New team, getting back into Pokes!

Here is my new team. I've been out of pokemon a while, but since the announcement of Platinum i've decided to get back into it, and using this team:

395.png

Empoleon@Petaya Berry
Agility
Surf
Grass Knot
Substitute
Nature: Modest
EVs: 28 HP / 12 Def / 252 SpA / 216 Spe

He's very underestimated, and fits in here nicely. After a substitute he can use Agility as many times as he can. Then he can substitute down until the berry activates, and then he can attempt a sweep. A Surf with STAB and Torrent is a force to be reckoned with, especially as it can be used before you can move.

Gliscor@Leftovers
Rock Polish
Baton Pass
Roost
Ice Fang
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def

Gliscor is needed because tha majority of this team has a ground weak, and heracross would have fun with it too. He can defend against the bulky earthquakers. With roost he can last longer against them too, and Ice Fang puts a large dent in the majority of them. Whatsmore, he is also designed to help out the majority of my team with speed issues, especially Tyranitar, who he was made for.

Magnezone@Choice Scarf
Thunderbolt
Flash Cannon
HP [Ice]
Explosion
Nature: Naive
EVs: 52Atk/ 200SpA / 252 Spd

This may look odd, but it works like hell. Its faster than most ase 600 pokemon, but not faster than a Jolly Garchomp with speed EVs (but ypu'd see that coming a loong way off). It can take down walls with ease also. Skarmory is dead without Shed Shell, and BLissey gets an explosion in the face. With the Attack Evs it usually OHKOs her. =D

Tyranitar@Life Orb
Thunderbolt
Crunch
Earthquake
Ice Beam
Nature: Brave
Evs: 252 Atk / 232 SpA / 24 Spe

A combination of all the best TTar sets, IMO. This is designed to break down walls while not being cound by Choice iems. With support from Rock Polish Glicsor, he can tear through unsuspecting teams with his moveset, which covers all hellufalot of pokes.

Blissey@Leftovers
Calm Mind
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Softbioled
Nature: Modest
Evs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA

YOu can't live with or without Blissey, if we're honest.

But we can make changes. I don't want a cleric, and blissey can take special hits without any EVs, as long as i play her well. With this set she can still defend against the Gengars and the like, but she can build herself up to get rid of them as well. Very good end-game pokemon.

Bronzong@Leftovers
Stealth Rock
Gyro Ball
Earthquake
Hypnosis
Nature: Sassy
Evs: 252 HP / 200 Atk / 52Def

This team needs mors support, i thought, so i'll bring in the Ground-resistant cavalry. Gyro Ball packs a punch, and it can set up the ever present rocks and set dangers to sleep, so Gliscor can set up on them and pass it on.

Thats my team, what do you all think?

Huge DDTar weakness. Only Bronzong can stand up to it, and if it switches in on a boosted Crunch, you're basically 6-0'd.

I would swap Empoleon for Machamp. Empoleon should act as a special wall, but you have Blissey for that, and its essentially a wasted slot. Machamp would provide that necessary DDTar counter and also be your primary method of threatening other Blissey (Choice Scarf Magnezone isn't accomplishing that).

You have a severe Mixnape weakness. It KO's every member of your team if it runs Flamethrower / Grass Knot / HP Ice / Close Combat. I don't see Magnezone as much use on this team, so I say scrap it for a Vaporeon. Run a Bold one with 252 Def / 188 HP / 68 Sp.Att using Wish, Protect, Surf, and HP Electric (to cover Gyarados, who you also have a problem with).

Gliscor isn't being utilized properly IMO. Sure it can pass speed to your Tyranitar, but I feel that it needs to be more defensive to cover hard-hitting sweepers like Garchomp. I would run the standard 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 Att with Roost, Ice Fang, Earthquake , and Stealth Rock.

Tyranitar's EV's are off. I would use 180 Atk/252 Spd/78 SAtk and Fire Blast over Thunderbolt to nail Skarmory/Forretress switch-ins. Also run a Hasty nature.

CMBlissey barely works in OU (its more of an uber thing). I would run Calm at 252 Def / 176 Sp.Def / 80 Sp.Att with Ice Beam, Seismic Toss, Softboiled, and Thunder Wave. It's a more effective OU set and virtually walls all special attackers.

Bronzong is fine, I would actually make it your lead.

Good luck.
