Standings and Records

All slots are bo1 by default. However, all slots can be played bo3 if both parties agree to bo3 beforehand via PUBLIC SMOGON VM. It needs to be public and visible to the hosts; a private Discord confirmation or PS message just before the game is not valid.

SM NFE will be played in the gen 7 OU format. The banlist and resources for this metagame can be found here.
ORAS NFE will be played in the gen 6 RU format. The banlist and resources for this metagame can be found here.
BW NFE will be played in the gen 5 Ubers format. The banlist and resources for this metagame can be found here.
DPP NFE will be played in the gen 4 UU format. The banlist and resources for this metagame can be found here.

Managers and Assistant Managers are responsible for ensuring that their players do not bring illegal teams to their games. If a player brings an illegal team, the opposition are free to either take the win or offer a redo.
To this end, the ROM server has a functional team validation system for Generation 4-7 NFE (NOTE: Horsea is banned in DPP NFE, but this ban has not been updated on the validator on ROM yet). I highly recommend checking the validity of any Old Generation teams on the ROM server prior to any games. However, please play your games on either Smogtours or the Main PS! Server in the formats listed above, as ROM has been known to be glitchy mechanically and in terms of uploading replays.
Regarding DPP NFE, if the game ends up as a draw due to both Pokemon fainting on the last turn (Explosion, Recoil, Status Damage etc) then another game must be played until someone wins. Teams can be changed for a rematch.

hey, i'm doing ss predicts again because they're pretty fun. maybe this'll be a trend.
highlight match: Shing'n Streets vs. TJ

SS NFE: xavgb vs. Kaif - 60/40, better player with far better support.
SS NFE: MAMP vs. DonnotheFirst - 65/35, better player with far better support.
SS NFE: Rav3ndan vs. Velvet Blood - 60/40, i've been gassing rav up before the tour started and i won't stop now. one of the most underrated builders (at least he was before the tour started), and all around a solid player. even if he doesn't go positive this tour (he almost definitely will) i'd be very suprised if he didn't give jett & marj their money back & much more in team building support alone. jett/marj/rav is a very scary team building core, and mamp &
were solid picks to pilot the teams. on the other hand, the corsolas are now seemingly reliant on king leo & kaif to build and may soon be the biggest argument against 10 teams. i'm expecting some massive burnout to come from these guys down the line, although i wouldn't be suprised to see them steal one or even two ss nfe wins this week. i hope they prove me wrong and keep trucking on though.

SS NFE: SaDiSTiCNarwhal vs. melancholy hills - 45/55, slight edge. we didn't see much from hills last week because thwackeys foolishly brought sun vs ferros (my bad guys) but hills played safe and carried out the game to its logical conclusion. this game could easily swing the other way, largely depending on team building which i'll get into later
SS NFE: SOMALIA vs. Tack :] - 40/60, slight edge to somalia on the team building front stopping this from being a complete wipe, but tack is a much better player, at least in the context of nfe.
SS NFE: Shing'n Streets vs. TJ - 40/60, i beat tj with 3 mons and 0 risky plays last week. that's not a slight on tj, but i wanted to point out that this is precisely because it's obvious tj was going to be being passed teams by tack & sbpc and i just got a fantastic matchup. i saw gastly & kadabra coming from a mile away and brought ss klang, spdef rose, and a fast pikachu that crept gastly and i only needed one of those mons to come onto the field in the end. i rate both tack and sbpc (i'm assuming this was more of a tack thing here) very highly, but they absolutely need to do better. if they're just as predictable this week, they will get squashed. i have faith in them to adapt, which is why i'm bolding tj here, but shing is a great builder and he's absolutely going to come out on top if they don't, purely through matchup. tjay is the stronger player though.

this is true of all three games, because the week is essentially shing builds vs tack builds in my eyes, but shing & tj is the game with the closest nfe matchup and will be the deciding game in my eyes. much like czim vs rav3ndan last week, this isn't the highlight match from a playing perspective, but it's definitely the game i'm most interested in seeing.

different levels of ability here but the point is the same either way. evi, friso, and czim have a much stronger building resource to fall back on, and with the exception of maybe miyami vs czim (who i'd say are about equal) are also just stronger players. i don't like dunking on roses each week because it makes me feel like a bully but i really don't think the SS games will be in their favour this week (or most weeks). strong edge to the nuzleafs.
