OP Stolen from NDWC V.
NDWC VI Set & Team Dump is here to serve as an opportunity to post whatever anyone has used so far! It's pretty self explanatory, post teams you used or built in NDWC VI here!

Rules
  • This is for teams used in, or heavily considered for use, in NDWC VI ONLY.
  • A Pokepaste would be preferred in terms of formatting. Sprites would also be a helpful addition.
  • Descriptions/stories about the teams are allowed (encouraged, even) but consider using a spoiler tag if they end up being very long.
  • These teams may be considered to be used as Sample Teams so no need to post in the bazaar as well.
And that's it! Happy posting, and good luck to the teams in the playoffs!

Wassup fam here to drop what i utilize or build for a teammate during this tournament. Debut in this tour and going 3-1 is a nice achievement. Unfortunate i am out but i had so much fun each week haha. Lets get into it:
w1 vs Kafkafka Loss
1777264765844.png
Wanted to utilize a strong wallbreaking core in CB Sneasler + Nidoking for the potential mus i was expecting. Since it was w1 i expected safe pick in either Dragon / Steel / Normal which CB Sneasler really loves. Z Haze alolan muk is a funny tech option if i ran into cheese screens Psychic ft. Iron Crown but never happened. I got the Dragon mu but unfortunately ran into Poison Killer M Lati!

w2 vs Feen Won
1777265181610.png
I always preach about how strong Specs Walking Wake is on water and wanted to form a strong core in Wake + Scarf Shifu. Both complement each other well in wallbreaking Dragon well which i expected to be brought; Since when me and sunnyb0i helped him in NDCL (i believe that was the tour.) We kept just talking about how busted Dragon is and just made him utilize it over and over haha. I decided also to slap the core on a Rain build with Poison Jab Mega Pert which since the lack of Toxapex and i hate relying on only Pelipper to deal with Bulu, I had that just incase.

w3 Dwagon vs Suuicunee Won
1777265802416.png
Unfortunate family emergency came up which i couldnt play so Dwagon subbed in to secure the dub so shout out to Dwagon . I never seen suuicunee play NDM so i just gave a team that was just safe vs new players and Dragon fits that.

w4 vs Crash Won
1777266074190.png
It was either Poison or Ground and i went with Ground. Tbh i just wanted to utilize Z Mamoswine so i brought it. Overall i expected Crash to bring Dark Normal or Ground Mirror.

w5 vs Scarfire Won
1777266432030.png
Me and Scarfire know each other well and what our preferences are so it was a hard one to prep haha. I expected him to bring Flying mainly then like Water or Ground which made me utilize this unique Electric. Me and Premonitions made this a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago so i just tweak the Iron Hands evs + opted shuca berry on koko for the mus i was expecting. Then the rest of the build was making sure i am good vs the majority of the metagame. Yes i utilize 2 z moves on this build as it covers different mus. BU Z Fairy Zeraora covers the mirror / Fairy / Dark / Dragon whereas Z Mirror Coat Sandy Shocks was for Poison which is overall a shitty mu for Electric. Nasty Plot Rotom as well is for the Poison mu but really shines in the Ground mu that i was afraid of.

Enjoy! once again i had fun competing and repping the Westside. Til next time, thank yall for having me :D Shoutout to hex for picking me up and the rest of the West + Midwest team for being such a huge vibe haha.

Edit: the ground paste had no evs mamo for some reason so i just updated the paste so it has em LOL

Hi all, this was my first time starting more than 1 game in this tour and despite our poor performance im pretty happy with how our sv slots did over the tour! s/o to Sami for building with me throughout the tour (even if ur ideas suck most of the time) and also to Rasche and DD Joe for cooking every week

I wasn't available during week 1 to really build much but from week 2 I was a lot more active (only going into more depth in the teams I act loaded):

:kyurem: :scizor-mega: :alomomola: :ting lu: :zapdos: :zamazenta: Rasche vs Nashrock W2 (W)
:gholdengo: :diancie-mega: :volcarona: :ogerpon-wellspring: :dragonite: :terapagos: Cow vs Seperation W2 (L)

