SoCal Asian BO :groudon-primal::kyogre-primal::zygarde::arceus-fairy::marshadow::giratina-origin:
uhhh pretty standard dd zyg bo. Defensive Pogre covers Zyg checks pretty well. Gira-O is the defogger because DD Zyg handles webs well enough, and I needed a more long-term Primal Groudon switch-in. Marshadow is a potent anti-offense tool, and Arceus-Fairy is chosen over Arceus-Dark because this team autoloses to Yveltal Webs. The gameplan is pretty standard. Get rocks up, identify a wincon, and play your game. Matches up well into everything, but especially more passive balances.

Choice Specs Chi Yu + Dragon Dance Zygarde :chi-yu: :zygarde: :groudon-primal: :pheromosa: :arceus-water: :marshadow:

Thought I'd make something more stupid; Choice Specs Chi Yu and Dragon Dance Zygarde attempt to overwhelm typical GHAZ structures by just spamming strong attacks. Primal Groudon here has to be maximum physical defense because this team has no Marshadow answer, and we have Arceus-Water for Primal Kyogre anyways, so there's no major harm in using defensive Primal Groudon purely as a physical wall. Arceus-Water encourages Tera Grass Ho-Oh so Chi Yu can smash through it while also being a nice bulky wincon. Pheromosa helps against Sticky Web and offers pivoting for Chi Yu and Marshadow, the latter of which is needed for Ultra Necrozma and Arceus. Yes, there are three choiced users here. No this team is not good (the stall MU might be cooked).

So, I don't think voting for myself is allowed, this is just my opinion. That being said, I think this team is the best of them. I thought the team is a little weak to Marshadow, but it turns out that's a common theme among these teams and that mine is actually fairly good all things considered. Now, the team is actually very weak to Lunala and Chien Pao, but that's not that big of a deal compared to other weaknesses the teams of this round have.

:zygarde: :rayquaza: :kyogre-primal: :ho-oh: :groudon-primal: :arceus-dark: by TheShowdownHero
One of the few teams that doesn't really struggle with Marshadow, I considered putting this team above my own. It doesn't really have any weaknesses that are too egregious. I did notice that on the off chance you run into Tera Ice Chien-Pao, your entire team is kinda fucked, but that's not really a big deal. What is however is that the team kinda sucks ass into Double Edge Extreme Killer Arceus. This is one of those teams that I'd probably use Tera Steel Ho-Oh.

:zygarde: :arceus-fairy: :giratina-origin: :marshadow: :groudon-primal: :kyogre-primal: by Rothcore
The biggest weakness of this team is that it's probably the worst into Choice Band Marshaow out of all of these. Basically all Marshadow has to do is click Tera Ghost and it kinda just wins. Tera Dark Arceus Fairy would have gone a long way to make this team better, and I'd probably put it in first if it had that. Outside of that, it's web matchup isn't the best, but I wouldn't call it the worst. It's a pretty good team for the most part.

:chi-yu: :zygarde: :groudon-primal: :pheromosa: :arceus-water: :marshadow: by Sami
This team has a slightly better matchup against Marshadow, but it's still at the risk of being 2HKO'd by it after Tera Ghost, and from what I can tell at least, its webs matchup stinks.

:zygarde: :persian-alola: :groudon-primal: :arceus-ground: :ho-oh: by SIARFN
Believe it or not, the problem here isn't Persian. It's rarely a good idea to submit a team with a Pokemon that hasn't really been seen before, and the choice to put Fake Out on it is highly questionable to say the least, but Choice Scarf Alolan Persian does at least seem to function. I can't say with confidence that I think it's a remotely good choice, but I see the vision, and have a lot of respect for SIARFN for having the guts and ingenuity to submit it. No, the real problem is the team's abysmal matchup into Kyogre. If it switches onto Primal Groudon and you haven't tera'd yet, you're kinda fucked, as it now threatens to OHKO every member of your team with Origin Pulse. But while that's a pretty big problem, it's as far as I can tell the only major problem the team has. Every team here has big flaws, but they all aren't what I would call bad perse. Even as the worst, the team is pretty decent.

And the winner is... Dragon Dance Zygarde + CB Ho-Oh :zygarde: :ho-oh: :diancie-mega: :groudon-primal: :ferrothorn: :ditto: by cancel cult!

Next Pokemon is...
:sv/arceus-dark:
Arceus-Dark @ Dread Plate

- Taunt / Refresh

Arceus-Dark @ Dread Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 Spe or 248 HP / 136 Def / 124 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Tera Type: Poison / Fairy / Fire
Timid / Bold Nature
- Foul Play
- Toxic / Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt / Stealth Rock
- Recover
Arceus-Dark has remained one of the best Arceus formes in the format ever since its conception, due to its superb bulk, movepool, and mono-Dark typing giving it minimal weaknesses, whilst being essential against Ultra Necrozma, Deoxys-A, and Lunala. While Defensive Arceus-Dark was commonly seen during the Xerneas meta, ever since the start of 2025, Calm Mind Arceus-Dark has taken its place, keeping its good bulk to check the aforementioned threats alongside Yveltal and offensive Eternatus, while being a potent wincon in its own right. How will you build around the best Arceus forme in the tier? Building ends on Friday 7th of November.

Swords Dance Foul Play Arceus-Dark Sticky Web

I trust that you, dear reader, are already apprised of this Sticky Web core--I disclosed nigh all its intricacies in the Good Cores Thread, must it be of interest.

