Team building process:
230.png

I really wanted to use a Dragon Dance Kingdra, so I decided to start with it.
395.png
230.png

I wanted a lead that not everyone on the planet uses, so i picked one of the flaming monkeys
395.png
230.png

I needed a mixed sweeper, but I wanted to Origifag a little bit, so I chose Metagross

I now had a rock resist so I could have a flying type to dodge those eqs coming at Meta and Ape, So I chose Zapdos for the job

The last 2 spots were sort of gimmicks, haha. I wanted to be unique, so I picked Smeargle to spin and Rotom to Block

Lets face it, Smeargle sucks. So I put starmie there instead. And Starmie doesnt suck.

Team in details: Changes in Green

395.png

Infernape (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 64 Atk/192 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fire Blast
- Fake Out
- Stealth Rock
- Close Combat
Standard lead set. Fake out the opposing lead then proceed to set up rocks, unless i predict a Taunt that is, then attack with either Fire Blast or Close Combat, Focus Sash to ensure rocks and to get Blaze and boost Fire Blast.

How infernape Handles the top ten OU leads:
1.Azelf: Fake out, then Fire Blast
2.Aerodactyl: Fake out, then Fire Blast
3.Swampert: Fake out, then rocks, then Close Combat till I die
4.Machamp: Fake out, then rocks, then Fire Blast or close combat till I die
5.Metagross: Fake out, then rocks, then Fire Blast.
6.Jirachi: Fake out, then rocks, then Fire Blast.
7.Infernape: Fake out hope to win the tie, if not switch to a sweeper
8.Ninjask: Rocks, then fire blast. I have trouble with this one
9.Roserade: Fake out, then rocks, then Fire Blast
10.Hippodown: Fake out, then rocks, then switch to Kingdra or something.

Kingdra (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Outrage
- Substitute
I have really been wanting to try one of these. I used a Swift Swim one on my rain team and it did wonders so I figured a Dragon Dance one might do. It is the standard Sub/Dragon Dance set. Set up a sub on a switch to ensure one free Dragon Dance. Leftovers were chosen over Life Orb to recover sub damage and damage from attacks should i fail to go beastmode on dey assez. Swift swim to take advantage of opposing rain teams.

376.png

Metagross @ Expert Belt
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 124 Atk/132 Spd/252 SAtk
Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Earthquake
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Meteor Mash
Oh the wonders of Mixgross. No one expecs their Skarmory to die from the amazingness if hidden power fire! haha! It is the standard moveset but i tweaked the evs and nature as I wanted it to be more specially based. Earthquake is for Heatran and general coverage, Meteor mash for STAB, Grass knot for those pesky bulky waters, and hidden power fire to kill unsuspecting Scizors and Skarms expecting to wall Metagross.

145.png

Zapdos @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- U-turn
- Heat Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
I was debating weather to use a physically defensive Zapdos or a Scarfdos. I chose scarfdos just because, haha. I am yet to try the wall version but I like this, he has scored me some key ko's and even pulled off a sweep or two. U-turn for general scouting, Heat wave for those pesky steels. And Boltbeam for wonderful coverage/STAB with bolt.

500.png

Rotom-c @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/166 Def/92 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Leaf Storm
- Thunderbolt
- Will-o-wisp
- Shadow Ball
I didnt really know what to put in the last 2 spots, so I decided on a rapid spinner and spin blocker. I always have had a soft spot for the orange lawnmower. Leaf Storm to get rid of swamperts and other bulky waters. Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball for stab and to help with opposing ghosts. Will-o-wisp is to cripple those pesky physical attackers suck as Machamp and Lucario that love to dark move this pesky ghost.

121.png

Starmie @ Wide Lens
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spd
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Thunder
- Hydro Pump
- Blizzard
Smeargle was not doing it's job. At all. Evar. So I replaced him with Starmie. Starmie doesnt get owned every time it tries to do anything and it can hit pretty hard with amazing coverage. Rapid Spin to get rid of Rocks/Spikes. Boltbeam for coverage and Hydro pump for good STAB. Starmie is a lot better that smeargle. haha

As you say, your Smeargle usually ends up wish-dying or trick-dying. Togekiss pulls off Trick and Wish just as well and has the bulk to last instead of becoming cannon fodder like Smeargle. It could also support your team with paralysis which your Metagross and Kingdra would particularly enjoy.

Your smeargle set is shit, if you want a spinner No one beats da boss Starmie.

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Spd, 252 Spa, 4 HP
- Rapid Spin
- Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam

smeargle has got to go NOW. Its basically a beacon that tells your opponent that hes going to win. heatran or crocune/cm rachi might be a better replacement. I rate this a 2/10. Smeargle has got to go! It doesnt even have spore!

Hey. I can't really pick up any major weakness. Which means it's a good team of course. lol
Did you have any problems with DD Tar? It seems like it. Of course Smeargle can out speed it after one DD. As you said it usually ends up wish-dying or trick-dying. Zapdos can out speed it but with Sand Storm special defense boost Zapdos isn't going to take it out. Try Mach Punch over Fake Out on Infernape. Or Try a Swampert lead over Infernape. But DD Tyranitar is not that popular. I've been running into few lately. lol Of course this situation is when Tyranitar's carrying Earthquake. Most of the DD Tyranitar do carry EQ. Plus you can always replace Smeargle with a Scizor and teach Rotom Trick to deal with dudes like Blissey. Vaporeon can also work over Smeargle. In that case Infernape can stay. Rotom gets Trick. Just a few suggestions.

Thank you for the rates guys! That starmie works wonders, Ive had a very high success rate. My big problem is breloom, I can never seem to handle that one properly.

Or use a Rest talking Rotom. Let it take the sleep and Talk away with Wow or Shadow Ball. You can always use a Scizor to BP the Breloom and T-tar and its a effective scout to find counters to Kingdra and lure Skarmory and such.

I would use a tyranitar but none of my team bar metagross would appreciate the sand. And I dont know what to replace for siczor...

Small comment, mostly a gag, but on Starmie try using Wide Lens with Blizzard and Thunder >> Ice Beam and T-Bolt. You do about the same damage and retain 10% of your health every turn.
