yo, i want to let anyone who might consider drafting me know that i heavily prefer doubles
i have played svou and ssou in the past but it's been a long time since i've done anything related to either of those tiers so i'm incredibly out of touch. as for ubers... if you've seen any of my previous ndfl runs you'll know. can support and sub in for these tiers if necessary but, again, i rather not.

Next year, I humbly request that this rule be changed to allow NDPL players to play in NDFL with restrictions. While the current system does indeed work and served its purpose when the playerbases of tiers were smaller so that mainers could get a chance to play, I think it has outgrown its usefulness. The mainers of NDFL in the past are now to an extent becoming the new permabench slots/bought support in the present, which robs them of team tour play simply for being good not good enough to start. It's especially rough for our lower tiers with how strong the tourists and current mainers tend to be (most Ubers supports wouldn't last long in the NDPL ubers pool for example) so they practically never see playtime.

Will some of them start in later weeks? Maybe, but most probably won't and even fewer will start in weeks that actually matter (not week 7 "we're already out" pity starts). I think NDFL could benefit a lot by including (or for some re-including) a pool of this general quality to help elevate the skill of the FL pool. Makes the individual wins a lot more impactful overall and offers better recognition compared to what we currently have (FL people fighting FL people). The current situation is so weird that some people have ended up turning to dedicated FL mains because they don't really have stronger players to beat on (Niadev, TBIC106, Squeeby, etc).

By midseason (I believe week 4?), NDPL teams should be very commited to their lineups at that point and anyone who hasn't started by then should be allowed to play in this tour because clearly they are not going to get an opportunity to get valuable games in otherwise. One might feel concern about someone like Faygoes, Savouras, or DripLegend maybe signing up, but this is an extremely unlikely scenario considering that they either are not going to ride the bench for 4 weeks straight or won't play this tour with the lack of a prize. Even then it's not unheard of to have these types of players play in FL considering users like Noname and Iride were also playing FL after they were already essentially proven players and very much NDPL draftable (Iride didn't even signup for NDPL last year). I think this is generally a concept that has very minimal downsides.

Free NDPL players if they have not started by week 4 next year. Accept this one true way sealoo omar Evilo42.

I would also like to add that if you have not been drafted to NDPL or NDFL prior to this year then you should not be disallowed from joining NDFL simply because you were drafted to NDPL. It does nothing but rob newcomers the opportunity to have a team tournament to actually play in instead of being a support. This tournament is such an incredible opportunity for those just outside the top echelon of proven talent and skill, I agree with Runo and hope the rulings can change to better reflect that.
