Need help with semi-stall team (with some other caveats)

So I am starting a new run in Scarlet and wanted to make a non-legendary team that I could use in game, but still had some competitive viability. I'm not looking to reach Masterball tier or anything like that - but don't want to be trounced every battle. I also wanted to use Serperior, since it will make solo tera raids manageable. Finally, I want to avoid overlapping types if possible. I like the idea of a team that has a lot of stall potential while not being a total stall team.

I'm not the most advanced player but hopefully, with some advice, this team can be usable...

Serperior (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Contrary
Tera Type: Stellar
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leaf Storm
- Giga Drain
- Substitute
- Dragon Pulse

The main sweeper of the team, contrary and leaf storm are a must, with giga for some healing and DP for a check on dragon types.

Slowking-Galar (F) @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Chilly Reception
- Sludge Bomb
- Psychic
- Protect

A powerful member of the team that allows for setting up snow while also dealing good damage.

Weavile (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Knock Off
- Ice Spinner
- Ice Shard
- Fake Out

A surprisingly resilient mon when in snow, covers G-bro's weaknesses and has the additional benefit of getting rid of terrain and items.

Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 36 HP / 108 Atk / 56 Def / 56 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Toxic
- Spikes

I wasn't sure how to build this one, I have seen a few variations - but don't think my set up is all that practical. I worry that by doing bulk and defense, I won't do either very well.

Clefable (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Stealth Rock
- Draining Kiss
- Encore

Another annoying mon to deal with given encore and stealthrock. I think draining kiss for healing is good, but it might need a better coverage move.

Dondozo (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Careful Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Body Press
- Wave Crash

One of the best stallers ever - the fighting terra is to add even more damage to Body press and to provide a check to something like Mewoscarda who would otherwise be a big issue.

Ideally, I had Don, and Clef as physical walls, with Slowking as a Special wall. Gliscor and Weavile can both be a nuisance and serperior can sweep.

oh, stellar serp needs tera blast, that's the point. I suppose you could do grass, dragon, rock, or fire. Glis isn't offensive anymore/ever. They just toxic stall, eq, protect, sub. Um, weavile likes triple axel more than Ice spinner, esp if no miraidon cause you're I guess reg h or whichever was before it. Try sludge wave, I think glowking learns it. I believe someone else might be along w/ dozo evs...use those if so, set looks reasonable. And clef is bad + so is the moveset. Too slow to encore for one, dual fairy no bueno also.

EDIT: I've never even heard of flutter mane running blast and kiss, so that's definitely not a thing if the top fairy can't pull it off.

Some of these teras werird like clef/dozo. And try more descriptions.

Thanks that’s helpful! I’m really bad with selecting Tera types - is it better to strengthen defense or offense with them?

yes, tera is why I got out when I did in may uh, this gen was brutal even among my stuff. I feel I used to be ok, unsure.

Anyways, I think this team mostly likes def teras. Serp can go either way, king is fine, glis is fine. I don't understand normal clef, I tnink you can MAYBE get away w it, but only if you fear calyrex s, which can go for almost anything, and that's not in your games it sounds like(otherwise, you 100% need 2 restricted/1 if those rules.) Dozo does NOT like offensive tera in the least, go poison, fairy, dragon, etc. uh helmet is fine. Weavile is kinda weird, but if you insist um. I'm not 100% sure of the tera, ghost resists some good stuff for it, true, but it's frail. I guess ice tera? erm. It is maybe fine, it depends on what you struggle w/ really.

EDIT: no protect on king in bss, or at least run black sludge/leftovers(leftovers stay good in tera, ideal.) As for in general on teras and offense or def, it's a bit beyond me. All I can REALLY say is tat some mons don't really ever want an offensive tera, while really anything can use a defensive one Even frail stuff for immunity, i.e. deoxys a in reg j. The exception is rotoms, those are levitating electrics and thus keep electric, doing both offense and def. They aren't good though, I'm just giving an example outside the norm.

I would highly recommend taking a look at BSS resources to see what’s viable. The current ruleset allows for 2 restricted pokes per team and not using them is just making things needlessly harder for yourself. The team as is is also unfortunately just not viable.
You can find our VR Ranking here and I’ve made and curated some sample teams to allow newer players to get a feel for the meta here

I looked a lot at BSS resources - and viability. With the exception of Weavile, all the mons could be found on OU or even Uber teams. I also get that not using restricted hampers the team, but, again, this isn’t a team I am intending on climbing hard with - more for fun and light ranked play. I know I won’t touch a team with a Hoopa Unbound wall breaking core or a rain boosted Kyogre - but I was hoping for advice on how how I might improve it with non legendaries and how to finesse the mons I have.

The teams you have on your page are all super cool, but wouldn’t be fun for a play through. Ideally I could make a team that could use regular mons, have some strong Tera raid potential and be fun. Rather than simply the most viable team.

Thanks!