:samurott-hisui: :zamazenta: :slowking-galar: :latios-mega: :iron treads: :zapdos: Me vs Fusien W3 (W)
Original idea was Mwater Hamu + Rock Z Zama where Zama would bait out birds for Samu to break more freely, as well as obviously Zama synergising well with the spikes Samu Sets. Mwater Ajet on Hamu helped with my Volcarona matchup which was looking very dicey. Initially I went down a really offensive route with a lead Ting Lu, but in testing this fatter version performed a lot better. Ice Beam Latios was chosen to help improve my Gliscor mu which kinda sat on everything not called Hamu. In game I ended up rolling a really favourable mu where their best Zama check was Zapdos which ended up getting nuked by Rock Z, meaning after Dengo was chipped early game Zama had a relatively free path to clean. Thanks to Suuicunee for helping with this one

:ogerpon-wellspring: :zapdos: :zamazenta: :ting lu: :alomomola: :gholdengo: DDJoe vs Molly W3 (L)
:kyurem: :zapdos: :great tusk: :melmetal: :samurott-hisui: :pecharunt: Rasche vs Sequoia W3 (W)

:zamazenta: :tapu lele: :iron treads: :tornadus-therian: :samurott-hisui: :slowking-galar: Me vs Feen W4 (L)
Pretty disappointed about this loss, largely because of some glaring faults in the builder. We thought Asia would load some balance / bo into me so we slapped on one of the most offensive cores you could think of (Band Zama Cm Lele + Spikes), and we did indeed end up rolling that matchup. However what we did NOT take into account is that said balance / bo structures generally have a fast fighting type (usually Zamazenta which we were okish into but if it was Rock / Dark Z or Band it was dicey) or more rarely Mega Lopunny which we were stupidly weak to and had no resist to its STAB combo. I still don't think this team is bad per say and I think in a lot of matchups its basically guaranteed a win, even this one was playable with some more aggressive play and better sequencing.

Side note but I think AV Hamu is a baller and a really nice soft check into a lot of things right now on offensive structures.

:ribombee: :gholdengo: :raging bolt: :ogerpon-cornerstone: :great tusk: :tornadus-therian: Me vs Xurkiyee W5 (W)
My beloved. I've been loading this sporadically on ladder for months now (Peaking n2 caus I'm washed asl and cant peak n1) and its always been really fun to pilot, so when we were already 0-6 down when it came to my game I thought I may as well just load something I was comfortable with. Idea is self explanatory (It's webs), with the only real differentiating factor being using Cogerpon to have a better matchup into Zapdos and other fatter cores. Off preview I thought I was fighting Luna Semiroom and thought I was fried, but after Luna revealed Bulletproof I could pretty safely assume the Cress wasnt TR which made my life a lot easier. This paste was Twave Hex Ghold caus nongyboii5000 told me to (still no clue why!) but generally I would just use Plot Balloon.

https://pokepast.es/4e1a3037045ce55c BEST PASTE...if I were to pick a favourite team all tour its this. (Bee EVs are to live shifu surging from full)

Huge thank you to EatFoods Sami and paysa for trusting me to start from week 3, really happy to go positive in this and hopefully see yall again in the future, peace! Next year is our year....

Sharing teams and some brief thought process for each round of NDWC now that Northeast is officially out.

Week 1 vs Micaiah
:garchomp::tornadus-therian::gholdengo::zamazenta::diancie-mega::alomomola:

Solid team that feels reflective of one viable approach to balance in the current meta. Had some medical things going on and wasn't able to play since circuit, and I knew Micaiah was in incredible form after NDCL (and evidently still is) so I wanted to bring something that felt a bit familiar to what I was using towards the end of my last ssnl run and without too many glaring holes. Unfortunately ran into a horrible matchup with CB Weav as a major issue for the team, plus Helmet Tang/AV Mola to contain the rest of my breakers. No regrets, just loaded into a really difficult matchup and the opponent played it well.

Week 2 vs Interlinked
:kyurem::great-tusk::slowking-galar::corviknight::Zamazenta::alomomola:

I don't recall who built the first iteration of this team (it was not me) but Leroi used this earlier in the tour and many others have used some edited variant of it in other recent tours. Kyurem looked like it was good into his scout and Isza had commented (correctly) that most of the balance teams everyone was bringing early in NDWC were fried by NeverMeltIce Kyurem, so we edited the paste for this over the original Expert Belt set which had HP Fire. As a result of this, Ferrothorn took way longer than needed to wear down and the game turned into a bit of a slow grind with fsight+regen looping for over an hour. I believe I won this game outright if Kyurem wasn't para'd on the three turns I clicked an ice move vs Torn, but it was a close game and Interlinked is a good friend so I was okay with it.