Anyhow, Darkinium Z confers Arceus-Dark a singular nucleus to eradicate Ho-Oh and Zygarde from full; morphing back into the inutile Foul Play subsequently--thence, employ it with all prudence!

Regrettably, Payback endues value entitled to a scoff.

Earthquake and Gunk Shot ensure Zacian-C nor Arceus-Fairy frustrates Arceus-Dark. Under the succor of Sticky Web, Swords Dance Arceus-Dark encounters opportunities for setup against Calm Mind Arceus-Dark.

Well wishes!

The opposing Arceus surrounded itself with its Z-Power!

The opposing Arceus unleashes its full-force Z-Move!
The opposing Arceus used Black Hole Eclipse!
(Zygarde lost 100% of its health!)

Zygarde fainted!

Back when I was a wee lad I had the hilarious idea to make a doubles team with choice scarf eruption heatran, choice scarf dragon energy regidrago and choice scarf water spout blastoise. I got to like 1400 elo with it which was pretty high for me at that time.
Then I thought, hey, water spout and eruption, which mons also get that? kyogre and groudon. So I cooked the worst team known to man with teleport Lunala and some other bullshit.
A billion years later and I am in NDFL season 3 and Sami says that eruption groudon would be a good pick and I bring up spoutspam. So I refreshed the shitty ass Lunala spoutspam team and here we are today.

The team is fairly standard aside from T-wave defensive ho-oh which paired with zygarde makes a nice paraspam core which aids the spouters to outspeed shit.
also ditto is simultaniously turbo ass and the goat

:arceus-dark::groudon-primal::giratina-origin::landorus-therian::kyogre-primal::alomomola:
This is my first post here, so hopefully I did the formatting right. I built a team with 4 mons that abuse Wish Alo, and Arceus-Dark because he is good against a lot of otherwise hard-to-deal-with wallbreakers like MMY, Lunala, and Deo-A and can clean up with a CM sweep late game. Our defenses are solid physically and specially. We can set hazards with Landorus and Groudon and chip with Giratina Dragon Tail, and nuke the enemy team with PDon and PKyo.

I've been playing this team on ladder and gotten some pretty good wins so far. This replay is a good example of how the team works:

:calyrex-ice::ho-oh::groudon-primal::alomomola::arceus-dark::diancie-mega:
My first attempt at an Ice Rider Calyrex team had the first five Pokemon listed here and Bulk Up Marshadow, however it stinked into webs, so I dropped Marshadow. I was brainstorming what to put in its place and about to start from scratch when I struck gold, or rather diamonds. Calyrex, Alomomola, and Mega Diancie compliment each other perfectly. Alomomola patches up the longevity issues of both its partners and can get them in safely so they can Terastalize or Mega Evolve, Diancie blocks hazards for Calyrex and improves the Webs matchup, and Calyrex provides vital offensive pressure to make the team less passive, something both Alomomola teams and Mega Diancie teams can sometimes struggle with. Alomomola also acts as a solid substitute for Zygarde, matching its general physical bulk and being able to switch in on Marshadow, which lets this team inherit some of the structural solidity of GHAZ. And while Alomomola might not really be able to check Mega Salamence or Dragon Dance Arceus Ground like Zygarde, Ice Rider Calyrex can. Honestly, I'm kinda amazed at how well these Pokemon compliment each other.
(also I edited this cause I had the wrong fucking mola spread)

Tera Type: Grass / Dark
Calm Nature
- U-turn
- Roost
- Icy Wind
- Acid Spray / Alluring Voice
There was a tie between these two with 4 votes each. Mega Salamence is one of the most threatening setup sweepers in the tier due to its poorly-resisted Flying moves, high 145 Attack, ability to outspeed practically everything with a single boost, and having quite a lot of setup opportunities thanks to Intimidate in its base forme. Although it has fallen out of favour in the tier's history, it still remains a powerful option despite competing with Arceus-Ground and Ultra Necrozma for the slot. There is also the Defog sets which are a decent anti-meta option in the tier, easily removing Sticky Web against Yveltal and Chi Yu, while still retaining a good matchup against defensive Primal Groudon and Ho-Oh. On the other side of the coin we have Fezandipiti, a newcomer in the tier with its superb defensive typing, helping check Eternatus, Yveltal, Calm Mind Arceus-Dark and Arceus-Fairy, all while pivoting, which replicates Magearna's niche back in USUM. Even if its hard to use and justify on a team sometimes, it still creates a strong defensive anchor for teams, especially since it assists in removing Sticky Web via Icy Wind with Ho-Oh.

Rambling aside, you are not required to use these two on the same team, you can build either one you want, unless you want to try use both on the same team (which is probably do-able). Which will it be? The flying Dragon or the ground-weak bird? Building ends Wednesday 19th November.

:yveltal::groudon-primal::necrozma-dusk-mane::ho-oh::arceus-fairy::salamence-mega:
I like clicking the funny button that 2HKOs everything. Yveltal, Arceus Fairy, and Salamence together should in theory make for a decent webs matchup, CM Refresh Fairyceus provides a switch in to status conditions for Yveltal and Salamence as well as providing general Arceus things. NDM patches up Zacian and some other stuff. Passes most of my checklist, isn't great into Marshadow but is still a workable matchup with Yveltal and Tera Dark Arceus Fairy. Chien-Pao is similarly annoying, if your opponent manages to somehow fit Marshadow and Chien-Pao on the same team you'll have some problems. Overall though pretty solid I think.
