New Team : Getting Back into Pokemon

Overview:

Forgive me;
if my team analysis is short and lacking.
I am getting back into Pokemon;
and I have gotten rusty.

Swampert@Leftovers
Impish
252 HP/6 Atk/252 Def
~Earthquake
~Stone Edge
~Avalanche
~Stealth Rock

A tank that can;
set up SR.
The Stone Edge can cover;
Gyrados.
Ground/Ice move combo works well;
covering most types.
Not much to explain here.

Latias@Life Orb
Timid
4 Def/252 SpA/252 Spd
~Draco Meteor
~Recover
~Thunderbolt
~Surf

This is part 1 of;
my team's "switch around" combo.
Its Latias and Lucario.
When Latias is out her purpose;
is too abuse Life Orb with;
a Recover in the move pool.
She can do:
Draco Meteor, 38.89% - 45.68% to min HP Heatran;
75.00% - 88.54% to a Zapdos;
also a OHKO after SR damage.
Surf, 43.11% - 50.90% to max HP Scizor;
2HKO Tyrannitar if predicted right.

Lucario@Life Orb
Jolly
252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
~Swords Dance
~Close Combat
~Extremespeed
~Crunch

Here is part 2.
Lucario covers Latias' weaknesses;
while Latias covers Lucario's.
If a Tyrannitar is switched in;
onto a pokemon of mine;
I can switch in Lucario for a free SD.
Crunch is to cover;
those big bulky Psychic/Ghost types.
Close Combat is STAB;
and for taking down walls.
And finally Extremespeed is for a finish.

Cresselia@Leftovers
Bold
252 HP/252 Def/4 SpA
~Thunder Wave
~Ice Beam
~Rest
~Reflect

Basic support for the team.
Thunder Wave and Reflect;
cause problems for Cresselia's counters.
The Ice Beam could OHKO a Salamance;
taking damage from Life Orb;
or Stealth Rock.
Cressilia can take physical damage;
that Blissey cannot;
and vise versa.

Scizor@Life Orb
Technician
Adamant
176 HP/252 Atk/80 SpD
~Pursuit
~Roost
~U-Turn
~Bullet Punch

It's a trap!!!!
This Scizor;
can handle such threats as:
Gengar, Starmie, and Celebi.
Technician puts Pursuit at 60;
and if they leave it goes to 80.
Roost is for recovery;
and Bullet Punch is STAB.

Blissey@Leftovers
Calm
148 SpD/252 Def/108 SpA
~Seismic Toss
~Softboiled
~Thunder Wave
~Ice Beam

The basic Blissey;
sponges hits;
and deals just as much back.
Ice Beam can 2HKO Salamance.
It can take special attacks;
while Latias cannot.

Hey. The way you write your explanations they almost sound like a poem or something. LOL

I really like your lucario latias combination. It seems like it will work well.

Got scizor, I see no need for the 56 speed evs. I would pump them into attack for a little extra kick.

If you are going to use cressilia to take physical hits then I see no need for a bold 252 blissey. Change it to calm to take special hits better. You can keep the evs though. Also move the HP evs into SDef or SAtk as blissey doesn't need them and they really are a waste IMO.

That's all.

My girlfriend;
talks like this on myspace;
and I sort of adapted the way she types. lol X]

But anyway;
I will give those fixes a try.

a scarftran can really tear this team a new one, taking out lucario, scizor, latias, and jirachi.

I like the lucario and latias combo going on though.

As for jirachi as a lead, i dont really like him just because of all the metagross and azlef leads there are, more than likely you will be u-turning on turn one alot to avoid being hit with a flamethrower or e-quake

swampert would be a good lead, he can set up SR and has protect if you sense an explosion coming because he can also take care of heatran as well with equake or surf/hydro pump.

as for the ev's i would make it a bit bulkier, but then that would give you only latias and lucario as you offense and i dont know if you want just them, but if you do make swampert bulky, then why not make more scizor offense so that you have another attacker on the team?

Swampert wants to be a Mixpert, there really isn't anything PhysPert does better at all. Use:

Swampert @Leftovers
Relaxed
236 HP/216 Def/52 SpA/4 Spe
~Earthquake
~Ice Beam
~Surf/Hydro Pump
~Stealth Rock

The EV's get a lefties number, a jump point in defense, and a boost to SpA. The 4 Spe lets you beat other Mixperts. This works especially well with Hydro Pump, as you can 2HKO them quite quickly. It also 2HKO's Skarmory.

That Latias is fine, but you could replace Recover or Thunderbolt with Calm Mind to make it more of a sweeper.

On Lucario, Bullet Punch is an option over Extreme Speed so you don't lose to Gengar, who otherwise owns you. Ice Punch is an option over Crunch, but Crunch/Jolly lets you beat Rotom-H quite well.

Where is Cresselia's Sleep Talk? Cresselia is already the biggest piece of set-up bait in the metagame (exageration, but still...) so you don't need to give people more of a reason to come in and abuse you. Ice beam/Charge Beam/Rest/Sleep Talk is a good set, or you could give it a Flame Orb and give it Rest/Sleep Talk/Psycho Shift/Any attack. Be warned that Cresselia can't counter Infernape all the time without Psychic and some SpA investment. I think I have better EV's but I don't remember them right now... I'll have to edit it in later prob.

LO Scizor should probobally be an SD sweeper. If you want it to be an SpD Trapper (like your description) use:

Scizor @Choice Band
Adamant
100 HP/156 SpD/252 Atk
~Bullet Punch
~Superpower
~Pursuit
~U-turn

Much more powerful, and it can abuse it's bulkiness better. LO generally works against Trapping Scizor.

Use Calm: 252 Def/216 SpA/40 SpA on Blissey. Jump point in SpD, max defense, and the rest in SpA. Allows it to be overall bulkier while still retaining the ability to take extremely powerful Special attacks (porygon-Z level).
