As of writing this post there are 111 SV signups and 54 Bo3 signups. I just want to quickly shoutout some people that I think are underrated picks in this tournament, especially since in other team tournaments, the selection of NDUbers players is rather limited due to it being a single slot. This isn't supposed to be a "guide" on who to draft however, since the tryouts in Discord servers should be prioritised over what I have to say. But I would still keep an eye out for these guys:
8truc - Made it to Round 6, aka Semis, of last year's Ubers Open 3, losing to Splendid Silver Star, which is still respectable when they've beaten other competent players such as Dabman. Outside of NDUbers, they are a very respected Ubers and AG player, currently 3-1 in AGWL 3 for Eternatus Devils.
BEASTADARSH - Currently Round 7 in Winter SSNL vs Xurkiyee. Although he only went 2-4 in NDFL 3, I have a feeling some of that came down to what he was loading rather than him being a bad player (trust me the building has improved). Outside of tournaments though, great supporting role in NDCL for the WildBolt Charger's despite what happened (nailbite), and quite active on Discord too.
Cancel Cult - Alongside Beast, he is also Round 7 of Winter SSNL against Jumpheart, he's won against top players such as Entrocefalo and myself, and has played in Circuit Playoffs for the tier. He is quite active on Discord, and was willing to play NDCL despite
not understanding how the drafting process works. Probably one of the biggest underdogs in the tier IMO.
ILoveGarchom - Made it to Round 10 of Summer Seasonal last year, which is insane. Also made it to circuit playoffs, which is also insane. Pretty active on Discord too.
Jojen - The guy who saved Wildbolt Chargers singlehandedly in the Ubers slot, 2-2 record is pretty solid considering my incompetence as a support. Currently going on a cheeky 4-1 in AGWL 3 for Slashing Leaves' as well as going 2-3 for Brazil in UWC 4.
LORD SAGIS - Pretty sure everyone already knows who this is but he went 2-2 in NDBD and still has a lot of Ubers experience under his belt so I'd say this is a pretty strong pick.
mipc - Good player who's R7 in Winter SSNL. Not that active on Discord but it can be worked around. Good clicker though assuming he has teambuilding support.
Squeeby - Got into Circuit Playoffs, got a disgusting 7-1 performance in NDFL 3, which I'm very sure makes up for the 0-2 run in NDCL. Despite that, really good player who's kinda active on Discord. Definitely one of the best in this list, especially since they don't have any weird teambuilding quirks AFAIK.
unfuuny - Why wouldn't I mention breezai himself? Went 6-2 in NDFL 3, had a good 4-3 record in both NDBD and NDFL 2, and has a relatively active Discord presence. Even though he loves mentioning floober (Gothitelle), he can still pilot and play with anything else pretty well, and is overall just a good influence to have IMO.
If you're not mentioned in this post, don't worry too much, since I'm not even a manager, just some council member spouting off. What really matters is your influence in tryout Discord servers.
