Hello fellow battlers, it took me a long time to make this team and I think I need some work on it before I finalize it and breed/SR for my needed pokemon ingame. Without further ado, let's begin.
Sceptile-Mega @ Sceptilite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Substitute
Sceptile is the main pokemon and the whole team is designed to help it sweep. Empoleon and Heatran are here because they resist every weakness sceptile has: They are immune to poison, they strongly resist ice, they resist bug (with heatran strongly resisting it) flying, fairy, and dragon. As for Sceptile's EV Spread, it's to maximize its sweeping potential. Leaf Storm is for hard hitting STAB, Dragon Pulse is the secondary STAB, Focus Blast hits steel types that resist both of those moves. Substitute is for scouting switches, protecting Sceptile, and sometimes giving it a free turn to sweep. The best strategy in this team is to switch Sceptile in on a electric type attack, get a SPATK boost and sweep. But the only problem is that Leaf Storm is not very reliable because it halves SPATK. I need suggestions here.
Empoleon @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Toxic
- Roar
- Stealth Rock
Empoleon is my special wall, it's designed to take moves that sceptile can't, and hit back with scald or a toxic in case of other walls, roar and stealth rock are to stack up damage.
Maybe this guy needs to be a bulky choice specs? Leave your suggestions please.
Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 12 HP / 248 SpA / 244 Spe
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
- Magma Storm
Heatran's job is to hit grass types, fairies, and fire types with its moves, acting pretty much as a revenge killer. However, Magma Storm will defenitely be changed but I'm not certain what to change it to.
Crobat @ Black Sludge
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Taunt
- Defog
- Roost
Crobat is my lead. It taunts other leads trying to set up entry hazards, removes them with defog if there are any, heals itself and hits with brave bird. I think I should switch to poison fang or cross poison to hit fairies?
Gardevoir @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Draining Kiss
- Magic Coat
- Thunder Wave
- Healing Wish
Gardevoir is literally my support pokemon, Draining kiss is her only move because it hits and heals, magic coat is for leech seeds and other hazards, thunder wave helps empoleon and swampert, and healing wish is for the cases that sceptile has been hit hard.
Swampert @ Choice Band
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Waterfall
- Superpower
Swampert is filler, I need a new pokemon, I chose it because I needed resistance to rock and electric.