Week 3 vs Darkness 789
:mawile-mega::ceruledge::Zamazenta::ogerpon-wellspring::moltres-galar::iron-treads:

Definitely one of the more enjoyable offenses I built recently. I believe Mega Mawile is extremely threatening on screens HO, which is an archetype that excels by forcing trades, and that is exactly what Mega Mawile does best in this meta. It can also be a late-game wincon and somewhat fixes the stall matchup that other offenses struggle with. I honestly did not feel that I played poorly in my first two rounds, but in my mind I knew if I lost this week that my individual ndwc run was over, so in case I lost I wanted it to be with something I enjoyed using and that I had the highest level of confidence to pilot well. Fortunately, I rolled a favorable matchup against a very solid and in-form Darkness, which showcased Mawile's effectiveness very well. Didn't get to showcase Moltres-Galar here but it should see at least a bit more usage on offenses in SV ND given how well it can snowball games.

Week 4 vs Skyiew
:iron-moth::scizor-mega::zamazenta::thundurus-therian::serperior::garchomp:

One of the more creative offenses I have used in a while, featuring Iron Moth (SpA+ Booster), Electrium Z Thundurus-T and Serperior. I knew Brazil was out of contention for playoffs, but Skyiew is still a great player + aggressive pilot and I wanted to try to counterteam what appeared to be mostly sealoo/seth balances throughout the entire scout. I loaded into Darkness sun which was a nearly perfect matchup for Iron Moth (especially this variant) and Thundurus-T was able to clean the remainder of the team. It has a really unique profile on screens and with Z + NP + excellent coverage, it can usually claim at least one trade if you hit your focus blasts.

Week 5 vs Slikkles
:ting-lu::zapdos::kingambit::Zamazenta::cinderace::slowking-galar:

I thought for a while about how I would describe this game, and decided that I am simply not going to say anything about it at all.

As for the team, I prepped heavily for this game despite France being out of playoff contention because I was coming off two solid wins and wanted to keep momentum going into what I thought would be playoffs. Went with the rare AV gambit because I expected Diancie and offensive Ghold, SD Ace because it nuked all of the common Ace checks on the balances he liked to use (and it tends to destroy balance in general), and full PhysDef + Ice beam gking paired with Weather Ball Zapdos to lure Glisc/Chomp/other grounds that are otherwise troublesome for the team. I ultimately loaded into exactly what I built this team to beat but the game had other ideas.
===============================================================================================================

Happy that I got to play NDWC for Northeast again. This tour has a special significance to my career with this community and it's not something I take for granted. Don't think I played poorly this tour despite some unfortunate RNG in a few moments, and I enjoyed building and all the time spent with East teammates. Hope East stays strong next year :heart:

Unfortunately east is knocked out now in semis, pretty happy I went 4-0 just going to drop what teams I built this tour and my thoughts behind them each week.

Week 1 Vs Kayzn (W)
1777846050252.png
Attempted to build offense with Weavile this week, was my first time actually building ou since pl. Wasn't really happy with what I built so I just let seth and slopcat send me a team, probably my laziest week but that's okay since it's week one. Lucked this game I can't lie but I think I played pretty well anyways and probably would've played a bit better if I didn't get the luck that I did.

Week 2 Vs Myjava (W)
1777846200855.png
Honestly didn't really feel like building this week either, I spent most of my time deciding between stall or loading a comfort team. Decided on loading comfort and net a pretty solid matchup in my opinion, prep went pretty well but my in-game was atrocious this week. Absolutely my worst week in-game and I lucked this one pretty hard, apologies to myjava for that but this team is pretty easy to pilot though I wouldn't reccomend to load it on ladder/in tour anymore cause it feels kinda outdated ngl.

Week 3 Vs Ikaishi (W)
1777846331433.png
This week was the first week I decided to start building this tour, I ended up saying I wanted to try using manaphy+ceru+howl zama screens but decided on going with webs/rain instead. Probably my favorite team this tour, I built the skeleton of it in like 5 minutes with 1yr and a few others and think this is probably one of the best ways to build webs in the current meta. I would personally recommend loading a different Z every time you use this. My main reccomendations would be putting z on manaphy and making zama idbp, putting z on zama and making it elec/fighting/rock over dark there's a lot of variation. In-game the game kinda played itself, matchup was actually pretty equal because I played webs without clicking webs. Probably my best game this tour, called out his zama clicking z dark on my ceru and sacked my manaphy letting me go back into it and win.

