landorus-therian :landorus-therian:

:landorus-therian: :flyinium-z: attacks :volcanion: :shuca berry:

+2 252 Atk burned Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Shuca Berry Volcanion: 151-178 (50 - 58.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Shuca Berry Volcanion: 153-180 (50.6 - 59.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Landorus-Therian Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Volcanion: 204-240 (67.7 - 79.7%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

+2 252 Atk burned Landorus-Therian Supersonic Skystrike (175 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Volcanion: 264-312 (87.4 - 103.3%) -- 25% chance to OHKO

If they try to predict, but usually they won't waste a flyinium on you tho :)

:Volcanion: :shuca berry: attacks :landorus-therian: :rocky helmet:

252 SpA Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 434-512 (113.6 - 134%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Clean OHKO (different spread to inform that even in the worst likely scenario you can do so)

vs Heatran :heatran:

:heatran: :grassium-z: attacks :volcanion: :shuca berry:

252+ SpA Heatran Earth Power vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Shuca Berry Volcanion: 118-139 (39 - 46%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Heatran Earth Power vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Shuca Berry Volcanion: 107-127 (35.4 - 42%) -- 80.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Heatran Bloom Doom (190 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Volcanion: 226-267 (74.8 - 88.4%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

252+ SpA Heatran Bloom Doom (190 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Volcanion: 249-293 (82.4 - 97%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Again they won't recklessly click the z here. Also both natures are viable to run so yeah

:volcanion: :shuca berry: attacks :heatran: :leftovers:

252 SpA Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 252 HP / 136+ SpD Heatran: 276-326 (71.5 - 84.4%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

You don't always ko but you definitely leave it in range of something(different spread is due to same reason as lando situation above)

Congrats K302 for your win, keep it up!

Featuring one of the strongest mons ever...

:ss/mawile-mega:
Mawile is an absolute beast in the tier hitting almost everything extremely hard. Moreover, it has access to both Swords Dance and Sucker Punch to make you cry like this poor little thing :sobble:. It's time to find more and more interesting sets for it.

Deadline: Sunday 17th

:Mawile-Mega:
Mawile-Mega @ Mawilite :Mawilite:
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Play Rough
- Knock Off / Swords Dance
- Focus Punch
- Substitute

Play Rough for STAB, Knock Off for checks like Toxapex, Focus Punch for absoluely nuking steel types like Ferrothorn, and lastly Substitute to work in conjunction with Focus Punch. EVs and nature ensure for maximum power while also having a slow Substitute. Swords Dance can be used but extra power isn't worth it when you're walled by Toxapex.
