Negativity's silver lining: the power of positive thinking!

'sup all? to celebrate the last weekend before I start school, I decided to make a team using my top favorites, and no one else. but you don't really care about the backstory of this team, so onto the team!

TEAM AT A GLANCE:

As You can guess from the team, I don't do well. I did win once when Crobat survived an ice punch with 1 HP left, then proceeded to 6-0 his entire team. 'twas awesome. However, well I do not usually win, I am almost never taken down without a fight, and with my team, that's probably the best I could hope for.

IN DEPTH:

Swampert (M) @ Muscle Band
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
- Brick Break

The Bastard that makes this team OU. Because of My team, I havee to make them as unpredictable as possible to maximize my chance at victory. Seen something like this before? maybe something close, but probably not. First off, a physical sweeper, sheerly designed in order to take opponents off guard in the early game. If I lead with him, I am almost always Taunted, because that's pretty much the only set that is ever, ever used.EVER. This allows me to OHKO them with one of my various moves(Can almost always OHKO in my experience) And when people immediately then decide it must be a choice set, they send out something that resists the move I used, so i can hit that super-effectively, also possibly OHKO-ing it. Waterfall and Earthquake are STAB, while Ice Punch hits flying/GRass types that think they can kill him. Stone Edge was previously in Brick Break's place, however, I found myself far too walled by Ferrothorn.

Misdreavus_by_Mewkitty.png

Misdreavus (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Perish Song
- Pain Split
- Magic Coat
- Confuse Ray

Also My lead this one far more often, because SR/Spikes/whatever is just so much more common then simple Taunters that can be easily taken out by swampert. Magic Coat is freaking awesome, as it has provided me a way to lay out Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Stealth rock back at my opponent as well as any status that would normally cause my team trouble(Has become theperfect counter to Smeargle I have ever used, but that couold be because It's the only pokemon I've ever used that used magic coat)while using little to no prediction.Confuse Ray is so Misdreavus can cause some ****s and giggles as the opponent's pokemon hurts itself, while Pain split is for recovery, and Perish song stops set-up sweepers dead in their tracks, and is a wonderful counter for Baton Pass teams. Can be incredibly useful on man ocassions, however is both set-up and taunt bait., where all it can to to anyone that sets up is hope to survive a hit to perish song, or confuse it.

Minun (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Minus
EVs: 232 Def / 24 SDef / 252 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Copycat
- Protect
- Wish
- Thunderbolt

Ahhhhhh, Minun, I have been mocked many times for using you on my team, only for me to then beat one of their pokemon with it.Copycat is a very fun move to use, as it allows me to hit back any move that my opponent tries to hit me with, very situational, but has been proven worthy of a moveslot(Minun also has a terrible movepool, but that's not the point) WHile Protect and Wish keep Minun alive as long as possible, as well as being able to heal one of my partners if need be. T-Bolt is for a damage output, and while small, helps very much. anywho, to show you what Minun can do, please watch(or read, whatever) as Minun defeats a Dusclops.

I almost took out the person's Terrakion he sent out next as well, but that was highly due to hax. Nonetheless, Minun is a dark horse member of my team.
Chibi_Miltank_by_Jiayi.png

Miltank (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk/252Sp.D/4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Curse
- Milk Drink
- Body Slam
- Earthquake

THE MOOCOW!....ahem, anyway, Miltank is another member of my team, less valued then Minun. honestly, I think the reason she can't be the best she can be is because this is just a staple set, and has absolutely no unpredictability whatsoever. nonetheless, the point is to curse up, Milk Drinking when necessary, then sweeping with Body Slam or Earthquake. the weak link of this team, unfortunately.EV's are in special defense, because it seems Miltank never takes any physical attacks, only Special, and Miltank has Curse to boost her defense anyway.
154Meganium.png

Meganium (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Aromatherapy
- Counter
- Leech Seed
- Mimic

Meganium, another surprise pokemon that has definitely proven it's worth. Aromatherapy is to cleric-ize, preventing my team from status, well Leech seed is recovery. Counter is situational, however Meganium is nearly always hit by physical attacks, or Flamethrower. so, either Meganium is OHKO-ed, or Meganium OHKO's back. Mimic is gimmicky, but like the others, has proven useful. My best so far is mimicing a Bulk up from Conkledurr, using it 4 times, then Surviving a drain punch, then OHKOing back(while he was at full HP, fyi) with counter. Is a fun member to use, And I believe people definitely under-estimate him.

mad-crobat.gif

Crobat (M) @ White Herb
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Acrobatics
- Curse
- Return
- Steel Wing

Found on the creative moveset thread and then edited a little. basically the point is to Curse, remove the speed drop with white herb, and sweep with +1attack/Defense STAB Acrobatics. Return is good, as Normal STAB has strangley good coverage, while Steel wing, if it ever hits(90 accuracy my ass) deals with Rock types that wall this set to hell and back. The sole reason for my one and only victory.

*None of the pictures belong to me, I found all of them via.Google

hahaha i dont know what you expect from this. I mean props to you for making a team thats so different, but if you want to use this team in OU there's nothing anyone can do to help you win besides scrapping most if not all of the pokemon you choose. I suggest swapping out Swampert because in UU or NU you can stand a chance. I dont want to sound mean but its just true, your team has too many pokemon that are not OU for it to be competitive in OU. Good Luck in another tier though, you have some good ideas!

Great team, loved the uniqueness of your team. By using these under-rated pokes with your creative sets you can really give your opponent some hard time.

Honestly, I'm mainly hoping someone can give me a better miltank set.

Very interesting team. Obviously it isn't very good (as favorites teams rarely are.) Unfortunately no suggestions I can make to make this competitively viable.