Semifinals Vs Nashrock (W)
1777846719916.png
Built this around week 2 or week 3 of the tournament, ended up wanting to use it week 5 vs quarante8 but I subbed out and kept it for playoffs. Absolutely my worst week in terms of prep call, I loaded into a near unwinnable matchup on preview and had no way to break stall besides gholdengo. Anyways regardless of me saying that I still of course won that game, played super agressive clicking np 3 times in a row calling out doubles and basically called out everything nashrock tried doing. Dwagon ended up using this week 5 vs Yerdunc but a slightly more sloppy version of it because I didn't complete it yet, I think this team is very solid but needs very good play to use it properly.

Honestly my post here doesn't describe it but I absolutely put in more effort this tour than I have in 90% of my tours, I ended up with 6.8k lines not including me prepping in other peoples dm's and talking to other people about my builds. Extremely disappointed that we lost and that something ridiculous happened in semifinals that I won't touch on but really enjoyed this tour regardless of that. Thank you to my managers and teammates for dealing with my bullshit prep ideas and loading offense every week. Will absolutely be back for ndpl and I hope to be representing east again in ndwc 2026. MGdos16 you especially thank you a lot for all the help and talks in dms, really appreciate you as a teammate and hope we eventually win a tour together.

Also would like to thank people who helped me this tour that weren't my teammates, 1yr Ch0ppas Aso Mollymiltoast Ryuji are all pretty cool and inspired most of my builds this tour. Especially Ch0ppas, he absolutely deserves to be bought in pl to any managers reading this he was extremely active and helped me build most weeks in call or just in chat. Very great presence and extremely motivated

Feel like I'm dragging this post out now so just going to end with one last thing.

GO EAST NDWC 2027 WE WINNIN

It sucks to go out this way, but it is what it is. Had a lot of fun managing and playing this tournament especially after last year's run. Shoutout to both Bka Onon and Amaske for managing with me, as well as the hosts for hosting the
tournament.

===================================================================================================

1) Teamdump -

Week 1 vs Jojen (W) - :kingambit: :slowking-galar: :latios-mega: :landorus-therian: :ferrothorn: :urshifu-rapid-strike:

Going into the week, I was not sure what to load and what not to, so I built something that was both comfortable, yet had sets which I've generally never liked, aka band Urshifu. This team is somewhat of an awkward fit between offense and bulky offense but it works in game when you play aggressively. My in-game in this match was pretty good, as keeping up rocks and taking risks with Ferrothorn early on, definitely paid off. Ultimately, banded Urshifu came in clutch vs Fini and Zamazenta, securing the win for me.

Week 2 vs Lameflame (W) - :gardevoir-mega: :garchomp: :zamazenta: :ferrothorn: :slowking-galar: :tornadus-therian:

Before I start, I'll have to admit that I was on the luckier side this game, and this was probably not deserved. Heading into prep, I believed that Lameflame would definitely load some type of Kyurem team, since most of my scout is pretty weak to it. His builds usually had AV Alo as it's main SpDef wall, and hence Knock Off Mega Gardevoir seemed pretty good to me. Hyper Voice helps a lot with Kyurem, and Knock Off with the special walls. I kinda sabotaged myself by loading Psyshock Gardevoir into a slopcat team, on which he usually loads Pdef Gking. Another cool thing here is the Garchomp set, which I made earlier in the week, and coincedently saw Jojen use it too. Scale Shot + Z Outrage Garchomp is really strong balance breaker, and helps with Diancie due to the uncertainty of the set. The rest of the team is pretty standard, nothing much to say about it. In-game wise, I think I played this pretty well with conserving Garchomp and my maximum utilisation of resources. Also, s/o to Lameflame for agreeing to play me this week.

