Neriifur's Pokemon Art

Hey here's some of my Pokemon art I've done over time. I don't really draw a lot of Pokemon art, so there's not too much here, but I'm thinking of drawing more since I've picked up X and Y.. so I figured I'd start this thread with something. Most of it is just lineart.. some coloring, but not a whole lot.

Fake-Pokemon:

Fennekin's Evolution. (Designed this before he was released.)

Did a couple doodles of Nyx, my shiny Sylveon. They're unfinished. I'm mostly practicing my art style. Forgot his bows :P Playing with color theory.. so I tested out some green on him for lighting. :P Not sure what I think of it.

Amazing Foxfire Ahri you got going there!! Can't wait to see it complete!! :x

So I decided to do a new year's resolution where I would draw a Pokemon for each day of the year, starting with #001. I'm doing lineart and coloring each one :P It's an attempt to practice a ton and see how my art style will change over time.

Bulbasaur #0013

He's going to be using his vines to get a fruit out of the tree. :P I started on him late tonight and got too sleepy, so I didn't finish him, even though he didn't really take a ton of time :) But I'll get him colored tomorrow.. and finish up his vines and the field a little, then start on Ivysaur.

Huh, must have missed this thread. I'm a personal fan of deviating from the typical appearance for Pokemons and mimicking their real-life counterparts, so it's neat to see your takes on them. Really digging that Valkyrie art above as well, never been able to handle detailed clothing myself. I also keep telling people that sketching before making the final lineart is so beneficial, so it's nice to see how your WIP images contains both. Solid work!

Bulbasaur colored. I'm pretty unfamiliar with digital coloring, so I've been trying to get the hang of it for illustrations.

I just updated it again after 5 days, so it probably went MIA ;P

Yeah I like to adventure away from the normal Pokemon style. Mine is pretty personalized and something I've developed over years. I'm still tweaking it all the time to see how I can make it more interesting and refined.
Thanks :D I've been enjoying drawing her. What's valkyrie, btw? I didn't know if it was a type of art, clothing, or character. The one I'm working on is called Fire Fox Ahri. http://www.strategyzero.com/images/LoL/SkinModel/FoxfireAhri.jpg

Yeah you should always do a ton of sketching before lineart xD My sketches are VERY rough and just change as I refine it.

Rough sketch examples:

This was the start of Ahri before I refined her, and my sylveons before I started doing any lines.:
