New Member's Team

Hey guys, I am new to the site and I think I need some help on my team.

UnluckyCat @ Leftovers
Careful
252 HP / 92 SpD / 164 Spe

Mean Look
Wish
Baton Pass
Payback

Like using him because it can heal your pokemon and can trap your opponent’s pokemon. He is also one of my 2 leaders. And it can take hits.

FlaminBody @ Expert Belt
Mild
84 Atk / 252 SpA / 172 Spe

Cross Chop
Flamethrower
Hidden Power Ice
Thunderbolt

Mainly because I needed a Special Attacker in my team and I hate Ice Pokemon (Mainly Mamoswine). And the reason why I chose Flamethrower over Fire Blast and Lava Plume is so then I can have higher PP and percentage.

BlueDragon @ Mystic Water
Naughty
Swift Swim
168 Atk / 252 SpA / 88 Spe

Rain Dance
Waterfall
Ice Beam
Draco Meteor

Like it so then I can take out dragons, bugs, and exploders. I chose Ice beam over Surf so then I can have more choice over what I use other than Dragon and Water moves.

Toad @ Toxic Orb
Adamant
Poison Heal
44 HP / 252 Atk / 212 Spe

Substitute
Seed Bomb
Spore
Focus Punch

I have this for an attacker, mainly because I like the spore combo. It also has fewer weaknesses then Lucario and Heracross (Don’t know why). It is also one of my 2 starters.

Big Boss @ Life Orb
Adamant
152 HP / 252 Atk / 104 Spe

Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Rock Polish
Thunder Punch

This is mainly a speed sweeper. It can also take some hits. And I usually play this when a water comes out.

Clamps @ Leftovers
Impish
Sand Veil
252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def

Earthquake
Aerial Ace
Stealth Rock
Roost

Substitutes:

Flower Man @ Wise Glasses
Natural Cure
Timid
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Sleep Powder
Leaf Storm
Sludge Bomb
Hidden Power Fire

I would mainly switch this in and out with Breloom. I really like it after and so yeah, that is why I am goig to use it.

This is my main defender. The only reason I have aerial ace over ice fang is so then I can get rid of Fighting pokemon. And it never hurts to have a pokemon with stealth rock.

Anyways, I still need some help. So please post your suggestions.

I just have one question.

Why are you using Rock Polish instead of Agility?

Overall, your team looks good. Keep up the good work!

ok, what I don't like about this team is that it doesn't have any really hard hitters, making stall hard for you to beat,.

on the flip side, offense doesn't do you any favor either, as you lack a fast scarfer / doexys to revenge kill with, meaning that if stuff like dragonite or gyarados get a dragon dance in, you could be in for big trouble.

personally, I'd scarf magmortar and make him a lead, as he can do that job well and add some speed to your team. I'd also slap explosion on metagross to help you deal some damage to pokemon that your team may have trouble with, like cresselia. unfortunately, umbreon has to go. replacing him with his cousin vaporeon still keeps your team healthy while helping you deal with gyarados, garchomp, and other threats that could smash this team if they set up.

Well, when I was leveling it up, I accidently got rid of the agility and since I didn't have a heart scale on me, I gave it Rock Polish.

Okay...magmortar isn't ment to be a starter. Not just that, I don't like being trapped in the same move until I switch out. But if you were talking about a flygon, then I would I would like it(Sorry if sounded rude).

Well, is there anybody else that wants to help my team?

Magmortar analysis

thank you for completley forgoing good advice for your team with the casual "okay...magmortar isn't ment to be a starter." that's a great way to get advice from people. honestly, I was talking about scarfing him, giving you a good lead, unlike your current one, which gets shut down by taunt, hypnosis, and fast, powerful lead pokemon, while at the same time adding speed to your team. I'm so sorry if I "don't meet the qualifications" to help out your team. but honestly, I don't think anyone would want to help someone so un-open to advice.

/pointless rant and overreaction

I am open to advise. It is that, I am not using a choice scarf Magmortar, I am using a mixed attacker. But I can se where you are getting at with the choice scarf, it will give me an advantage, but, I will be stuck on the same move with a mixed attacker. That is why they have a choice scarf magmortar, it has stronger attacks and can do more damage.