Week 3 vs mrfraud (L) - :Ogerpon-wellspring: :great tusk: :tapu lele: :melmetal: :dragonite: :kingambit:

In this week, boredom and burn out kinda hit hard, and I ended up loading some pivotless offense, which is pretty weird. The scout was pretty weak to SD Ogerpon-W, so I decided to go with that. Zapdos being one of his main Ogerpon checks made me initially take a balance route with Knock Off Mega Scizor, but then I switched up to a Darkinium Z Kingambit. This team had a pretty bad matchup into what was loaded, and I did my best to push the game as much as possible, although there was nothing much that could be done. I don't think the team is bad, but it could definitely use a lot of fixes and edits.

Week 5 vs Ikaishi (L) - :gliscor: :zamazenta: :latios-mega: :alomomola: :heatran: :zapdos:

I got pretty busy this week, and initially wanted to load some Mega Houndoom sun, which looked good into the scout. Hours before the game when I was testing, the team didn't feel like it, so NoName suggested SD Gliscor and passed a paste with it. I then suggested Pdef Heatran, since AV Alo + Gliscor walled almost everything. Heavy Slam on Tran is pretty cool, since it breaks Volcarona's Substitute, as well as hits fairies, especially CM Clefable and Tapu lele. I choked this game by not Earthquakeing the Tapu Lele, and got a bit unlucky with the Hurricane miss on Garchomp. The matchup was pretty even, although I played pretty badly.

Semifinals vs hellom (W) - :charizard-mega-y: :gholdengo: :alomomola: :great tusk: :iron moth: :zapdos:

Now, the game that I am most proud of. Once again, I got pretty busy and started prep on Sunday Morning. I was genuinely clueless on what to load. TBE told me to load something comfortable, which after looking into scout, I realised that these were mainly Sealoo builds, and were pretty weak to Sun. Sun is also pretty comfy for me, so it was loaded. The earlier version had a Shuca Gholdengo, with a CB Weavile over Zapdos. Realising that Mega Lopunny 6-0d this, I decided to switch to Scarf Dengo with a Pdef Zapdos. Iron Moth was a pretty cool load as well, since most of his teams were weak to it, especially when aided by Toxic Zapdos for Ting-lu, HP Ice for Dragons (s/o Piyu and NoName6293). The rest is pretty standard, and after testing a lot, this was finalized. As I went in game, I loaded into full sun with Venusaur, which was a pretty bad matchup. You have to play aggressively with this team, which I did the first five turns and set the tone with a lot of confidence throughout the game. Pretty happy with this win, although I do wish we could've made finals since I kinda started feeling it again.

Some other teams -
:charizard-mega-y: :great tusk: :alomomola: :hatterene: :landorus-therian: :raging bolt:
:houndoom-mega: :torkoal: :cresselia: :great tusk: :raging bolt: :iron valiant:

(All of the teams here are sample submissions, except the houndoom one)

Overall, decently happy with my 3-2 record, with most of them being really good games played. Metagame wise, I don't really enjoy it, although it's not too bad, but stagnant or repetitive might be the right words.

===================================================================================================

2) Shoutouts -

Bka Onon - Both me and you were interested in managing, and we ended up doing so. S/o to DBD for letting us do so. You pretty much handled Mono on your own, which was pretty cool seeing how you started off 4-0, but unfortunately lost the last two, but that's a part of mons. Having you in chat was also really nice, since you were pretty active. Hope we can continue this next year as well.

Amaske - After your general performance last year and in circuit, you were one of the most obvious picks for the teams. Having a self sufficient OU slot was definitely worth, even if the games didn't go in the best way possible. Helping around with the draft slot ocassionally as well as managerial stuff was appreciated too, so thanks for that as well. Let's run it back next year.

NoName6293 - Do I really have to say anything? First of all, thanks for signing up and playing for the team. After an 8-0 run and a solid 5-1 run, you are one of our best players. Mostly doing prep by yourself and winning games was pretty impressive. Helping out with building and bringing vibes to cord was also something I didn't expect, but you did do it so thanks!

myjava - Sorry we couldn't help you much and you had to leave mid semis, but that's okay and you had a lot of contribution to the team. Being able to prep on your own and testing with the tz difference was neat, and your games were pretty nice too. Wish you the best in whatever's happening right now, and hope we can play together next year too!

RaJ.Shoot - Loved having you around, and seeing you cook up new stuff in SSND all by yourself. Your games were pretty nice, especially with stuff you've build on your own, and even winning with it. Can't really say much here since I didn't pay attention in the SS channel besides building, but once again, it was great having you around.

