Project NFE's Secret Santa

Hello giove97, you have requested a build around Hisuian Sliggoo. Your wish is my command. Hisuian Sliggoo has been one of my favorite NFE Pokemon and it's got the stats, typing, and movepool to back up its excellence. My apologies for getting this in after Christmas. Click the sprites to access the set.

:Sliggoo-Hisui: :Dunsparce: :Girafarig: :Thwackey: :Murkrow: :Wartortle:

I chose to go with a rather standard All-Out Attacking set as Acid Spray forces a lot of switches against slower walls and Thunderbolt is great for maintaining offensive pressure against Fletchinder, Quaxwell, and Ivysaur. Dunsparce is the team's rocker and defensive glue, able to tank many hits and threaten back with Body Slam paralysis. It provided a safety net against Piloswine and Frauxre other teammates would have trouble against. Choice Specs Girafarig and Thwackey form a wallbreaking duo that greatly benefit from Hisuian Sliggoo covering threats like Poison-types, Tinkatuff, and Fletchinder. Thwackey gives Sliggoo-Hisui additional recovery while Girafarig provides a reliable check to Dusclops. Murkrow is the team's lure, having enough attacking power to OHKO Pignite after Stealth Rock while outspeeding everything up until Raboot. Mean Look + Perish Song was a fun set to try to catch opposing Tinkatuffs off guard after they see a stray Brave Bird or Thunder Wave. Wartortle rounds the team by providing an emergency Rapid Spin user, a late-game win condition, and enough Speed to once again cover for Pignite.

Sorry for the delay Shing. Happy Holidays, and here is my team for you (sorry for the delay)

:Hakamo-o: :Piloswine: :Quaxwell: :Tinkatuff: :Girafarig: :Ivysaur:

Basically supported Hakamo-o plus good stuff with CB Sedge Pilo to lure Fletchinder. EQ > High Horsepower, but the insurance vs Thwackey could be a reason to switch. Ivysaur was tossed on as a last mon since it's got utility and is a poison in a tier where tspikes are bonkers. Might be a little tricky vs Dusclops, though there is room to manoeuvre with Knock support and Girafarig. Monferno/Pignite need good reads, and it's imperative to keep the duck and the dino healthy.

Dear sleid,

Someone told me you behaved properly this 2025 year and that you requested for a team around Stunky :Stunky:. I hope it is not too late yet but I am going to share a team I built around it and that abuses one of our best mons CB Piloswine.

:Stunky: + :Quaxwell:
The team initially started with Stunky and Quaxwell as they synergize pretty well. Stunky provides a check for Grass-types that annoy Quaxwell, while the latter offers a solid check against Piloswine, one of the best and common Pokémon that clearly annoys our beloved Stunky. Quaxwell also provides entry hazard removal and a pivot, two really useful roles. Stunky also provides a Toxic Spikes absorber and setter, which are huge in our metagame.

:Stunky: + :Quaxwell: + :Piloswine: + :Girafarig:
Then, I wanted to add some offensive pressure, as Stunky is a bit tanky to offer longevity. CB Piloswine is practically the hardest you can go and CScarf Girafarig offers speed control and a Trick Pokémon, always useful to lure Pokémon including Tinkatuff. As you can see, the team is around lurking Tinkatuff, avoiding its rocks, and pressuring from that point: CB Piloswine beats Tinkatuff easily, Girafarig's Trick weakens Tinkatuff, Stunky annoys it with Temper Flare and Taunt, shutting it down. Abuse this core around it.

:Stunky: + :Quaxwell: + :Piloswine: + :Girafarig: + :Eelektrik: + :Fletchinder:
Eelektrik is another soft-check to Piloswine, that helps Quaxwell to deal with it. Besides that, it is a mixed well that helps to pivot and erase the opponent's items. I like to use it as a slow pivot before going to CB Piloswine. While Quaxwell also offered a good Fire-type switch-in and the combination of Stunky and Girafarig can soft check the Grasses, I decided to add Fletchinder to better work on that while providing Defog in case the opponent is running a hazard stack team with Dusclops. Fletchinder is fast but slightly bulky. I chose to run Swords Dance as it can catch off guard some people, but U-turn can also work. Because the only rocker could only be Piloswine, I chose to run Stealth Rock with Choice Band, which is not ideal but also can confuse your opponent, expecting it to be a rocker and not an offensive band set.

The team is slow but works overall well. Because your main wincons run choice items, you need to be careful using them as they are kind of frail (i.e., they have no Eviolite). Abuse the pivot around and pressuring TInkatuff.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
