Leech Seed is an option over Giga Drain to slowly chip down Tinkatuff, Koffing, and Mareanie while also healing teammates that lack recovery like Piloswine, Krokorok, and Scraggy. Ivysaur can take on a myriad of offensive threats like Dragon Dance Scraggy as well as Thwackey and Krokorok, which teammates like Dusclops and Dunsparce appreciate. Its typing naturally allows it to take on special attacking threats like Servine, Drakloak, and Glimmet. Ivysaur struggles to deal with the tier's potent Fire-types like Monferno and Fletchinder, so it appreciates being partnered with the likes of Quaxwell, Seadra, and Koffing.