Alpha1013 - Thanks for being around and helping Raj build and test for SS. Sorry we couldn't let you play more, but the season was tight, and with despite your IRL stuff you were still decently active, and hence, it was nice having you.

AIRedzone - Holy doubles goat. Initially, I was searching for DOU players, and I came across you and asked. Thanks for playing, and especially doing so well in such a stacked pool. Lowkey we wouldn't have come this far without relying on our doubles slot to clutch so many games. It was nice having you, and hope we can do the same next year.

Opelucid - Another doubles goat. Your calls with building were really good, and helped us get good matchups pretty much every game. Sorry we couldn't let you play, although I hope you did enjoy it! Once again, prep was nicely done, and thankfully you guys had similar timezones so we could leave this slot up to you.

Fierce Flamethrower - Originally, Amaske reached out to us with your resume, and we decided to take you in. Even if the season didn't go your way, it was nice having a ND Draft mainer on the team. I hope you enjoyed your stay, and had some good tournament experience with us. Your draft builds were also pretty cool, which I really appreciate.

Tricknology - Another underrated draft guy. It was nice having you especially with both of your schedules being busy but having time for playing for us. Again, hope you enjoyed your stay, and thank you for subbing in and playing your best when Fierce couldn't.

Saurav the great - Of course, was a pleasure having you and thank you for subbing in on the short notice during semis. Taking part in prep occasionally, and being active in chat was pretty sweet. Liked having you, and sorry for the little amount of prep we did for you.

Novax - It was nice seeing you be around for prep, and being available for testing. Also, thanks for subbing in when I couldn't play. You were pretty active and determined to win, but unfortunately this is how it ended. Additionally, you brought vibes into chat, and that's always appreciated.

TGA - Unfortunately we couldn't give you a chance to play, although having you around for subbing was nice, and the help with prep was also appreciated.

Shoutout to all the helpers - Aso Vioz Dabman1069 Sputnik Sunnyboi0 Mateeus Dead by Daylight and especially, TBE for helping us in playoffs, as well as the regular season!

I loved the synergy and vibes this team had, and I hope everyone had fun since it is what we care the most about, as well as making it to Semifinals and putting up a good fight, especially after the last 2 years.

===================================================================================================

That's all from me, see you in NDPL :heart:.

hi, thought I'd do a teamdump as well
I was pretty much solo prepping Mono all by myself other than having tests with Sunnyboi0 and style.css and input from CrossHeart (HUGE thanks btw) until Semis when Mateeus joined to help asw

I'm gonna be splitting every team into 3 sections as I normally do in my team dumps
1. The Prep
2. The Team (Click Sprites for Import)
3. The Musical References (PLEASE listen to the music)

Week 1 - vs. Sagazinha (W)
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexmonotype-921435

Prep: Being very honest I did not prep for Sagazinha, they don't play NDM and had no records of so, but Brazil obviously has Mateeus, so all my prep was essentially based on his scout and what he could pass to Saga
Mateeus_Scout.png

Team: :hippowdon::mamoswine::landorus::excadrill::great-tusk::clodsire:
So based on the scout, my brain went to something around Mamoswine Ground, and the idea came to borrow a set style had used before with Z, except add onto it Protect, to feign band as well as throw Saga off with the possibility of it being Lead Mamo if I ever lead it. Other than that it's a pretty standard Ground team with the exception of Chople Excadrill, which I picked because I know Mateeus' tendencies for Normal and Exca lives MLop CC with Chople, which would've been really funny if it happened xx.

All Songs are by the Musical Duo Outkast
I chose them mainly because of the old Wild West vibe of their music that runs through the Ground type imo, and because SBR had just dropped, so I really wanted to use Hey Ya!

Week 2 - vs. Fixzation (W)
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9nationaldexmonotype-2575024124-6y1xekxefmnr3gmlik8xb4co7lrxetopw

Prep: I've played vs Fix many times over the past year and I believe I'm 4-1 now, so I already had extensive prep done on him beforehand, which I just used again
Updated_Fix_Scout.png

Team: :latios-mega::kommo-o::archaludon::goodra-hisui::raging-bolt::latias:
I knew his scout is extremely Dragon and Flying heavy, but I had a suspicion he could Water asw based on my then recent usage, so to account for all 3, I chose a Raging Bolt Dragon variation, not something common at all, but I LOVE AV Bolt, it is EXTREMELY good, and it came in insane clutch during the game itself because my Water call was completely right.

