NU Swiss Tournament​

  • Standard SV NU
  • Each round will be Best of 3, and you are allowed to switch teams between games.
  • All changes that happen in the tier during the middle of the week will not apply until the next round.
  • You are expected to know and follow all general tournament rules.
  • VMs are only thing that matters for activity. Use this guide to ensure you don't lose via activity or coinflip.
  • Getting 5 wins will qualify you for playoffs.
NU Swiss is the second of our Type A tournaments this year, which are your best chance to qualify for the NU Circuit Playoffs! You can read more about the Circuit this year here. Swiss will work exactly how it did previously. If you need a TL;DR, then know that it will function as a Triple Elimination tournament that funnels into a Single Elimination Playoffs. REPLAYS ARE REQUIRED for this round and the remainder of the tournament. We recommend you play on the smogtours.psim.us server to guarantee that your replay is saved. Please link to the replay and not the room where the game is played.

Anyways uhh, predicts.

Stories vs feen Slightly favouring Stories, but its close. I like stories builds more and feel like the techs work slightly. 55-45
 
stories once gave me a cool articuno team for dpp nu so I am legally obligated to support

being serious though, I like how stories builds teams over multiple generations but find both to be roughly equally impressive players. I'm hesitant to say it could come down to matchup or luck, but that is the game of pokemon. I just hope the games are entertaining for the viewers and is as reasonably clean as possible

Stories vs Feen

I would love to see Stories win here, but realistically, this is Swiss which is her most cursed tour that she complains about constantly. I’m shocked to see stories wasn’t haxed in round 1. This means one or two things: either the curse is broken or God was waiting to play His card. Leaning the second one here

despite how long I've been here this is my first time winning a tour like this, and of course its the format I talk the most trash about.

Thanks to Pokeslice Shengineer big tony 2014 hammer798 LessThanThreeMan for getting some test games in with me / lending some advice, particularly LTTM who passed me the team for game 3

I did this all for lax who gave a pretty good talk to my pre-game nerves