All songs are by the band Led Zeppelin
I'm a huge Led Zeppelin fan and their music really REALLY fits the Dragon type, "When The Levee Breaks" was the track I was obsessed with during that time and I figured I might as well use it here!

Week 3 - vs. bello figo (W)
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexmonotype-924733

Prep: So for this week I didn't really know what to load because bello figo doesn't play Mono, nor did the team have a proper mono slot, so I just went with checking my own scout. Issue is my scout on replay scouter is non existent so, I kinda had to revert to my gut and a comfort pick which ended up being classic Psychic, except ofc with the Bka Onon Double Scarf.

Team: :gallade-mega::iron-boulder::slowbro::jirachi::tapu-lele::latios:
Just classic Psychic but with 2 scarfers here, nothing too special, Psychic is my comfort type and my favourite type because it's so versatile and usable, this was no different, especially with the Z Latios and Sub Gallade combo, which came in CLUTCH vs Clodsire on opposing ground, letting me easily win.

All songs are by the artist Baby Keem
His high octane Rap is something I feel fit double scarf teams very well, and boost adrenaline with fast gameplay lmao.

Week 4 - vs. Fraolain (W)
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9nationaldexmonotype-2587429295-56ed33q054apls6dtlvpbq1y8690wonpw

Prep: So I fought frol last year for NDWC as well and I remember his scout being particularly Water weak....so I loaded water into him last year....and decided to do it again!

image.png

Team::pelipper::ogerpon-wellspring::keldeo::greninja::swampert-mega::empoleon:
This is almost the same team I loaded into him last year, except with a few things changed around, namely MSwamp > Barra and Emp > Pex, because I didn't want to load the exact same team + I wanted better outs in a potential Dragon MU, regardless Gren was the goat this game and I played pretty well around all threats.

Week 5 - vs. Tarre25 (L)
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9nationaldexmonotype-2593018644-qu1eml1h128nnkektuucp2ws93h84hepw

Prep: So Tarre at this time was going crazy paranoid over Poison usage because his scout was uber weak to it, so my plan was to flip that on his head by using Steel to ward off things he could bring to beat Poison.

Team: :scizor-mega::heatran::gholdengo::iron-treads::celesteela::ferrothorn:
Unfortunately my winning streak came to an end with this week, mainly due to bad rng on a very very bad roll, but I still believe my prep and the team was great, alas. Regardless, I picked Curse Sciz here to beat both opposing Sciz in a 1v1 and to completely ruin Ground MU for him, if it had happened. AV Treads also complements it here to soak up any hits that it would normally not.

Semifinals - vs. Trichotomy (L)
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexmonotype-931765

Prep: This was obviously the single hardest game to prep and play. I don't lose in builder to many people, but the only 2 people to have consistently beaten me in it are style and Trich, both on the same team, alongside crashy help. Thankfully this was the point Sunnyboi0 and Mateeus joined in properly to help me out and we were able to craft a team that took into account the 4 most possible MUs and win all of them: Dragon, Water, Flying and Steel.
South_Scout.png

Team: :slowbro::victini::jirachi::iron-boulder::tapu-lele::latias-mega:
I'm still saddened by this game because I WOULD have won but I had EVERY. SINGLE. INSTANCE. of rng go against me, the odds of what happened in the game happening are astronomically low like, give me this luck in my gacha games man. Regardless I truly believe I won the builder game here, for this team is extremely potent into what he brought and what he could've brought, and I really really like it.

That's the end of this, I had a lot of fun this tour in both building and playing, having both my losses be to RNG is not something I particularly like, however, it's the game so whatever. 4-2 is in no way a bad record, so I'm happy with my performance; see you all in NDPL!! (Please draft me)

41 is a drill group that originated in Brooklyn during the Covid-19 pandemic, its most notable member being kyle richh. Him being established put Brooklyn on in a great way, not only giving it a new sound but keeping party/club music for all of new york fresh. I try my best to push the tier forward with innovation team-building wise, as well as giving back resources that everyone can use and learn from.

My names Isza, you will see me referred to as Kaiser or shali sometimes. I wanted to showcase the teams I built this tour, as well as the teams I made for NDCL this year. These are all sample submissions, and this time around ive tried something new: post game review for each opponent. Smogon culture in officials has shifted to sheet looking culture, and your individual records aren't a clear picture of your season. You could go 8-1 and play like shit every other game, or go 1-8 and play really well every game. I've listed all my mistakes in each individual match up for those who want to see, especially my opponents for that week. Some might have alot of mistakes, and some might not have any. This isn't law of course but just my opinions.

I didnt really focus on prep too much this tournament. My main focus was to push my boundaries building wise and use stuff I liked no matter how it looked. Full manual sun imo is garbage and the zard y stuff is kinda mid so we ended up with half sun offense. Venu looked great into his scout especially with epower/earthquake for slowking. Star of the team is def eject pack tusk which gives me ton of momentum after a v strong hit. Diancie is my offensive hazard control and dnite is my set up sweeper of choice outside of sun. Cres is good for healing Wish+checking zama well enough.

Another version of clef spikes, although this ones a bit weird. I have water absorb clodsire+scarf bisharp, 2 very unconventional Pokemon but necessary. With clodsire i needed a ground+an oger check that wasn't pech and after skarm heatran clef lati theres only so much you can fit. Clod not only cucks unsuspecting ogerpon/shifu but still checks electrics anyway. Scarf bisharp is mainly so that I have speed control+ dont auto fold to ghold. Nasty plot+hazards gets nasty really quick and trick on trans annoying long term. This wasn't my best game, although not to discredit him I think his match up was p good despite me having tools. Between regen knock, his own spikes/removal and plot gold I was having a hard time but I played like ass. Would try this out its kinda fun.

When the week went up I immediately knew I wanted to stall because my brother was bringing some passive bs thats good vs offense but can't break. Asked slopcat for stalls although wasn't a fan of some mons/sets so i combined his with my thought process. Life orb clef is kinda cool here, its my knock absorber that can also potentially act as a wincon. Ghost of choice is sini to check ogerpon better+spinblocks vs all the grounds. I'll admit early burn on weavile really helped me and was p lucky. Risk seemed questionable with corv but also its one of those "try to deal with it now so you're ok later" kind of situations and i was comfortable with fishing since i lived any hit. Like the way this game went didnt play like a bot and kept my cool.

Could you tell I love clef spikes? This I actually didnt make this tournament but I decided to reuse it because of its consistency. Won't go too deep into the team seeing as everyone knows how it works, although wanna say scarf heatran is super tough. Great surprise factor mon with heavy slam to OHKO lele, diancie, and iron val.

Didn't really prep for this week, i built this for lero in the previous week since he wanted webs but i actually thought it was trash and scrapped it. Then lameflame was using it with success and i decided to revisit, wasn't actually that bad. Sini creeps defensivezap by 1 and the rest is p standard. Couldn't play the game much cause his match up was 100-0 although trickroom is a good pick into my teams.

during semis I prepped p early because I already had an idea of what I wanted to use. It was either NMI Kyurem or offensive zapdos. Earlier in the year I made it public that i thought the xurk Ebelt hp fite kyurem was the best set however ive changed my thought process. NMI beam lets you muscle past mons like clef, ferro and molt while still being great into everything else. Offensive zap is also super good in this tier unfortunately ogerpon exists so its limited to its defensive spreads. Since im using 2 rocks weak mons decided i needed good hazard control and picked hat+treads for maximum effect with mola as the last defensive piece for fire types. Ada quick attack lop rounds out the squad, with double priority being good into HO. Iron val+latios match up was annoying however I played very well and cruised to victory.

I'm a firm believer that building in ndwc during regular season if you're established is a waste of time. Not alot of people who play the tier are slotted in and aren't tapped into resources. I let finch use KDCA teams up until playoffs since hes been using mine for years. Made this team because I thought offensive zap looked good into my twin. Was a very chaotic game but ended up winning, not reviewing cause I wasn't clicking.

Shout outs to my teammates and helpers, you all did great. Was a little mad about semis(also appreciate the dms i got from some of you regarding that bs) but I have some clarity knowing that 1. Something like that will never happen again and 2. Most of us already got our rings. If people want to troll and turn it into US northkek and undermine the effort everyone else put in that wants their first then this result is valid. Gl to both in finals also would be cool to see either win. Will post my ndcl stuff in Bazar soon, and as always thanks for having me :heart:
